I set my challenge to Gold all the events with one car running 430 PP on sports hard tires. I utilized the adjustable racing transmission to adjust the top end based on tracks. I lightly over tuned the cars and then set them to 430 PP. So far of the 8 or so cars I've tried the Peugot 207 GTI '07 is by far the best and I was successful in winning all the races with it.

Using the mk1 golf but it needs a fair bit of modding to become competitive. Had to take HP up to about 170+, and it lights its front tyres up as much as the 1.3 mini on standard suspension settings. It's a hard car to hussle properly as it drops out the power band changing from 2nd to 3rd as well.

I tried a 87 Esprit on CS tyres but it's just not quite enough but certainly fun to drive, though exactly a hot hatch.

Strip out all the weight, add ECU, fat exhaust, FC suspension and diff. Use the 6-Speed Close Ratio box for the short tracks and the stock transmission for Fuji.

I think this is one of the most fun seasonal events for a long while, i'm not including the stupid time/drift trials or the b-spec rubbish in that. It does worries me what will happen when they run out of GT4 events to recycle however....

I just ran this with my m3 and tts.. boy, was it fun..

second thing, I tried it with the alfa brera with close to 380 bhp with comfort soft.. it sucked...

the audi did it with less than 100 bhp than the alfa but it had racing softs on..

is just crazy how an different tire can change the handling of the car..

It's all about the Jensen Interceptor MkIII. Inside wheel spins up out of every corner and only a 3 speed gearbox but god it's funny. Makes me wanna grow a mustache and become a karate expert!

Ruf 3400S, race softs, no other upgrades needed. Wins EASILY.

You don't want a win easily. There's no challenge. I used my BMW 2002 with 170hp and race slicks at Fuji. It was a good challenge but I needed one more lap. Lost to a supercharged Mini by .9 secs. .

Seems like time for me to start up my Renault Clio (the Premium mid-engined one) and go for a drive. Payout may not be crazy even at 200%, but at least it's another opportunity to go race hard. Only... in a in a European hatchback within the PP limits.

I just hope this one doesn't have any deceptively hard/unfair races to win.

pretty much any of the exotics that you can detune to 470pp...most of the Ferraris, a few Lambo's, Lotus
any of them will let you pass the field in two laps or less

AAA Game like GT5 should have a great career mode, saying play online is a total cop-out
, and from my exp the online is a total mess of rammers, poorly implemented penalties, disconnections etc etc anyway.

Did the first 3 in the 49 Beatle (fully tuned). London and Autumn were easy but Fuji was a pain. I had to switch to race soft tires and that didn't help much because it's a horsepower track. Took me 4 tries to finally nip that 120i.

I blew away everyone with my Renault Clio V6. I did six races in my initial run, just so I equally could get three helmets and three suits. I had to remember that the PP limit was 470. I initially dropped down my car's Engine Power to meet 450. Still, the Clio V6 is my favorite Hot Hatch, so it was pretty much a cakewalk with my RenaultSport Clio V6.

To prevent any unnecessary debate, I edited my previous post. You sometimes know when something you say leads to some sort of debate or disagreement. Still, the Clio V6 is a fabulous car to use in this series or in certain other series.

For me the best car was Audi S3 '02 with only oil change on sport hard tires (412PP). Its fun to drive with all aids off and ABS set to 0. Win all races approximately at third/forth try. Now i will try something FF, any suggestions? I mean stock cars. My Clio V6 have 439PP.

They ought to set the winning standard a little higher for the 'designer' tracks then allow you to permanently download the track when you gold it, as a nice little bonus.

This. There were a few times now when I wished I could have taken other cars to those tracks.

I did the race in sports medium and I only won by 2 seconds and my car was at 470 PP. Take that information and the axl guy will see that sometimes making your car more at a equal footing to the AI makes it much more enjoyable.

Alternatively, if you want to drive a faster car (been having fun in my premium Mini with all upgrades but turbo, to stay under 470PP at 100% engine power), you can do this: When the race starts, hit the brakes, stop, wait a minute, Go! It's good fun catching up to them all, and get the majority of traffic on the last lap.
