Which game Would you choose, NFS (any) or Midnight Club (any)? I think Midnight club is better because it has outraguos jumps and motor cycles.:sly:
I can't wait untill midnight club: los angeles come out:drool:

NFS.

I have MC3: Dub Remix and its awfully slow loading cars in the garage, plus the game itself isnt too great. I still like it though. But NFS usually has the edge in looks, physics and gameplay.

MC3 for me. NFS is rehashed over and over again every year. And the part about the graphics is so wrong. Look at NFSU2 and MC3, and tell me which looks "better".

As of now, NFS always looks better, but they already have 2 new next generation versions (unless you include NFSMW for the 360...)

Even though the NFS series will always be better than the MC series, but I would still choose MC more than NFS if I made a choice. Simply because MC has a far better replay value than NFS (plus the fact you have motorcycle, have proper damage as well as a free roam mode to full around with :sly:) But I'm also interested in how good MC:LA would be like on the new consoles. The preview looks awesome, and the graphics could easily match ProStreet. :D

'90s NFS releases + PS2 version of Hot Pursuit 2 > Midnight Club series > '00s NFS releases

I understand why most of you picked NFS. It has, or had better customization (NFS Carbon was a big dissapointment to me:indiff:, I expected NFSU2 customizations 'cause I didn't play Most Wanted), but I picked MC because they had more cars than, scratch that, more cars and bikes than NFSU2. Before MC2, You couldn't really compare the two.

Better customisation? I always loved the abilities to tune your car in MC3. The NFS Series isn't bad at all, i played all titles except the newest (Pro Street)
But I would still go for MC3 Dub Edition Remix 'cause it offers more cars I personally like. And it has a good soundtrack ;)

NFS Hot Pursuit 2 > All Predecessors + Midnight Club Series

Customization was okay for a while, but racing the cops strictly is still prevailing.

Most Wanted was okay too but i dont like how its like a story, story based games usually have a low replayability value.

NFS Most Wanted might be my favorite. i have played a f midnight club game, and i just didn't really like it, so i stuck with NFS. i am definately looking forward to the new NFS, since pro street didn't live up to the hype. EA is supposed to go back to the streets with the new one and introduce a new highway battle mode.

I like MC for the customization. I played MC3 a long time ago and I noticed you can even change the license plate number. Not just the standard 'Most Wanted' or 'Carbon' letters.

I would have to choose NFS only because I have never played midnight club although I know people who own it and the say that its a great series. The new Los Angeles one is coming out soon..

Meh...

The Pre-Underground NFS games are the best, but if I could choose a Street Racer from any of 'em...

Genki's Tokyo Xtreme Racer (Shutoko Battle/Kaido Battle) series gets the nod. I'm learning more about obscure Japanese cars with every race, and though the racing is "Legalized" (just enough to attract the manufacturers) and the Shutoko Battle games have somewhat "floaty" physics, (think Wangan Midnight Max. Tune...It's the same thing) the customizability is unparalleled. Hell, get 1234 miles on your car in TXR3, and you can change your engine! Do NFS or MC allow motor swaps? Eh?

I've played both.

midnight club has the custom coloring and graphics packs I like, but the graphics are still on the blocky side (must be a Rockstar thing), and the handling is TOO arcade (I must be GT spoiled)

the graphics are "woohoo" on the NFS (even the old 1/2/3's...I want NFS2 again ), but there's just not enough interest for me in the one I DO have (the original Underground, which I just rescued from a bad pinch situation).

I would agree if I didn't hate the physics engine so much. So I object and add that Underground 2, by far the best in the whole "Street Racing LOL" installations of the NFS series and perhaps the best of the entire series on the PS2, beats out the Midnight Club games (though I haven't played the second one, to be honest).

I would say Zero gets the nod simply because of the fact that it has 300 or so cars in it. And you can buy a mid-engined Scion xB. Not to mention the best Mitsubishi ever.

I still play Midnight Club 3 Remix online even though i have cod4, the drifting is easy yet addictive even if stupid with stock tires allowing 270-290mph in a '57 Bel Air...

If you played MC3 online, you probably met me at some point. I now run a drifting club on it with some success i might add.

Kaizen Drift Team 👍

The reason why I gave up on Midnight Club titles is that they can be extremely challenging. Ever wondered why I never got to race in London in MC1 and further into Paris in MC2? It's because their difficulty can be extremely tough. I even still remember losing consistently in MC1 at the final New York City race. The bloody bastard that you have to take on in NYC has an extremely fast car that's tough to keep up with unless you hit him head on in the wrong direction just to get him to race you. If I had to choose between the two, I'd have to go with the Need for Speed series since the action is more tolerable. I still just remember NFS2:SE best as far as experiences go. I could even remember upsetting the McLaren F1 with my Ford Indigo in races.

The Midnight Club games can be too difficult for me, so I'm going with the NFS series.

It should be okay to bump this... I have to pick Midnight Club and it is much fast-paced than Need For Speed. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition plays like Burnout even though Burnout is now published by EA. Burnout Paradise was a disappointment to me. I'm really sure that Midnight Club Los Angeles will play much better than the previous installments of Rockstar's epic racing franchise. Do you know that the first Midnight Club actually plays like Rockstar San Diego's predecessor, Midtown Madness?

Midnight Club ofcourse.

the nfs series hasnt had a fun game since Hot Pursuit. :nervous:

I agree.

NFS series hasn't been fun since HP and unless they make the cops like the ones in HP I won't be getting a NFS game for a long time.

Midnight Club has been my favorite street racer since getting my PS2. Second fav. goes to Tokyo Xtreme Zero.

NFS Undercover looks kinda interesting but I see it being like MW.

JohnBM01- I was the same way but I kept at it and I eventually beat both games :)

i remember when Midnight Club first came out. (The beginning of Night racing) then NFS jumped on the band wagon. Mid night club was fun. I mean it was real fun. especially two player mode. but then started to decline. NFS HighStakes was my Favorite NFS game. but MNC has the best trailers.:sly:

Tough one, I really like NFS Pro Street and Most Wanted, but I also really like MC3 because the customization of body parts is a bit better plus it has a Chevy Bel Air...
Pro Street is better in the way of vinyls, and physics...

where is that thread where we argued about what the next NFS game, i said that it woudl suck and that it would follow a totally different format than the other ones that they came out with.

I'm writing my "See? I was right" essey

i think MC is good at what they do but if NFS could get thier act together and create a game that they know how to make they would be epic.
