So...I was sitting here thinking.. I love nascar been a die-hard fan for so long. Well I'm kinda wanting to see somemore nascar tracks in gt6 maybe. You know besides daytona and indy I'd love to see Charlotte, Martinsville, Pocono would be great too, just more tracks that are nascar based. What do you guys think?

NASCAR I think is more of a bonus.(like kart races) IMO. The reason why there isn't much maps bc you can't really get creative in oval shaped track.

Sure NASCAR got drafting and sensitive steering but why need more tracks when they're practically the same and will only eat precious data when we could have a choice of day and night for all tracks for example. I think it'd be much more valuable

I realise this isnt a nascar game...But us hardcore nascar only have this to play..Nascar the game is horrible and alot of ppl like me cant afford the whole iracing deal

To put it in a softer perspective GT aims at nothing in particular it's want to satisfy all the criteria of various kinds of racing experience (rally, kart, drifting challenges, etc) so if they would add more NASCAR tracks they would have to compensate with other areas in game which is impossible for a game to run efficiently.
Just think about it logically.

I'm a huge fan too, I would like to see new tracks also. Same with F1. NASCAR tracks I would want, Talledega, Richmond, Charlotte, and Martinsville. F1 tracks Istanbul an Montreal.. Also more drivers from both series.

Edit: Nevermind. You are talking about GT6.
Even tho I'm a big fan also, as others have said, this is not a NASCAR based game so I doubt it will happen. I myself am happy with what we got. If you are looking for options, try running on some circuits. Great fun on hard tires. I also have made a few short tracks with the track creator. A small Darlington (egg shaped) and a Pocano. Also, if the rumors turn out to be true and we get Twin Ring Motegi, there is an oval with that track that could be included in a DLC for this game. That is just a rumor tho and nothing confirmed yet as far as I know.

Well...it is said that twin ring will be in gt academy...I'm sure it'll be given to everyone in a future update..at least those who attemp it lol

lol you said nothing confirmed yet, I was just saying that yea I know its not confirmed BUT i'm sure we'll get it lol

Personally I wouldn't lose any sleep if I never saw another Nascar Track or Car in any GT game again. I know that's probably too much to hope for as there's lots of Nascar fans & not just from the USA.

well nascar is one of the worlds most popular sports..Huge in every region of the world. Some of the best drivers in the world race in nascar...and if your one of those people that things theres nothin to racing in nascar then be sure to watch the coke 600 tonight..see how worn out everyone is afterwards.

If they can do Nurn and Le Mans at night, they can do Daytona night.

Although, like I said before, I am also huge NASCAR fan but you gotta give all forms of motorsports and their respective drivers respect. I'm watching the Indy 500 right now and its so hot in those cars that driver's shoes are melting to the gas pedal. Try concentrating in that type of heat at well over 200mph. Plus those cars seem alot more technical to drive. Respect to all drivers.

Hey KB..What do you think about JR.?

He's alright. Not a member of Junior Nation, lol, but I'm not a Junior hater either. I do think he is a bit over rated tho. I don't think he would be as popular if Sr. wasn't his father. Thats where most of his fans came from.

I think im 1 of a handful who understands he's not his dad, He's said in interviews in the past "im not my dad im just me" But tons of ppl expect him to be just like sr. I guess i'm 1 of the true jr fans, Idc if he wins or not i'm gonna root for him every sunday ( in this case saturday ) lol And man I swear it pisses me off how ppl say he'll never win again, and if and when he does its setup by nascar BULL**** if that was the case would he have won alot more over the years? He's been so consistant with alot of close calls. His win is coming. Not to mention he's not the only damn driver in a slump right now. Sorry im a jr fan lol A true jr fan.

I believe that NASCAR did a couple of exhibition races in Japan in the late 90s at Suzuka and Twin Ring Motegi, you could use those to get your Nascar on :)

I'm sorry to hear that, but Gran Turismo has never been about NASCAR and NASCAR isn't the sort of racing that plays a huge part of the series. Imagine you did have a good NASCAR game and then folks started saying, "Hey, can we work some Formula One in there?" NASCAR fans wouldn't want that at all, right? It's the opposite of what they like, right? That's pretty much how it is here.

Look at all the racing games out there, especially the ones that sell best. Note how basically none of them are oval-racers, and the oval-racers that do exist don't sell all that well. Oval racing just isn't popular with racing gamers. It has its fans, but it's more of a niche. It isn't just a niche interest amongst racing gamers, but globally oval racing is also a niche, in that it has its fans but outside the US they're few and far between. Here I should note that the US accounts for just 4.5% of the world's population, so being big in the US isn't the same as being big. "But there's ovals all over the world!" Yes, but they're token ovals. "There's people all over the world that like this sort of racing!" Yes, they're token fans. It's still a niche.

Some players wouldn't mind more NASCAR ovals, but most of those wouldn't go so far as saying that they want them. If you look at the feedback section of the site, where players nominate the tracks they most want to see, it's almost entirely road courses, not just in terms of how many tracks being requested but also in the overwhelming landslide of votes for them versus ovals. What this means is that road courses are in much higher demand from players, by easily a hundred to one, and probably by a much larger landslide.

Now, I don't want anybody interpreting this as me criticizing or disrespecting NASCAR. That's not what I'm doing. I'm just pointing out some truths and facts, and why NASCAR tracks are in such low demand for games like Gran Turismo. It's just the way it is.

EDIT:
I also want to point out that adding some more NASCAR ovals still wouldn't make this a NASCAR game. Admittedly, I haven't played GT5 since before Spa was added, so I don't know if Spa was somehow worked into the A-Spec event list, but I wouldn't imagine so, and if not then I would expect hypothetical NASCAR additions to also not be worked into the event list. Even if you did have races on those new oval tracks, they'd still be limited to a dozen cars, which isn't anything close to NASCAR. (Or was it sixteen? I know GT5 hypothetically went to sixteen, but almost no events had sixteen cars.)

@ lCEMAN: NASCAR is just a niche outside the US and fans are far and few between outside the US. Two very ignorant statesments. Thats why fans go crazy and tracks are sold out in whatever country they visit. Like it or not, NASCAR is the most popular form of motorsports in the world. More so than Indy cars or anything else. Thats why drivers from other forms of motorsports jump ship to NASCAR. They know how popular it is. I don't have them handy, but I've seen the numbers and they favor NASCAR....bar far. In gaming, you may have a point but in the real world, you are dead wrong about the popularity of NASCAR.

LOL I wouldn't say anything..but you gotta be kidding me. As a central European I assure you NO ONE knows what NASCAR is. Sorry buddy. I know you're a fan and all but saying things like that with no experience of living OR for example visiting other countries regularly you sound very silly.

Let me tell you what's popular here: Rally (!), F1, Motorbike Endurance, Soccer (LOL)
You get the picture. It's anything BUT Nascar.

I'm talking worldwide, not just in your little part of the world. Yes, there may be parts of the world where it may not be popular at all, but collectively, it is the most popular in the world. Don't misinterpet my words next time. I never said it was the most popular in just Europe. I said world wide. Like I said, I've read the statistics, I don't have to live there to know.

Well Europe is like 90% of Earth surface. You would think that for "the the most popular Motorsport in the World" would go beyond just 10%
....and btw I've been living in US fit 4 years now and I gotta say it's really not even that popular AND I live next to Dover you would think people would be more exited.

LOL. Beings water covers roughly 70% of the earth's surface, thats kinda impossible to say Europe takes up 90% of the earth. Thanks for the laugh buddy, lol. I gotta remember that one, lol.

EDIT: I looked it up. Europe covers only 6.8% of the Earths land mass. Guess you are a little off with with your estimation, lol.
