It's some other car. Just called the "M1". I can't view the pics again so I don't have any more info.

That was a thing of beauty.

So BMW are screwing with their names again now? What with the 330 being a 3 litre 3 series, but the 318 being a 2 litre, and the M3 being an M-treated 3 series but the M1 being the old "Midship, Attempt 1"...

This seems more like the Original M1. Not a supercar, but a car to run with other sports cars.

Looks like this will be against the cars just below the M6.
DB9 Convertible, possibly F430, etc.

This is the best supercar you'll get off of BMW.

It does look a bit like the Carrera GT, but the Carrera GT is just a bit too much, and I don't like the back, it has a flat back wih a spoiler, strange.

I like it, but to be honest, they would be better off not producing it and focusing on improving what they can on their current line. Supercars are nice, but they're not exactly cash cows when you make only 100 of a certain car per year.

Damn... wow.

If BMW doesn't build it, I hope someone does. And I hope they DON'T put the corporate nose on it... I'd rather it not look like an M6 wrapped around the Carrera. They should take more cues from the old M1. A bespoke body with just a nod to BMW styling, with the tiny double kidney grille up front.
