To be fair, he got screwed over pretty good, but he's taking it way too far.

IGNORE HIM, Furi.

Didn't know this forum has an ignore feature...

As a Gordon fan, I'm disappointed that circumstances went against Jeff as he had the car that looked like it would have dominated the last part of the race had no cautions occurred. But, those things happen in oval racing and there's nothing that can be done about it.

Advice taken my fellow Red Bull driving friend...

So, what exactly happened to get the #24 brigade so angry?

Yup, He's just gotta make a come back at pocano, AGAIN.

I'm not sure why one is so angry.

Jeff had a loose wheel develop while he was leading the race. He pit, which put him just barely 2 laps down. Through the race going green for so long, he regained the lead when the rest of the field had to pit 20 laps later. Then his next and what should have been final pitstop approached and he went back to a lap down. Caution for debris comes out and that put an end to Jeff's chances of winning based on pit stops strategy. Couple more cautions and Jeff finishes 13th behind Keselowski.

Debris caution for debris that likely wasn't there. That's what I'm upset about at least. But you make your own luck, and the pit crew screwed up to put him in that situation in the first place.

Seriosuly crazy to think that.

A motor race is difficult to fix. And NASCAR is nigh on impossible.

If Nascar throws "debris" cautions at certain times, they can easily manipulate the outcome of a race. :yuck: And who the 🤬 knows what goes on in race control and behind closed doors? Think back to the fall Richmond race and Paul Menard's "mysterious" spin.......

Once again, you provide the laughs. Like I predicted earlier on this thread a couple months ago. I doubt Jeff is going to come back and it's not just bad luck he has to face but just being outdone by his team mates. More so Jr. and JJ. Perhaps the summer will be kind to him with the two road courses but I see Stewart and JJ as well as Kyle Busch grabing those.

Keep believing it's scripted and make sure after every race that you come on here and provide us with a tantrum:)

That's a pretty good script job for them to plan Jeff's loose wheel and I guess Kurt had a fog machine in his car so that it looked like it blew up at that exact time. NASCAR is getting more and more talented.

Exactly.

So my account on Speed.com gets deleted, and my post on here gets deleted, too.

What exactly happened to free speech and speaking your mind?

The constitution doesn't and never has protected you from private companies censoring you.

Jeff Gordon could easily have had 3 wins if it weren't for bad luck and especially phantom cautions. NASCAR has no need for random cautions like that.

Whatever. Better luck next time, Jeff.

Scripted or not, it was stupid that we didn't get to see what the debris was and all we know, we have a caution. Hopefully he can do well in Pocono.. It's been some time that I want to see him winning.

Always question things. Why did Johnson win the race? Dreamworks payed NASCAR so Jimmie Johnson can win. And advertise those wack a** afros and that 🤬 movie in victory lane. That's why Jeff lost. Nascar scripted the hell out of that race.

Given Jeff's "bad luck" this year, I predict he'll be leading at Pocono by 5 seconds with 2 laps to go only to run over a piece of real debris Nascar didn't notice when they were throwing the phantom cautions. :grumpy:

If that happens, I'd probably just laugh. It would be reminiscent of the Dover race back in 2005(?) where Kasey Kahne was dominating the race with 20 laps left when someone's engine blew and Kasey spun in the oil because NASCAR thought there was no oil on the track from the blown engine.

If they had thrown the yellow flag, all of the Kasey Kahne fans (both of them) would have complained about how NASCAR was biased against Kasey Kahne and was trying to bunch the field back up so everyone had a better chance to beat him on the restart. Did you see the track crew pick up any oil under that "caution?"

Speaking of Jeff's bad luck, even though it's continuing, it seems to be turning around. By the way, Sonoma is up and coming. Only a few more weeks.

Sounds kinda like Rudd in 2002 at Pocono. He was leading until he had a tire problem with less than 10 laps to go.

I know it's early, but I wouldn't be surprised if rain's an issue this coming weekend. Seems like a recurring theme every single year.

I bet this entire time, all blown engines have been sound effects and smoke machines. NASCAR is in cahoots with Hollywood. That's why the movie sponsored car won the race. 💡

MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: The "Pocono 400" has been renamed to the "Pocono 400 Presented by NASCAR".

It all makes sense now!

Yeah did you see how could Ricky Bobby was at Talladega - Kurt Busch is Ricky Bobby. Only guy who can smash cars up for no reason and still be going! Puts Steven Wallace out a job!!!
