New GTR for competing monday the 21st time trial

Can someone actually tell me, since I really don't feel like trudging through this entire thrwad, is this just the GT Academy GT-R that I have already, gathering dust because it is in no way even remotely special? You know, with the lack of aerodynamic parts and all that...and now it will be just some other godawful generic sight in every single lobby

Yep, can only change rims... can't even change the number lol.
It's my first car in this livery tho so I'm kinda happy.
 
so you don't even have to gold the challenge, I thought you have to gold it to get the car. I just finished 4 hrs nurburgring so I'm too tired to try to gold it

Thought so! I have a matte red one that has been sitting around for ages, and I got bored of it fast...I couldn't complement the stickers with a spoiler or anything. And I kept the stock wheels, for once too

Oh, matte red? I think this is a different model then, this one is unpaintable, but has stripes, it's actually good looking, just generic.
I wish it would let me paint mine... or trade!

No, its the academy special. not the stealth, or the painted one you have which is the academy version. There are 3 types.

I never knew that! Could it be that PD are going to give us something new this time round? Rather than that god damn Vettel X2010...might actually be looking forwards to this now

Its only new to outside the EU, We got it for entering the academy event several months ago.

You don't have to set a time, just enter the race then quit, you still get the car without golding :) we have 4 more accounts on the PS3 (kids and the other half) so was quicker doing it that way 👍
 
I wonder why they would that. Perhaps, it balances the ranking better? I remember GT5:P, they had separate boards for standard and professional. Then again, they could've locked it at SRF off. I guess they want it to make more accessible for everyone in the world, while having a balanced ranking board.

They had SRF off at the SLS event, probably because Coutherd's rep is on the line if a lot of people starts thinking it was easy to match his time lol. Just my thoughts.

At this point, does anyone still have hopes that we'll be getting an actual leaderboards for the game? You know, not just temporary ones.

My guess is that the GT5P leaderboards were hardly used enough to warrant their inclusion into GT5.
 
I can also confirm, the version of the Stealth Spec V recently released into North America is the one with plain paint and unchangeable number. So we still get short-changed. Come on PD, give us the real one with the changeable number! And the CF body if I'm not mistaken!
 
Question for you guys... I'm currently stuck in a 24h enduro with no end in sight (given my amount of playing time these days). Yet I'm trying not to miss getting this car.

Any workarounds? Can I use another account on my PS3, win this car, and as with other DLC cars, have it automatically show up in the garage of my main account?
