New Details about GTA:SA!

Why I am getting calls from friends telling me that GtA:SA is being released on the 22nd in UK. Has the date been changed or are these people playing with my emotions?
 
Well, the original dates were first set as follows:

North America -- October 19.
Europe -- October 22.
Australia/NZ -- October 28.

Now, Rockstar realised that they wouldn't have it finished by then with all of the approvals, etc. Either that or it wouldn't be long done. They needed a bit of prep. time, so they set the dates back. The current dates are as follows:

North America -- October 26.
Europe -- October 29.
Australia -- October 29.
 
TWO PLAYER CO-OP POSSIBLE?
spong.com visited R* yesterday, and are hinting at the possibility of a co-op mode.

In one single player mission, CJ will do a mission where he saves a girl from a burning building. This girl will become CJ's girlfriend, and she will become a playable character. Co-op activities in SA include 2 player drivebys, co-op only missions (indicated by an icon on the map), and various mini-games!

it IS 12 days.....I'm a dork....lol I was looking at the UK release date.... :dopey:

But anyway, I wouldn't really want co-op or anything. I want GTA to stay true to its roots, as a bad-ass single player experience. As with all two player games, doesn't the framerate slow or graphics get crappier when there's an extra person playing? But then again that's just MO.

I never really payed attention to the hookers, they didn't give that much extra health. And plus the animation of a shaking car wasn't that arousing ;) j/k :lol:

I still think it's unlikely for most of you to get it on the 25th.

That Co-op mode information looks a bit dodgy to me. It looks like it could be possible, but it's weird how they found all of this out and that they won't go into any specifics. A 2nd playable character? A woman doing drive-bys with CJ? Saves a girl from a burning building? Hmm.

Rockstar's Webmaster just emailed us to say that Gamespot and IGN will both be posting new screenshots this evening. We're not told how many, so just keep your eyes on these two sites!

Update: Rockstar just confirmed to us that each site will post one image.

Two player doesn't really bother me to be honest. I would rather they left it out and made sure every other aspect of the game was up to scratch. I expect quality, not quantity.
 
No doubt, but I just hope that if they are implementing co-op then its done properly. Knowing Rockstar, I'm sure it will be excellent.

You'll be getting both with San Andreas.

I'm still a little 'iffy' about this Co-operative mode. It looks a little fake to me, and the source, Spong.com won't even tell us how they found out. I'd be waiting for something with a little more substance and credibility before believing this rumour.
 
Guys, keep in mind nothing was confirmed by spong. They were just purely speculating.

I agree!. Its probably some ****ty! site that heard the original rumour, and are trying to expand on it themselves. I guess only time will tell, I hope they don't implement any kind of multiplayer i think it should stay single player.

That Dune Buggy is nice, but a bit futuristic for the 90s. Although I spose it's definately possible. The Gambling looks great. I'm gonna spend a fair bit of time (and money) there.

Anyone else notice that rock in front of the dune buggy looks like a male organ? I belive this is one of rockstars jokes.. ;D

I don't believe it, but if it is done it really doesn't bother me.

I got an email from GPstore and it sounds like the release date is not going to change, not that Jimmy or I thought that rumour had any substance:

StevieMo, some people are getting the game delivered, and because the stores are getting the games late night on October 25th, they seem to think they will receive them straight away. You have to give way for postage time and the fact that the Postman don't come at night. Also, some stores may stock them on their shelves, but I seriously doubt they will start shelving them when the store is open at night. Too risky for theft purposes.

You will get them on October 26th.

I dunno, those tube frame, multi suspension things have been around for quite a while!. The early 90s was'nt that long ago. If i remember rightly i think this game is set around 91 ish?. So if that is correct im sure those kind of vehicles would have existed.:indiff:

Yeah, that's one of the things they haven't elaborated on. The actual year...

Also, I agree, that's definately possible to have those sorts of things back then. But from that angle it looks quite futuristic, although I looked a little more carefully, pictured a view of it normally, and it should be fine.

Yeah, definately. It's just the angle of the screenshot. I looked at it more in depth. It's perfectly fine. I wanna drive it. :lol:

Yeah, but I'm downloading, and even when I'm not downloading it takes ages to get into the Edit Post and Go Advanced pages, so I really couldn't be bothered.
 
Finally downloaded the 25mb "video". I can't see the video, and it doesn't go for very long. Sounds exactly the same as the Official Trailer. All that time and all I get is a lousy sound file.

I will personally hunt down and kill the person who made this. :mad:
 
Everyone is on about the dune buggy, an I don't know if you guys have seen on before in screen shots, but we have a twin prop plane! It should be alot more manouverable than the dodo/seaplane, and a fair bit faster.
The dune buggy looks like the BF injection, but with much smaller wheels.
