After watching the trailer I think this game is making a reference to the Cannonball Run. I think this game could be pretty interesting and different. Just have to wait and see on this one.

you bet it does fills the void between 7 years of GT games lol

That's what people need to realize. Sure GT games are spread far apart, but there are a ton of other good games you can play in the mean time while you are waiting. 👍

That would be awesome... :dopey:

Trailers are sugarcoated, expect 30% less of what you see.

Aside from that, I condemn this game for storylines. [/Hot Pursuit Fanboy]

hey if they make it anything like most wanted in terms of vusualy appealing IM good wonky story or not i actually liked that one. Undecover was meh though

I just dislike what EA has done with NFS...they can choose to satisfy the new-school NFS fans or the old-school, but not both (without a miracle).

If this is anything like Most Wanted the I am buying it 👍. I think it was the best "recent" NFS with a story line. The Underground series was meh because of no cops, Carbon wasn't that good either. And EA just 🤬 up with ProStreet.
I think that EA's smart to have three different markets for gamers, they've got the Arcade/Retro (Nitro & HP3). They've made the Shift series a spin-off now. And the Action/Street racing that includes the Underground Series, MW, Carbon and Undercover.
Considering Carbon and Undercover were basically carbon copies ('scuse the pun :P) of Most Wanted, give or take a few elements (and storylines), I think that The Run seems pretty different (I don't think that there's any other NFS game with some dude getting run over by a train )

EDIT: Saw this comment on the IGN page

Didn't they JUST release shift 2 WTF!? They need to stop all this realistic driving and cop chasing stuff and make a NFS Underground 3 With sick customization and dubstep, nuff said

By 'sick customisation' he probaly means 'vomit-inducing customisation'. To normal people anyway.

Very interesting trailer for sure. Definitely going to keep an eye out on this.

Hopefully, they're done with the ricy customization 🤬 for good. There are other racing games that did a much better job at customization (a.k.a. no spinners, sound systems, big rims and other stupid crap) and capturing city street racing than Underground, like the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series for example. Tired of hearing people beg for an Underground 3.

well your probalby looking at the wrong game i rather enjoy putting some of that stuff on the car and making it tastefull if you dont want that type of customization you should try need for speed shift 2 it actually is very fun check the forum dedicated to that to see the good and bad

Man, EA are being really quick on making videogames. Hot Pursuit, then Shift 2, then this. @_@

"EA" isn't developing it, they have several teams working on different NfS games. Criterion, Black Box, Slightly Mad Studios...

Yeah, I have no problem with making a car look stylish and tasteful. I just hated Underground because it rewards making your car look as ricy as possible.

I'll admit, that brainwashed me for a while. Why would I need a roof scoop for a Front engine car?

lol Me too. Really glad I realized there's more to cars than adding fake mods to them.

Fair enough with the ricer-ness, but quite frankly both Underground NFSs were decent fun.

EDIT:

Just watched the trailer, looks good. Perhaps the NFS series has returned to a state where not all their games are horrible? NFSHP3 was a good two steps forward one step backward (The step backward being the readdition of older *good* NFS play elements), Shift and Shift 2 I hear are not terrible. Let's hope the same is true for TR.

I was really hoping the next one after Shift 2 would be an Underground 3.

Ah well, I'll still buy it, like I always do.

EA's a publisher, people.... not a developer.

I'm glad Criterion did Hot Pursuit.
And I'm upset they aren't doing another, or at least, not offering anywhere near the amount of DLC they did for their own games.
