Vickers will be in the #55 for Sonoma and Watkins Glen.

Sam Hornish will also be in the #12 Cup car for 2 races.

Reminds me of when Newman was in the car.

Interesting. His return at Bristol was very good, but I"m not sure Road Courses are the best tracks for him. Can't really recall him ever being at best decent.

Its great to see the 12 car again 👍

Any idea as to which races?

Ok, great.

Also, is it just me or is JGR alternating between the 18 and 20 in Nationwide? No 20 car at Vegas or at California, no 18 car at Pheonix.

this prooves it, most do watch nascar for the crashes. I had been quite happy at how this "new" bristol had been working where people could actually race and not have to push their way forward.

Not crashes, but close quarters racing, and some rubbing and bumping. And the result of that is usually harmless spins, which brings out cautions.

This is the type of racing fans want at Bristol. With today's lame surface there's no need to fight with the car ahead, just simply go into a different groove and ride around side by side never getting close to eachother until you pass him. Thats not challenging and is boring compared to the old Bristol.

THIS is Bristol, and the new surface does not allow this type of great racing.

He sat on Pole at Infineon a few years ago but faded in the race. He's shown flashes of potential on the road courses.

So you counter me saying people watch bristol for the people crashing each other by saying bristol is exciting because of the people having to crash each other.

It still remains one of the top 3 most boring racetracks in nascar, martinseville and fontana being the others. Should just drop them all to 1 race a year and add 3 new road courses.

Close racing = crashes. You can't have one without the other

The new bristol does not have close racing, so no crashes

It seems you are not a short track fan. Well, I am. I think they are some of the best tracks on the schedule.

He didn't say Bristol is exciting because of people crashing each other, he said its exciting because of the Close Quarters racing and only mentioned crashing as the byproduct of it. Did you not just watch the video? That wasn't a crash, that was a bump and run. Close racing like That is classic Short track action and its been like for years.

They really need to fire who ever designed Jr's new amp car. It's one of the uglyest schemes I've seen so far this year, and this is a Hendrick car we're talking about.

Sounds like the #33 will continue, only under new ownership.

Joe Falk to take over #33 team: Hermie Sadler will race in Sunday's "Goody's Fast Relief 500" at Martinsville Speedway, driving a #33 Chevrolet fielded - officially - by Richard Childress Racing. The Virginia native has confirmed, however, that the #33 team will soon belong to former Sprint Cup Series owner Joe Falk, who will make his return to the sport in two weeks at Texas Motor Speedway. "I had been talking to Richard about driving the #33 at some point this year," said Sadler on Sirius XM NASCAR Radio's Sirius XM Speedway. "And in the last week to 10 days, Richard made a deal with Joe Falk& to purchase the team and its (owner) points. Joe is a big NASCAR fan who has done pretty well in the car business. A lot of people know him, he's been around the sport forever." Sadler called this week's entry "a collaborative effort" between RCR and Falk, as part of a transition that will see Falk assume ownership of the car at Texas Motor Speedway on April 14. "This is technically an RCR effort this week," he said. "It's an older Richard Childress car with a Childress engine under the hood. Richard entered the car this weekend because of (NASCAR rules concerning) entry blanks and when they have to be submitted. After they filed the entry, conversations began between him and Joe about making the transition official in time for Texas." Falk was listed as co-owner of the Hillman Racing #40 Toyota that Michael Waltrip attempted to qualify for this year's Daytona 500, and sources say the #33 entry may be housed at the Hillman Racing shop in Mooresville, NC.

Falk ran the #50 last year, which was just a start & park team, hopefully the #33 won't have the same fate.

It actually looks awesome.

Its probably the only time ive ever seen a bump and run that didnt end with the other guy in the wall or facing the wrong way. Short track racing reminds me of the monaco grand prix. One of the most revered races in the F1 schedule, yet is probably the one with the least amount of action. I quite dislike the type of racing short tracks have. Its not world class racing its more like playing gt5 online. Cant pass a guy so ill just push him out of the way.

Ready for some short trackin' at Martinsville? Best wishes to everybody racing Martinsville this weekend. Nationwide won't be in action until April 13, when they race at Texas. The NASCAR Truck race around Martinsville is coming up later today.

To me, it screams "We're too lazy to do the old scheme anymore, so we'll paint it black and slap some racing stripe decals on it. Good to go."

Wouldn't look right with yellow numbers.

Also, John Wes Townley is in the truck race. Second best crasher to Steven Wallace.

I like the racing stripes, the contrast between the colors on both the Regular Lowes Blue/white and Kobalt Black/white works well to me.

As for Jr's car, I love the digital look on the side.
