As @GTboyz said, even the other characters don't seem to like Spike. I think the writers want us to hate him.

I got a feeling that something bad will happen, like Spike getting jealous of our reputation. I can kind of see it when Manu talks about Spike.

Possibly. The story has been kind of relaxed in the beta with no real antangonist at all.

The surprise is that upon finishing the game you unlock NFSU and NFSU2 fully remade, better engine sound etc.

Edit: you have to race Spike 10 times along the east coast of Cinnabar Island to unlock it.

Unless you're counting the icons, which I'm going to. But even the icons seem more like friendly antagonists, anyway.

In the beta you don't really meet the icons so I'm not sure if they would be considered "antangonists". I geuss we'll see in the full game.

Try Noriyaro. They have some decent stuff on there and they've actually seen the game early.

Spike is a character in the story. He's the first guy you see. I think he's meant to be annoying, he uses the word 'bae' twice within a minute.

He's not a very good driver either. Rich kid with not much skill.

I don't mind Spike, he seems very enthusiastic but with the exception of his vocabulary and using words which are quite cheesy. It could of been worse in my opinion.

I agree, he just makes me cringe at times.

He seems like a good guy, I think he just likes to race, even if he may not be the fastest.
