Need help on how to install patch.

[aznboi2000]

I DLed the patch to my USB stick and I have no idea how to put it on my PS3. I plugged it in and explored it but no luck.

It has to downloaded directly from the PS3 to be able to install. Sorry Mate

Is there no external source of downloading patches other than pS3

No there isn't (unless you hacked your ps3 in which case we may not help). That way you can only download patches approved by Sony. It'll be to easy if you could've installed any patch you can find (since new patches fix a lot of bug which may be exploited in order to cheat - i.e. call of duty)
