You're insane. People on dial up can't view those pictures, and people with firefox also can't view them unless they have a movie theater sized resolution. meh.

GT's pics get the job done. those super hi resolution are nothing but overkill, and the fact that they're blurry completely defies the purpose in taking them in the first place.

People on dial-up obiously can't pay the extra 3 pounds a month for a 10mbps a month. Well that's what it is extra here in the U.K.

Thanks for taking a unecessary dig at my pictures 👎

It's not unnesessary. The pictures are blurry, and it is useless for them to be that big.

This is the new Z car because BMW said so, it is codenamed 'Large Roadster', and will replace the Z8, but there was a Z9 concept, so this will have to be called the Z10.

ah the z9, pretty much everything after that borrowed heavily from the z9, just see for yourself:

if those "z10" pics are anything to go by thats possibly the shape of things to come

PS
Ever think that because it just suddenly popped up out of nowhere they've been planning it and designing long ago? BMW is notoriously secretive about their designs, only releasing much of them at the last minute. The Lexus supercar is probably just over-publicised and thus more people think it came out before/was designed earlier.

It's already pretty much been confirmed this picture is a PhotoShop. It can't be an actual rendering from BMW themselves. And based on the fact that the car looks nothing like any other modern BMW from the front wheels back(except for the EXACT replica of an M5 rear valance), it appears that it could not even be based on "leaked information". I'd say that design, or anything resembling it, has a 0% chance of making it to production. Sorry to all the people who like that design, but when and if this car comes out, it will not look anything like that.

Hell yes..bad ass Gallardo photoshop.
Woo..

Whoever thought this was real, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

It would be nice to bring this car out, so BMW would have some sort of CGT competitor, but it would never happen because Chris bangel doesn't know how to design a car. He'd end up making it look like some Z car crossed with a Rx8.....

But wasn't the Z9 and 2 other concepts just to show the designs planned for the future, AKA now?

Everyone knew it was a photoshop, it said so in the article.

If it doesn't look like current BMW's, thank god.

Current BMW's suck spheres, I mean, look at the 7 series.

In your opinion. though.

I think they look great.

Exactly, Americans do, because didn't like the boxy old BMW's, which showed of German engineering. Now, current BMW's loand more like American styles and build for the European market.

I'm American...
I can't stand the new bimmers.
They used to look professional, and masculine with their straight edges.
A car a female would only drive if she KNEW what it was.
Now adays it looks like, "just some car"
They look like your average college kids car now. And those tail lights....ewww..

I never said they actually built the thing.

at first i was quite shocked by the new design direction. wasnt sure what to think of it for a long time. eventually it grew on me, all except for the reverse lights on the new 3. the designs are fresh and intriguing. like it or not chris bangle is the most inffluential car designer this century. oh yeah, applying at art center for their trans design program this fall term wish me luck. :)

There you go again with the "Americans do this" crap.
Quit assuming Americans are all the same.
D*mmit, its like what Duke had said before.

And I happen like the boxy old BMWs.

No need for the giant return key frenzy 👎

Well, they are designed and built in America, by American people, so obiously, they want it to appeal to American market. Whereas, they used to just make a German car with big German boxiness, and wouldn't care who bought them, as long as they sold.

On paper or the pc screen bimmas dont look too good. But in person theyre a masterpiece. The new 5 series is magical although the new 3 series is nothing special and neither is the 1. However when the coupe version of the 3 series comes out it will be magical.

To say that bmw'S now look like any other american designed car is complete crap. They now have a intimidating classy look to them.

Americans like to rubbish all the good european cars and every one else rubbishes all american cars.

Yeah, I know when I see this.

Intimidation and class are the FIRST things through my mind. Not, why does this bimmer look like some japanese car.

I saw one of these today and I liked it ( as much as you can like a bimmer  ) I guess because it was spared enough from being bangled. :dopey:

That's a nice new word there. Bangled... That will see alot of use in the future.

Yeah your right it sure does look like a honda accord and a lexus is200. No good quality build anywhere to be seen on that car. Never mind the crappy interior and the crap chassis. Hell its nearly as bad as a american car.

crap chassis

where did you get that info from , did yo drive it yor self , alot of people I know drove itit has all the BMW charcterstics like it should.

Only the Z4 and X5 are bulit in the US , the 3 , 1 ,5 , 6 ,7 series are in germany the X3 is bulit in Austria , and Chris Bangle actually just did the desgin he didn't make the design of the chassis , or the engine , or the elctronic ,just the desgin.

I appologize for being one of the minority that thinks a cars exterior is as important as it's other qualities.
I mean, as much as I'd love to drive around a 800HP pile of dog crap...I wouldn't be able to get past it's....Dog crap exterior.

But wait, the interior isn't that immaculate either. It looks like the inside of a Luxury minivan.

But it's got....nice...uhh...headlights?

I don´t like the new 7, and 3 series.

The 5 series is ok. The rear lights look like the one from the current Subaru Impreza 👍

The best looking 3 series were the E46 in my opinion, especially the M3.

The new M3 will probably get an V8...

Why does everyone "kill" the straight six engines in the high performance sector??
(the next Skyline will not have a straight six... ):grumpy:
The Sound of the current M3 is so beautiful...

most cars have four wheels, four doors, five seats, saloon shape, headlights, rear lights, wing mirrors, some kind of grille at the front and some exhaust pipes at the back. add to this todays safety regulations, fuel efficiency (low drag) and you end up with saloons looking similar. its really no surprise that the 3 series does not stand out like a flashy sportscar, its not supposed to do.

the 7 series stood out, as did the 5 and the z4 and everyone complained about it. now the 3 is a little bit more conservative and now people complain about that...

i think it looks good and i don't expect more. the 6 series looks gorgeous and that is supposed to do.

Driftster
because i6's are too cool for the population

because people want more power...

We'll all just have to have TVRs. They don't exactly struggle to get the power out of a straight 6.

I was being sarcastic. The 3 series is the joint best small executive saloon with the audi A4 and no other cars in its class comes close.

I was being sarcastic guys. I was kinda dissapointed with the new 3 series and I think most people were aswell and thats why its tacking so much ribbing. As for the 6 series I think its ugly but I love all other BMWs except for the 1 aswell. Theyre okay but not excellent.

I have some pics of a 6 series cabriolet on my fone if anyone wants to see it i will upload it. Perosonally I would take a M5 over a M6.

True, they just struggle to keep them in one piece off the lot. :sly:

I like the Old "boxy" BMW's, I like the Shark nose cars, I have an 88 535i and love it's odd looks, and frankly I think the new 3 and 5 are great looking cars.

Still don't see how they look Japanese...

Unless you are referring to how the Japanese manufacturers have been trying to out BMW, BMW's, and so they are heading the same direction styling wise.

Oh, the M1, awesome in theory, would love to see it hit the roads at about 3000 Lbs, 550 Hp...

Probably never happen.

I've always thought BMWs always did look like 'just some car' with exception to the old 6 series which is pretty unique. Still maybe that because I'm from the UK where 3 series BMWs are about as popular as Ford Mondeos and Vauxhall Vectras these days. I'd prefer a Merc over a BMW any day, aslong as it had a good manual gearbox that is...

The new Bangled BMWs remind me of Korean cars etc... I.e. numb looking ugly plastic-thats-melted looking blobs...
