I built my own for about $100 or so. I sheet of plywood, 3 pine 2x4s, a small piece of 1x8 Maple that I already had on hand. A car seat from the junk yard, a bit of carpet, padding and 4 casters commonly used for bed frames.
I took careful measurements of my real car when in my normal driving position then set the seat half way on the track adjustment and laid out the design so that in the mid point of the track I would be the same distance from the wheel and pedals, managed to duplicate the angle of the pedals and wheel as well has height of the seat from the floor. built a little console type thing off to the right that has a padded arm rest covered with some scrap vinyl I had on hand and placed the gated shifter within.
The piece of maple I used to mount the wheel on and made it wide enough that I could set something on either side of the wheel like my coffee cup on one side and an ash tray on the other. Originally designed it to hold a TurboS wheel which I think is the same layout is the GT3 then changed it to an elite wheel and club sport pedals.
Over all it turned out pretty well, feels a lot like setting in my Mustang and the casters allow me to move it easily if I need to.
