You should of checked the news section first mate

I guess this is a good place to put this

for people who think this Nurb is the same as GT4's.... well it's not.
There seems to be a large area of dirt on that corner now, where the guy spins out, among other things.

All the trees haven't changed in 4 yrs ...LOL

By the way...
Someone knows if we can change the info showed in the nissan GT-R display(like in real)? It would be nice...

yeah, well they are mature trees, the shape doesn't change too much :)

I compared the video with other real videos in the same corner and the trees look much the same, and in the same spot

Wow, that cockpit view looks amazing. The way the hands and wheel moves, better rear-view mirror, some of the dials seem to work well, it looks good I can't wait for it.

Explain. Are you talking about the dash board, gauges, dials, etc, being changed? Do you mean the HUD? External stuff like when you pick out the event or car? Or are you talking about something way different?

(The language barrier makes it hard to understand you too.)

Now it's gt4 in hd, i hope they'll really add something new to the next videos cause now is gt4 with a cockpit view and a new physic.. the car is still bouncing on the wall like a flipper, AI is still on a railway and it races like you're not on the track.. but hey it's only 5 years of work. (People still complain about skidmarks and reverse light when AI is **** and the game still look like a flipper.)

I think he means the display that shows G-forces, temp etc.

Oh I see. To me it looks like it is working, at least the gears and accelerate look like they work, but you can't really tell if it is accurate or just giving random readings.

Right. Sorry about my english.... I read somewhere it was designed by PD... It can show a lot of car info...

I guess this car can fly since it has "CARWINGS" button, ha ha ha.
I think this will cause Kaz/PD to implement flying cars into into GT5, so it will probably postpone to 2011....

I hope you can change the multi function display setting too, a little bit pointless but it's one of the many things I love about the GT-R. Not sure how easily you would be able to see some of the smaller dials unless you had a huge TV!

Why you people think that PD will put ring from GT4 in GT5 just HD and all other track will be brand new modeled with much more details???

Because I'm pretty sure remaking a 12mile track would be quite troublesome for PD when they alredy pretty much nailed it the first time 'round... I honestly don't see what people are complaining about.. GT4 ring in HD is all that needs to be.. I don't think they changed any corners between then and now so what do you expect to change? please don't say 3D trees or I'll be forced to kill a kitten or something...

Because we have seen only GT4 HD updated Nurb ;)

Btw. AI still sucks :(

No, five years isn't enough time to do this and many other things. Car graphicians were working hard for these five years but rest of the team have been on vacation four years of that. Therefore we can hear that wonderful buzzing instead of car engines, we can still watch AI still amazingly running into you like you weren't there again and we can see GT4 Nordschleife once again, isn't it fantastic? :)

This all reminds me GT4 so much that I have no block saying this is obviously the same game again, only in HD resolution.

With Playstation3 power graphic must be better than GT4 ring! You are ridiculous if expect same graphic as in GT4... You can compare PS2 and PS3.

sam here, this video is a shame.. 5 years for that? they've gotta be kidding me.

I need to stop watching GT5 videos. This game has been so super hyped that pretty much every one I see dissapoints me :(.

I only have myself to blame, because I've been waiting on this game for a little over 4 years now, and I kind of expected them to iron out a few of my previous niggles, Honestly the way it looks is of little concern. Don't get me wrong the car models are simply incredible now, nothing even comes close, and for that reason the physics will be greatly improved too. So no complaints there.

However, the AI leaves a lot to be disired. Nothing has changed since GT4. Ok so maybe it has, but the outcome is always the same. Cars ram you in the corners if you go a bit slow, they don't know when you're along side so they push you off the track, they even come at you full speed if you re-enter the track after a crash by mistake. All of which in my opinion are not very 'real'.

Those hand movements are poor too. First of all who drives a car that fast without a proper grip on the wheel? Thumbs out... I dont think so. There is no need to reposition the hands for gear changes in most instances either. Again, tackling the rings most difficult sections with one hand. Not 'real'.

I know in myself that none of this stuff is important, and regardless of how I feel the game will without a doubt be in my collection. All these niggles just wont matter, when I finally get my hands on my favourite ferrari, with beautifully accurate physics, on a track model that is simply to die for, and I can take pleasue in attacking my lap times one race after another. THATS what GranTurismo is all about, and I cant wait. And that right there is my problem.

I expected so much more from GT5 than what I've been seeing, but at the end of the day Kaz has perfected the things that make this series great,a nd thats something we can all be thankfull for.

And where are those red indicators on dash-board showing when to shift?

I mean realy, is that realy so hard?

The GT4's nurburgring it's absolutely perfect in every way. So tell me, why are you guys complaining? Seriously the game it's a huge improvement over GT4 ( watch out for the physics mode), I agree about the AI, it still ridiculously mechanical, they ram you in a turn, they follow the racing line no matter what it takes and a bunch of other annoying things, but the game it's almost perfect when you compare it with GT4.

This video is really nice, but what I really want to see it's a video featuring someone who really have a little bit of skill at least, c'mon.. the guy was passed by the AI! (Comment: He's driving the easiest (and one of the fastest) supercar in the world) :ouch: How hard driving a GTR can be??

Dunno - It's GT5 so I haven't tried it:tdown:.... but I could easily imagine the TT demo physics at speed on the ring could be quite a challenge...

Regarding the graphics and AI, it does look a little deja vue:nervous: Even the trees look like the cardboard cut out Christmas decorations that my kids were making back in December:indiff:

If KY / PD are expecting to hold true to their hype of blowing us all away, then all I can say is that they must have a hell of a lot more up their sleeves...

I actually believe the trees look great on the video, but until I get to play the game myself in my TV, I can't really say.

The trees are perfect to represent the real forests around the track since they can use thousands of them without performance issues. I dont know why this is a bad thing. If they would use fully modelled 3D trees with photorealistic wood textures and leafs, it wouldnt only take months more to make such a track, it would also destroy the performance of the game.

about the shifting...does his thumb go through the steering column connection when he's in shift position and turns or does it rub against it and just bounce...?

I like how his thumb comes off the wheel as he gets ready to shift. They need to polish that up a little though because you're right, it does go through sometimes.

Ever played PGR4? The Ring got full modeled 3D trees you feel like you driving through a forest with an awesome wideview on the hills. It's possible. But probably not with GT5 cause of the performance.

It looks like his thumb goes straight through it to me :S

You guys are hilarious.

Who cares if it's the GT4 Nurb in high resolution. GT always got compliments on how accurate the GT4 Nurb was, so why change it? Update the graphics and leave it alone in my opinion. Sheesh.
