I hear ya' Larktown. I was talking some guy that also has NFS: Underground preordered and he said that eventually, the giant wings do come into play. I can understand that. If a car is going near 200mph, they damn better have a huge wing, and not the Pep Boy's APC performance series wing, a real track tested wing. Although, I bet these are going to be from companies such as C-West, or Bomex, or something that was never meant for the track but rather for kids with Honda Civic Hatchbacks to put on their roof.

Hopefully a Subaru Impreza WRX STi/Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution wings would be big enough. :)
 
I dont think the game has those two cars you mentioned.

Btw, judging from that screens, the car does not look that good. It is not that bad though, but I will put my money on TXR03 or SB01 for those who dont know (highly unlikely).
 
game isnt half bad.. i might even buy it.. once its 20 bucks of course... but the drag racing part is really pissing me off because once ur @ the end and try to hit the ramp u end up hitting the damn train that will total you right when u stop flipping and land right on the finish line GRRRR
 
imho, i think that the handling of the 350 is totally unlike that of an FR car...i would expect it to handle somewhat like the 300zx...

Also, it seems to be impossible to do other drifting techniques other than pulling the e-brake...grrrrrrrrrrrrr:banghead:
 
i just played a demo of nfsu on ps2. man its ****ing wicked!!!!!! you get two moeds: circuit and drag. i like circuit best, but im not so keen on drag, cos you have to drive with manual gears. i love the dump valve on these cars, sounds just like the real thing. oh and the car you could use in both modes was the older version of the mitsu eclipse. it has a different look in either mode. i tell ya, when this comes out here on the 21st of this month, im definately buyin' it.
 
you can randomly select the body kit it has on it, just after you push X to go through all the things and before you choose it, just press triangle and then keep pushin X through all the little window pop up things and it will change.. but its completely random so if you get the same car again, dont worry..just keep doin it. I've only been able to get about 7 different kits for it though

I used Dazzle DVC80* and windows movie maker.. dazzle cost like around $70 at circuit city\best buy, unless the prices have gone down, I dunno mines a couple years old. but you just plug it into the usb port and then it has the yellow, white, and red with s video input and you hook up your ps2 tv piece and do the rest in windows movie maker.

NFSU :- overall good. drag scene looks real and you need to shift gear at right time, i.e. when you see green light on center top.

It would be boring if you just running straight right guys? that's why there's a train suddenly came up from the right side, so this one i think you need to be in first place and keep to your left to avoid in contact with it. This reminds me on Fast and the Furious when Vin Diesel's muscle car and supra is running wild on the straights.

But the NOS, is a little wierd. I dont know how does it feels but if compared with MC2, i think MC2 has better effect on the NOS. What you guys think?
 
VG30DETT, C-West and Bomex are track tested body kits. They are two of the biggest tuning companys in Japan, and they are very functional for racing.;)
 
Are they functional for Civics on the street with a muffler?

I know most kids wouldn't have those ones, but that was just my point. But I will admit to some neglagence, those were the only two that came to mind, and I had no idea they were good kits.
 
Well I don't know if I can talk about it... But I downloaded it. Full DVD, I'm going to buy it anyway because it's a great game...
 
I've played NFS:Underground demo. The graphics aren't that nice. The drag racing part is quite fun, but that's about it. The cars handle like ****! The driveability is just garbage! And about the modding, sure you can tweak your car like a madman, but in the end the gameplay is so ****ty it doesn't matter...

Just my 2 cents...

The full game is a far different game than the demo. I was not impressed by anything in the demo and gave me second thoughts about buying it. Buying its not even close to what the demo was. Everything is better. But an honest review of a demo.
 
This games better than 98.3% of the racing games out for PS2 right now so hush about all this ricer blah blah, are the le_mans cars ricers too?
 
Its not better than GT games but its still an awesome game. I've yet to get the game for myself but I did get a chance to play the demo of it for PS2 this past saturday at my local Kmart. The graphics are beautiful and the racing is fast.
 
Yea i got it today, its really good. Of course it isn't better than GT, but this is what i will be playing until GT4 comes out. I recommend it! 👍
