Although i like finding a good lobby with good clean racers, and the contact can sometimes be unavoidable in a flat out race for the win, or some good fun "rubbing is racing", the 'disable collisions' option could be a great addition for preventing players punting you off track. I'm surprised it wasn't an option a long time ago though.

Yeah, like on release. I really wish they had, sometimes lag can be an issue as well as inexperience. Oh well, at least we'll have it next week. :)

I actually want it like that because buying car packs is a waste of money so by doing this you can choose what cars you buy and you still save money

Car packs??? U mean the lame 4 or 5 cars they release?? where other games release 10+ cars at a time plus events for those cars to race in.. The 99c is a ripp off.. Should of just made all 3 cars avaliable for a dollar since 2 of them already have base models in the game..

A better idea would be for PD to stop making lame ass DLC cars like the nissan leaf...

Then you can assume everyone will want ALL of the cars

Exactly and judging by the amount of people who is actually playing the game and have the same feeling about this thing of buying packs with cars that you are not going to use...i think this is good.

Don´t want all cars...buy just one. ;)
 
The details of the patch itself is far more important to GT5 (tire wear, aerodynamics and apparently finally fixing the ride height bug), but at least PD releasing the cars seperately means that they won't force you to get another BreezeFreeze and another GT-R Nuburgring car (this time paying money for them) just to get the one everyone will actually care about.
 
This also means that the game will be patched soon and hopefully they have fixed some bugs like the Motegi prize money / XP bug.
 
I'll be getting the weider HSV and BRZ for sure. Good to see both coming to GT5. :)

Also, good to see that perhaps there will be more realistic drag with high-downforce settings now.

This is all i want.. But did they say the tire wear thing is gonna be online or offline because on the new page it said in endurance races
 
I just wish they would've bothered to include the BRZ and the Honda in the Academy Edition as well. For
one, I was hoping to get all the currently released DLC on DISK;
second, Romania doesn't have a PS Store (and I refuse to tie my purchases to a fake account I don't want to maintain);
third, those extra €2 wouldn't have made a difference in it's price.

Not that I'll be missing out on much, but still I was hoping that I'd be up to date on DLC when my copy arrives, so it's a bit of a let down. Guess I'll just have to rebuy it when they'll release the ultra super special awesome complete edition.

Well, I dont have my gt5 copy, and I won't in a long time :(
and I still have some money in my ps store to buy the car :(

I´ll wait till i hear the sound of the HSV before i buy this one. My guess, it will get the soundsamples from the Zonda R/Lambos with race exhaust or the 787b.

I'm very pleased to see PD selling cars 1 euro each this time, finally you are not forced to buy what you don't want just to get the only one car in the pack you care about.

Would be great if they do this for the other packs as well.

HSV is hot!
 
I'm not pleased at all. I prefer buying a less expensive pack with cars that I might not like right away but that I might eventually drive (and perhaps even like) than having to purchase one car at time at a ridiculous price.

These DLC have the worst value per price so far. There's also only one car that can be considered actually new.

It's basically 1 euro for the 2010 SuperGT champion HSV-010, pretty good deal period.
I'm also not forced to buy another ugly-R and the Sciontoyobaru rebadge.

About time PD! I am absolutely in love with the 86/FR-S/BR-Z trio, so the BR-Z I am getting for sure. I'm debating on whether to buy the GT-R though. I mean it's a great car and all, but I also want to make a statement to PD that charging us $1 for another variant of the GT-R is absolutely ridiculous and just absolutely unnecessary. Kaz needs to break this habit ASAP because sales will suffer for future DLCs or even GT6 if he continues this stupid trend.

The HSV, however, is a definite buy. Sheer epicness all around :sly:
