All this noise over shifting animations :/ I never even notice them when I play racing games.

I've usually got my eyes on the road.

Yeah good point. Watching a video is one thing, your eyes can look for imperfections, but when playing I'm focused on driving and looking toward the next corner and setting up for the next apex.

It sort of looks like a hanger or warehouse. Perhaps the Top Gear Studio? 💡

Also, how is it that GT5 shows up with arguably its biggest presentation yet and we only have 5 or 6 videos of it? I thought it was a bigger deal?

Good point. Over the past few months, we couldn't get anything more than a Subaru rally car on tokyo or the ferrari 458.....on tokyo....wasn't that at like 3 different game shows?

Yet when we get something entirely new, we have a decent set of videos from gamespot, but really no one else?? Cmon!!

Oh well, i'm sure we'll probably get a few more vids or something...we also have the Brussels motor show coming up to, so if rumors are true (if i remember correctly) hopefully there will be something there too.

Yes, but most of the journalist go to CES to check out the electronics and new invention. It's a consumer electronic expo after all. Game is a side show there.

not too impressed with the 380z footage. well, i mean dont get me wrong, the cars and the track looked stunning, but that god damned AI bugs me so much! is it really so hard to have cars behind slow down if you take a corner slightly slower than them. dont tell me you would all tollerate being rammed off the road by an online GTP racer either. nevermind in a single player event with the computer taking you out! its criminal.

Is the background to the menu a big garage with all your cars in it?

thats one of the firdt things i noticed too. would be so awesome being able to walk around all the cars you've unlocked.

In the latest videos we can see cars linked to tracks..
(In the car selection menu that is)

I wonder why is this...

I hope we can drive any car on any track in the full game ?

What I also saw is that there is always a maximum of 8 cars on track...

I hope they wont reduce the number of cars in the full game (at least not for most of the tracks) ?

Its a demo for the show, of course we will be able to choose the car and track.
16 players are confirmed for online, so i doubt its less offline.

Yeah, it was probably limited to 8 because 16 would probably be too hectic for a public demo.

About a month ago there was a new NASCAR trailer with 16 cars so there will be 16 for at least some races if not most

In the end this doesn't appear to be final GT5 code as youcan't roll the cars, there is no damage etc etc.

Unless you are in first or last place, there is usually just one one car in front of you, and one car behind. Either way, what difference does it make how many actual cars are on track (I mean in terms of enjoying the race, not performance issues)?

I am pretty contempt with there being 16 cars on the track but if it is a big GP circuit like Fuji Speedway I would like to see more.

For a demo limited to 2 minutes 30 seconds I don't think 16 cars would have been reasonable  So yeah for the demos it really doesn't matter.

One thing i noticed, in previous demos and in Prologue there were a lot of duplicate cars. They've gradually gave us more and more so now we see all unique cars, and the way its looking, they're adding more and more for us to see, like the Mclaren F1. I'm just really hoping in the next we see a Koenigsegg CCX or a Noble M600, a RUF CTR3 or god forbid, a 911 GT2 or Carrera GT. We can always hope :P

16 cars is plenty IMO. Remember up until now we only had 6, so anything over 10 is a nice improvement.
