New Details about GTA:SA!

i just saw a couple of movies @ ign.com and there's one with a huge jump!!
im getting very exited.. blergh! a little more waiting.. :) im playing now Vice city, during the play im wondering how Gta Sa is :) hehe,
its gonna rock!
 
Jimmy: I posted all that gun info, if slightly differently on page 67. Never hurts to see it again. Clearly no one noticed it the first time around!
 
Theres one small thing that bugs me a bit, not a lot but, I've noticed they have the same car sounds as GTA 3, and vice city, not that big of a problem, but just something I've noticed.
 
Is there anything wrong with them?
Watching the unique jump video I noticed they are using the same audio for the sanchez. I never liked teh soudn of it, but I don't think you could change it.
 
Gotta wait till fricking Friday... Not coming info searching about the game after Tuesday. Want more of a surprise on Fri. Damn yankies with your music...
 
Our local Best Buy isn't releasing SA untill Wednesday, but I can't get it anyways. I'm low on money so I can't buy it and once I do get the money my mom has already bought it and secretly placed it somewhere for xmas. Meaning I will have to wait for 2 phreaking months for that game!:mad:
 
Mine should be coming on saturday,which gives me about 40hours of gaming before school again on monday. ok that isnt a new detail about gta and im sorry, but i felt compelled to post sumthing having been reading this thread for weeks.

Ouch. You're not the first person who has fallen victim to such a circumstance. But look at it this way. When VC came out in 2002, I had to wait around 6-7 months for it to come out for PC since I didn't have a PS2 back then! Now that was a bad waiting period!
 
Yikes! I'll probably rent it before xmas and play the hell out of it mostly going around all the cities looking. See the problem is I'll have to go through the vigorious choice of either playing GT4 or GTA:SA.:( I don't want to make people think GT4 or GTA:SA are not worthy.

Either racing endless laps at Nurburgring with a '05 M5 or crusing all over SA checking the sites? So hard.
 
i went to the site with the 2 player leak, and theres certain places where you can go one where you can drive around causing chaos on the streets of san andreas, and one where you can play pool, gta_thief@yahoo says that he believes they are hidden 2 player options all throughout the game.
 
My local EB Games says they will start selling it Monday at 7 AM for pre-orders and non-preorder people may have a chance at getting it. I didn't pre-order it, but hopefully if I get there early enough (small town, shouldn't have a problem with crowds @ 6:30 AM on a Monday :D ) they will sell me a copy anyway. If not, then I'll have to go after school or on Tuesday morning :(

They're letting you get the game at monday morning??? Thats lucky, the store I pre ordered it at said the earliest they'll sell SA would be 12 am tuesday morning. :grumpy:

My parents 'hid' (I knew where it was) the PS2 they'd bought 6 weeks befere Xmas. So I had a PS2 sitting in my parents room boxed and all for 6 LONG weeks!

Now that I think about it perhaps my don't won't let me cancle the amazon order because he is keeping the game for Xmas. If he dares!

haha only one for us here in canada, I started playing gta vice city all over again and got a theory, since they link all the games together, I am starting to think cj's mother is "auntie poulet", i think she meved from vice city to san andreas start a new life ,and changed there last name to johnson, but then her kids got involved in gangs.
 
I still don't get why cars automatically catch fire when they're upside down, its not cool at all.

No they're selling it at 12 am tuesday morning, at the store I'm getting it at.
 
The only thing I can see that could be a problem is the map being too big. Watching videos gives me the impression that some of the map is a bit empty with plain land rather than like VC cram-packed with buildings and such.
 
I like that though, it adds more of the state feeling, rather than the city feeling of the other games.

Good question...I don't get that either. :dunce:

In real life you would most likely die or be injured seriously if you rolled a car without a rollcage, so I guess maybe the fire thing makes up for that?

Also when I was watching a video of some guy flying a Dodo around LV (I think) the draw distance wasn't too good either, I really hope this isn't the case.
 
I guess it's logical to make the cars detonate after they have been upside down for 5 seconds.I think the game would slow down if many cars would be left upside down on the streets instead of getting rid of them.It's a better solution and i think neccesary in order to let the game run at 30+ fps.
