The main number is how many Mustangs are imported. Ford are introducing 20 new models from next year(a Ford DP told me this). The little EcoBoost mini SUV, Kuga, Fiesta ST, New XR8 that are already here, pretty much show Ford's commitment to selling road cars here. People have bought 86/BRZ's (the latter automatics going for $42kAUD). Mainly 4door anything are sold here. 300 SRT8s do good here as well. Coupes are out there so, it might not be about rear seat room. I see plenty MX-5s, 3-series coupes, Hyundai Velosters, TT's, Abarth 500s and Minis. Even R35 GT-Rs. It may be about location. When I lived in Melbourne, towbars only go on family vehicles. In New South Wales, towbars are on everything
We'll see. The EcoBoost Stang at $50kAUD (If that's the price expected), will most likely attract people who are trading in the BR-Z for more power. The convertible should do well. Once again, depends on how many are imported. I'm still struggling between the Mustang and ND MX-5.
Another thing, the Monaro has plenty of room front and back. Manual, auto, V8. I see them, but too few and far between. Australians prefer 4doors over coupes for sure. That's what I see.
