Yeah i'm quite surprised about that, seems very odd. But it would seem a 2wd GTR is not the best car to drive !! I took it out stock except for racing softs at Motegi road course (practice mode) and on that 1st corner, before you reach the start line it nearly span out, tried recovering it into the right hand kink before the straight and it just understeered into the gravel trap!! And as for the hairpins . . . . . .

Yeah the GTR is not so good to drive, and "they" said the experts spents hours/days specially tuning the car before it's release.......it's rear wheel drive and very heavy....you can tune to over 800hp but can't drop the weight.....best bet is to completely re-tune the suspension to get it to handle half-way decent

I'm not sure which car you guys are referring to, but the DLC n24 is AWD

It may be AWD, but it can drift better than most AWD, I drift it at High Speed Ring online, the car was stock, no changes, just BB and CH tires. It behaves almost like FR, tried to launch it in 1st, long rear tire marks :D

The N24 from the DLC today, i have got 2WD at the rear.

In my garage and on my settings sheet, it says AWD

:dunce:

:indiff: D'OH my bad..

Just had look in garage, mine does say 4WD, but on the LSD, can only alter the rear settings.

It's as stock a 2012 GT-R as the category rules allow so it is 4WD. That does not prevent them from sending all the power to the rear wheels if they want to.

It has the Race Pack you can buy from Nissan and then the compulsory modifications to comply with the Nurburgring 24 hour rules.

This was talked about by Nissan and the commentators at Radio Le Mans during this years 24 hour race.

So they might have allowed the N24 GTR '12 to have 100% rear torque split ? It's not adjustable as well :(

N24 sucks really bad unless you change the suspension and turn the toe and camber to zero all around. It is otherwise a very good car.

That is why i deduce it to be RWD despite it's 4WD header as it only has rear adjustment for the LSD and no option to split the torque. If it is 4WD then it handles like no 4WD before it, it's pants!!!

With all this hate towards the GT-R I'm glad I only bought the Honda and Subaru.

It's a challenge to drive in stock condition, more like FR with lots of grip. I think it's still worth a dollar.

Same here, I think I eventually will get it but I only had enough in my wallet for two cars so the BRZ and HSV ended up in the basket without any consideration.

I bought the N24 simply because I had $4.04 in my psn wallet

I drove it once for about 30 seconds to show it to someone

I can wholly guarantee I will never again touch that car. I haven't even driven the other N24 yet

1700kg, no aero adjusting. Its a pig, its terrible

But it's a great candidate for spec racing with no tuning allowed ;)

I kinda like it, it's just a bit of an hand full...

....even if it is 4WD, it really doesn't behave so......go and do a practice run with it and keep doing stand-still launches and other stunts from stand still and then watch the replay.......from what you see, only the rear wheels are receiving power...
I read through the "description" of the car on the home screen on the game that they put the Gran Turismo software engineers to spend spend a month fine tuning and testing this car....hmmmmmm

Exactly!! I noticed that too but forgot to mention it earlier. It's deafinatly RWD despite their claim! Nasty car! Looking forward to seeing what the tuning wizards do with it because it's a good looking car, great paint job and graphics look cool too.

Why do they charge aussies $1.75 each for the cars ?

Fun fact about the Subaru BRZ. The car has a small BRZ emblem on the right side of the rear when seen in the dealership, garage and photo travel locations. However, this emblem magically disappears when the car is being driven on a track. Now that I did spend money on a car which is all about being different from two cars that we already had in the game, then I actually consider this as an annoying an unacceptable mistake.

Another thing, why does it sound nothing like the GT 86 and FR-S? It's the same engine and I never read that the cars should have different exhausts. Actually, I've read that the cars sound the same in real life. I'm not the one to judge which one of the cars that have the most authentic sound but I'd rather that PD kept things similar where it really would be the right thing to do.

All in all it's nice to have the complete trio in the game but how can they **** up twice for a piece of price tagged DLC?

The GT-R is a pile of ****?
I think (and this is my opinion) that cars like these are what I like to call a "grower" as in the more you drive it the more it "grows" on you.

The first thing that hit me about it was not the handling but the perfomance or more the lack of performance.

Now Im a big believer in this saying - "You can polish a turd all day long, but its always going to be a peice of crap"

But Gt5 defies this logic. Get a standard car with high milage, drive it. ****! right?
Now take some time, restore it in GT Auto by doing engine rebuild, restoring your cars body rigidity and then add some paint, wheels and if you like paint your wheels.

After you have done all that take said car to your favorite track and set a lap time, once happy with your time start tweaking the settings to improve it.
(this is a game in itself)

You know it grinds my gears a little to think that a man of 45 with a vision produced a game that sold around the globe and could retire on a fortune is still working to improve a 2 yr old game whilst working on a future titile and people still say its not good enough.

There are people in the world who could live a number of years in what they would call luxury for the price of a PS3 a copy of GT5 and all of its add ons, just be thankfull that you are one of the luckier ones.

It's a great game in many ways but there are also too many time where I wonder what humanity has done to deserve that the game can be such a joke. I'd say that the people who bought a PS3 for this game are dealing with a misfortune on equal terms with luck or whatever one could call it.

In all due respect if I have misinterpreted your reply please correct me but if you are in implying that people in 1st world countries who have spent a meaningless amount of money on a video game are on equal terms with people in a 3rd world country who only exist to survive then you need an eye opener.

This applies to all of you reading this sat in the comfort of a warm home, a sofa/chair sat reading this on your computer with internet connection etc. who complain that you are hard done by and being ripped off. For everyone of you in this position who dont agree with the outragous price of "DLC" there are people in the world who would do unthinkable things just to be sat in oyur position of having the choice.

Sony need to make money off it somehow, plus the exchange rates etc..

US gets charged .99c and the Aussie dollar is worth more than theirs so no.
I think it's purely because they get away with overcharging us for all software...

0,99 US cents = 6 SEK

But I had to pay 10 SEK..

Don't get me wrong, it's not like it's a huge deal. But the fact that the price is almost twice as much here is kind of strange..

I didn't get the impression that you were making a reference to global hardship. I don't even know why you put things into that perspective now that we are discussing the quality of the DLC.
