New Details about GTA:SA!

I know this is off topic but my R.E teacher was playing the GTA:VC soundtrack in class today :o! Kinda weird as this guy is fairly religious.
I doubt they will include animals. If they do they might have to make them ghost like. Wouldn't be right if people were allowed to mame them or run them over.
On a furtehr not again, when we are driving on the desert highways do you think your view will be limited by the cars headlamps, as there should be no street lights.
 
Local wildlife is in, it's been mentioned in a few previews.
 
Oh man, I'd love to drive on those long two lane desert roads, take the fastest car and gun it! Wildlife...yeah I don't think we should be able to hit em, so many animal protection groups would sue until all hell broke loose.

Another off topic thingie,THANK YOU LORD there's gonna be Mount Chiliad, Imma be runnin up and DOWN that thing in all sorts of cars...... :trouble:
 
Man, I'm gonna be such a nerd when this game comes out.....I can see it now Grades everywhere will suddenly drop because of GT4 and San andreas..👍
 
yah no kidding, and about the animals, in hitman 2 you can shoot and kill pigs,birds,ect, and i sont think rock* is to worried about what parents think they have always pushed the button in their video games, number three and vice city was on my local new"global television" talking about how sick this game is yada yada yada and my mom didnt like it then she asked to play n she took a bat n beat a homeless guy sensless,and i was talking to my grade 8 french teachers husband whos a cop and weird he kills cops in the game,what im getting at is a lot of these people who compain about it are hipocrits.

Actually R32GTST/M, that info was posted not long ago, I'm sure. All of it, too.

I don't think graves will be much of an issue. It's sadistic yes, but I think that's the point. I don't think that will get many complaints. Things like Cigarrettes might. But I think the only thing that will grab any parents' attention will be if they include animals.

Also, I might be wrong here, but I think those images you linked us to (donbenni) might have also been posted. Might not have been though. Can't be bothered checking! :lol:

Yeah alot of it was, but some of what i posted was just in more detail.

Plus i think people mite be abit angry about the smoking and drinking in the streets.

YEah, it's just more detail, and really, the only negative effect from this game on anyone who plays it will be grades :lol:
 
Oh god is my last year of schooling and most important year going to suffer...:lol:

New info:

- There are now underwater missions
- When using a powerful weapon close-up it will remove the body part completely
- If you ever get lost, you will receive a phone call on your Cell Phone to put you back on track.
- There could be kids in the game, it also has ‘make a quick getaway on some kids bike’ and ‘There is so much going on. Cars, bikes, citizens, gangs, kids’. Then remember there is an amusement park.
- There is a mention of CJ being able to surf, but it’s not confirmed
- You can do certain stealth kills with melee weapons, each weapon having a different animation. E.g. with a knife you impale the blade into their necks.
- CJ actually has his own crib in Orange Grove
- Peds can sleep and also you can do stealth kills while they are sleeping too
- You can visit shops, markets and drug related businesses in Hashury
- You can play basketball by yourself or take on other people
- There are pubs in the country towns
- Angel Pine is the size of 2 Vice City Blocks
- There is a motel up on Mount Chiliad
- You can also add artistic designs on your car at TransFender
- You can now power slide with the handbrake, and not so stiff and quick like previous GTA’s.
- Not only does your cars structure get damaged, but modifications made on your get bent and wrecked too.
- You can fly 3x higher then in VC
- Gambling is a stat and is increased based on your maximum bets
- You can only play at some tables if you are a high roller
- Recruiting gang members depends on your respect level

How Turf Owning Works:
To take over turf you go to enemy territory and start taking out the rival gang. After you survive a couple waves of attacking, the turf now belongs to OGF, and as such they will start spawning on the street. Every now and then someone from a rival gang will try to take the turf back...So you got to scrap together a posse and defend it.

Haven't heard much about 'ragdoll' physics recentley. It was mentioned, then people said it was removed, but others still say it's in. The second point reminded me about it. Anyone know for sure whatsup with 'ragdoll' physics?

The Transfender thing is pretty interesting. After spending a shed-load of money on your ride, you're not gonna want to trash it or swap it for another car. So maybe for the first time in a GTA game you will spend quite a bit of time in just one car. Obviously we'll still be hooligans and take other cars just for giggles, but i kinda get the feeling we may own one car for most of the game if we want to.

Same here. I'm glad I know. It'll be hard work, so playing this game won't be so easy all the time. Wonder if you have to defend Orange Grove (CJ's turf) ?
 
I'm ready for them to make a GTA: BUM****. That'd be sweet. Driving old beater GMC trucks, and Ford tractors, and pimpin` a flock of sheep. Sweet, yo.

You can always tell R* teaser sites as the status bar of your Internet Explorer will say "loading from rockstargames.com" or something along those lines. This site says muse-media.co.uk.

It's a crap site anyway. The inuendo under the club section is just dumb.

Hmmm strange???. Im not doubting your info, it just seems wierd to me why a "VCN " chopper would be in Los Santos. But then again were is it said in Vice City that "VCN" means Vice City News, VCN could be a CNN take off.

But hey what do i know, cheers for another info boost dude!, good find.

But do you remember how on the PS2 version of Vice City, that Fire Station in the Airport said LCFD/FDLC (Can't remember which) ?? Well, they could have just brought this in and not skinned it, or maybe they just haven't skinned it yet. Remember, San Andreas still isn't finished yet. They were just recently considering where to put a cuople of things, so San Andreas won't be finished for another few weeks, or even a month. I'm guessnig that's what the delay is about.

It seems strange to me that the VCN news chopper would be in SA but I dunno. I hope the news choppeer will follow you in pursuits as well as the police chopper, it would also give a etter excuse for media attention.

It was probably coincidence I know, but I wasn't having a go at you. Sorry if it seemed like a personal attack, but that's why I put the ":lol:" there.

In the latest Lad's Mag there is a Interview with Danny Dyer, who played a prominent role in Vice City as the cocky Kent Paul.

Here is what he said :

'I'm doing the next Grand theft Auto game, I was in the last one, Vice City and they've kept my character Kent Paul in for the next one. I’m the limey in it. I ****ing loved doing it and its all Top Secret.'
 
I wish the cars had way more durability. With all the upgrades and such, a car should last longer, I mean what if you blow a bunch of money on a car and it just rolls over because you try to avoid some poor soul. :grumpy:

money should be easy to get, so if your modified car gets blown up, so what, you could another one and you probably have 10 other modified cars in your garages

Update from GTAGaming concerning the GTA:SA delay, PS2 to blame?

"When Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) hold their 'strategy conference' next Tuesday, in Tokyo, the look on the media's faces will be that of "I told you so". Rumours have been flying around the UK gaming media, including respectable trade only publications like MCV and EDGE, that a slimmed down version of the Playstation 2, similar to the PSone, is in development. Bloomberg have already announced that Ken Kutaragi has been earmarked for the conference, suggesting a major announcement from SCE. Held just days before the 2004 Tokyo Game Show, it seems to be the ideal launch pad for a new console.

Claims have been made that the development of the revamped machine is further along than many would think, and that it is on course for a Fall 2004 release. With this being the case, could San Andreas' delay be due to pressure from Sony? The Japanese giant knows the huge potential of the Grand Theft Auto series, and understands that it alone can make gamers part with their cash in exchange for new consoles. Many will dismiss this with "Vice City suffered the same delay", but this too can be discounted by looking into Rockstar's current campaigns for the game's promotion. Several magazines across the United States and continental Europe have already printed advertisements for the game, with the original release dates. (19/22 October respectively). Clearly this 'push' from Sony will have come in the past two weeks, considering Rockstar's initial confidence of meeting the deadline.

Several online sources have also suggested that with November being a crucial month for console competition (Halo 2 and GTA: San Andreas both launched within two weeks of each other), Sony are eager to crash Microsoft's party. With only one of their 'killer-apps' available to launch at the same time as the console, Sony's contractural agreement with Rockstar may have been stretched to allow both to launch simultaneously.

While there's no official word on this, all will be revealed this Tuesday, when journalists will scrutinize Kuturagi's every word."

I hope it won't get delayed more than two weeks if it does get delayed. Last I heard it got delayed a week. We'll see what happens these coming weeks.
 
That being said if Sony wants to co-release ( is that a word?) San Andreas with a new console to outdue Microsofts Halo 2 launch, why dont they do it with Killzone!. It would seem like a more appropriate title, the launch dates may not co-inside but San andreas will easily match Halo 2 sales anyway, then they've got Killzone in reserve and a new console.
So they could do a package thing like a PS2 GTA3 pack.
Eh what do i know??
 
Also i don't know if anyone has seen this but in the latest issue of Australian OPSM2 theres a small article on San Andreas and it says in a small part of the article that "JETS" are available this isnt confirmed in an screenshots but if its true that'll be amazing.

Yeah jets have been bantered around for a while now. I can't say i'm really bothered to be honest. I didn't really use the planes/choppers much in either 3 or VC. I think bmxs and other new ground vehicles are much more entertaining :D
 
I hope they're very fast, because with San Andreas being the size it is we need a quick convenient way of transport.
 
I would literaly crap my pants if a jet fighter was in the game! Making strafing runs along downtown Los Santos would be too much fun for me! :trouble:
