Anyone else a fan of turning left?:p

Really think Edwards will finally break through and win the title.

Obviously not, since this hasn't seen a reply in two and a half months.

This brings me to something I've often had to point out to NASCAR fans playing Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo. When there have been places that players nominate tracks they'd like to see added, either as future DLC or for the next game, there's occasionally a NASCAR fan pleading for more ovals. They're always a small minority, heavily outnumbered by nominations for particular road courses, and the reason is that road courses is what most race fans want, and not ovals. There seems to be difficulty understanding that while NASCAR and oval racing is relatively huge in the US, on a larger scale it's more of a small niche.

The other relevant issue here, since we're talking about player interest, is how this actually effects the real motorsports. Racing gamers generally aren't turning left all the time, but rather typically enjoy non-oval racing games. This is important to something like real-world NASCAR because while NASCAR viewership is still strong with older demographics it's falling sharply with younger generations, which are the future of the sport. Over time, more and more of those older viewers will die off, with fewer replacements coming in. If NASCAR can't start appealing more to younger race fans, then some decades down the road it will find itself limping along as a shadow of its former self.

But I digress....

One thing that should be pointed out to you is that nobody gives a damn about your biased opinion.

You don't like NASCAR, fine, I get it, ignore it than. Why do you feel the need to bash it so much? Does it's mere existence bother you that much?

Hell, I can't stand to watch MotoGP, yet instead of going around blindly bashing it, I just don't watch it and pretend it doesn't exist.

Get a life, troll.

I try to watch it as much as I can, but it can be on quite late in the uk. l like the simplicity of the cars.

I think what he's trying to say is that NASCAR needs to change in order to survive. Personally, I find it a bit dull (not as dull as baseball, though), but have great respect for the skill required to drive those cars at the level they do.

I know what he is trying to say, he just bases his "facts" on absolutly nothing and thinks his opinions are facts.

For instance last year they actually gained in the 18-34 bracket.

They are also making the cars look closer to their production counterparts next year.

Toyota and Chevrolet haven't shown theirs yet.

He has shown several times on GTP that he does not, he also seems rather bitter about its mere existence..

Love Nascar. Go Dale Jr!!! Also love the fact that they are changing the cars and making them more street-like in appearance.

Seems odd, for someone who is supposed to like cars. If NASCAR didn't exist, a lot of excellent drivers would be out of jobs, and a lot of people would never have become car enthusiasts.
