network down

This thread reminded me of threads started every Tuesday morning on the World of Warcraft forums. There was maintenance every week, or at least a server reset, and people came out of the woodwork. A game as addicting as WoW really made for a bunch of raging every time the users couldn't get their Blood Elf fix...way worse than what I've seen here.
 
Well, my PS3 finally let me sign in, and now it's getting a new system update installed, so we shall see...

PD are full of it. Currently showing as news item (only just been posted) when you sign in and enter game "GT5 online interruption" we are currently experiencing an interruption to online services bs bs bs bs.

They aren't!! I am able to still do the seasonals, receive and send messages through PSN, buy in the OCD, everything else OTHER than see what cars my friends have on share or send and receive trade items. To me a service interruption means EVERYTHING is down. This is VERY selective. And they are not being honest about what is going on.

I aggree. I am now able to sign into PSN now but can't access GT5 online features. PSN maintence seems to be over as I am able to access all features related to PSN, but now can't access functions as related to the game itself. It seems to be a GT5/PD issue now.

psn has been updated,now Pd is updating there servers to match the new psn changes, nothing new here, once they get everything aligned, all will be good to go.

maybe this is spec 3.0

maybe not :(
 
I still don't get this... I have NO issues whatsoever. NONE. I can do everything I normally do in GT5 without a problem.

Maybe they finally took pity on me for having DSL...

where in PA? i am in PA, i have DSL, and its very fast.

I know, not to me....but my update is that I can now sign in and accept FRs from the XMB menu, the game loads just fine (though things seem to move along a tad slow, maybe at this point it's just paranoia), the OCD is up and useable, dangit, forgot to check seasonal availability lol, but when I choose an item and select the gift function, the two folks that had an FR awaiting me, while perfectly normal looking (neither was online any longer, so couldn't send a verification message) did not show up on the in-game friend list of eligible recievers....and yeah, I too saw the out of service notice on the news list

I hope you are right on this as I think there is more to it than that and also starting to get the feeling that the way we share/gift/trade on GT5 is about to change again.

and all that i still want it... all cars in game unlocked!!!!
 
Oddly enough, I just logged into XBox Live and some parts of their services are down too. Maybe an internet holocost,:lol:

is it more annoying ,less annoying, or no different to you when xbox goes down versus psn?

just curious since you have both
 
Well I'm back from an online endurance race and it seems that everything seems to be fine now.

I'd have to say no different. Whats annoying tho is when they are both down. :lol:

The chances of Xbox Live and Playstation Network being down at the same time simultaneously are very, very slim. And Xbox Live tends to go down far less often than PSN because people are paying to use it and Microsoft would have to give compensation to everyone if they kept it down for more than a few days.

Well, like I said, its down now. Thats why I posted what I did. Went to log into Live and got a message saying that parts of its services are down.

Do people not read previous posts in threads before posting?
 
Hello....gifting seems to be up and running just fine now.

If you had anything in the Inbox prior to the mess. Send something to that account from another account and it will trigger it loose. One of my account had hit max on the 16th, but I could not log into it since the 15th. Logged into it this am and so an empty gift box. With a few test I sent another Museum card and relogged into it. Max 50 sitting in the box.
 
I got a ticket from tbwhhs. Shows it was sent yesterday 11:11AM prior to the no more sending of items issues. Sent mixed things to other accounts and they all show up.
 
Finally got to send my ticket as well.

No, if you read what he wrote he was hoping to have all cars unlocked so actually what you are stating would be reversed as money in the game is a joke now. The need to dupe would no longer be there. I was simply stating if that is what he wanted then good for him.
