But I think that was when John Riccitiello was the CEO of the company. Now its different.

Try reading this article:
http://www.cnet.com/news/how-electronic-arts-stopped-being-the-worst-company-in-america/

I've seen it, and as @lxmmy said we'll have to wait and see. Cause just cause they stopped being the worst doesn't mean they're still not bad. It's too quick to jump the gun, they still do thinks like MT and what not and unless they just get rid of that forever then perhaps. Only time will tell, but we shouldn't be turning a NFS thread into a thread about the mother company.

Anyway if this game is great, we cannot base the reputation of EA just off one game.
True, but if they can make ALOT of good games in the next 2-3 years, then maybe they won't be the worst company anymore. And if they stop with the endless DLC and season passes with every release.

And if they stop making games that are always online for no real reason. We get it, you want to be 'connected' but it also means some people can't enjoy the game. If it was like Test Drive Unlimited I could understand but even that could be played offline!

Well, the season pass for Battlefront 3 costs $70 over here, and the standard edition of the game costs $90. Do I think EA is becoming good? No.

That's normal, all games release here for around $100.
And another $70 for the SP? I don't see why anyone would buy the season pass at that price. Only $30 less than the game itself!

Anyways, back to topic. It seems people are comparing this to The Crew: Wild Run. Is it fair?

A full game being compared to a expansion? How about the original gameplay of The Crew to NFS2015?
Most people seem to think The Wild Run is a full game for some odd reason. I thought you were talking about The Crew as a whole.

If you imagine Wild Run but replace the grip tuned cars with grip tuned blind horses with an aversion to turns, half size legs that are on backwards and infected hooves then that's fairly accurate. ;)

I'll probably still pick it up a week or so after release

So do you think The Crew should have been a PS3 and X360 game instead make the Wild Run version a PS4/XB1 game?
They did release it on X360 and the only reason they didn't release it on PS3 was because it would take too long to get it working properly. I think The Crew could've been released on PS3/X360 and then they should've released the PS4/XB1/PC versions with Wild Run.
