Ok one guy has a copy and he's in this forum. The only negative I read was damage doesn't show much right away. But after the caution damage is grand. He does post later that he took only 5 cars on the track and damage shows right away after a crash. So it has to be a frame rate thing. To much for 20 cars to have parts flying all over without frame drop. He says AI is pretty much top notch. AI causes realistic cautions and the battle for the lead. Bottom line the game sounds like a home run.

The wait is nearly over, I'm not sure when I will get my game, got it on order but might not get it tomorrow. Anyway, if I don't have it tomorrow then hopefully will have it sometime later in the week.

Not that' I've found.

I'm really itching to get into the tuning options. Anyone know if there will be leaderboards?

It's a long interview but it says....

GEV: Describe to us if you can, the online component of the game. Why should gamer’s be excited for this?

GW: Private Lobbies, Voice Support, a unique Leaderboard Challenge Mode, Endurance Races and more. Players have complete freedom to create custom races with their chosen parameters. Players can also Rank-up online, unlock new content, and inspect each other’s performance and race stats using the Driver Credentials feature.

Of course the spotter VO is also featured in the online part of the game.

Two player split screen is also available in the game.

No tire marks, smoke or visible damage during the big one, they only show up after the green flag (caution) maybe because of frame rate issues

FYI, I just saw that Amazon has preorders of NASCAR The Game 2011 for $60 with a $25 promotional certificate. Real good deal that might only last through tonight.

Don't even think about trying this game with the T500! Though there is some, there is hardly any steering input let alone FFB. I'm guessing the game us still seeing this wheel as a DS3? Tomorrow I'll set up the GT3rs CSP.

Sound is good. With a DS3, handling is pretty good compared to EA's offerings. I am by no means a DS3 driver.

2 player "pick up and play" it's fine. 2 player has about 19 cars max, can't remember exactly. AI amount is adjustable.

Graphics need some work. My issue is with contrasting colors. The Daytona day race, the track surface is too bright. In the shadow of turns 1&2 it's hard to see the yellow line. Daytona night isn't even night, it's early dusk. Again, shadows are a big handicap. There will be lots of angry people when incidents happen because of the shadows. It just looks kind of bland compared to GT5. Yes I'm aware of flaws in GT5. At least you can still see in shadows with GT5.

I can't find the PS3 YouTube functionality.

Going to bed, dentist appointment.

Dave(theStalker) I asked Dave(Thompson) on twitter about T500 compatibility and his reply was:

@Mario_CP Not on release, we'll patch it in. We got our wheel a bit too late :-(

Anyone who's got the game willing to post any thoughts about the game ?

So much negative feedback on the Eutechnyx forum has me really worried.

I think I am going to dish out the money for this. When you really look at it, they are all complaining about online. For me, this is a singleplayer game.

And it looks like some people on the Eutechnyx forums are complaining about the gameplay in the pre-patched version (patch was released today on PS3, still forthcoming on Xbox 360). That's not going to give anyone an accurate opinion of the game.

It's far too early to determine how good the game is, so I'm not panicking.

I hope they patch it soon!

Are there any force feedback adjustment settings? I'll be using a DFGT so hopefully you can tweak it some. I definitely plan on buying the game after work, which is the first time since GT5 I have purchased a full price game. Really hoping I'm not going to be disappointed. :nervous:

Well, I've gotten about 20 minutes into the game, and it sucks... For those that don't own it because it's awesome.

- At first I thought maybe they didn't fix the AI as I easily won at Talladega on the hardest difficulty with no assists. Than I plugged in my wheel.:nervous: It's nowhere near as easy with a wheel. I haven't done a race with the wheel yet though.

- FFB is great, but haven't found out how to adjust it.

- AI is decent, at Talladega they would bump draft but wouldn't go to the point of spinning you out. Like I said above with a controller it seemed rather easy, although I did only win by .2 seconds but I was leading by 1.5 at one point.

- I haven't really touched photomode, there were a bunch of different options but I haven't really messed with any options, here's a quick shot.

Overall it is a great game thus far, much much better than the crap EA put out in the later years.

Look forward to more impressions Justin.

Might have to look into an import.

I take it there's a photo mode?

Yes, and despite what people may say, you can take pics while using a wheel, you just have to have a normal controller on the second slot.

Here is one of the pre-set created liveries.

Exporting them is basically the same as GT5's, only you have the option to export right after taking the pic, you also have an option for the quality of the pic.

Alright, I tried a race with the wheel at Daytona, I turned qualifying off so I started in the back. I wound up 37th 2 seconds behind the car in 36th(I lost the draft). I was also constantly having the few cars behind me pass as well. I think everyone that has said it's easy has been using a controller, which I would agree with.

Some other things of note.

- During the loading screens there are trivia questions, most are easy but should be informative for new fans and some just contain actual good(but useless when it comes to the game) info about the history of NASCAR.

- It seems they adjusted the driver skills a tad, in both races I've done so far the highest finishing "fake" driver was 16th. Although there was an alarming number of usual front runners in back of both races. Hopefully this is something they will remedy in the 2011 patch as it's just weird seeing Jr. finish 43rd at Daytona.

Would love to play it more, but I want to test out the other game I got today before going to work.

Just posted a bunch on my FaceBook page in my Trophies status update.

This game needs some work.

Picture quality is not on par with GT5. Daytona looks weird. Shadow darkness & contrast is bad. Overall contrast is bad.
