New HUD

I had hoped that the HUD was completely removable if you wanted it gone. I seem to remember Kaz saying that this wouldn't be possible though. Which is very surprising considering the simulation nature of the franchise and its easy implementation.

Also note how the X1 is showing different gears in the 2 shot's.
Strange for a car with a cvt gearbox as cvt has no gears !!!! hopefully not another detail fail p.d.

If you pay attention to that video you can hear him shifting gears. Apparently that first info about it being a turbine and cvt was incorrect or the design was changed after that info was released. Now a V6 TT with a gearbox attached it seems.

It may have a manual mode. My CVT has a 6 speed mode that has preset ratios so it can be shifted like a manual transmition. It kind of defeats the purpose of the CVT in a way though. Maybe if you choose manual gearbox it lets you shift and automatic is more like a CVT?

Here's another B-Spec mode picture. And I think those are standard cars... Look how detailed they are, though. And I think this version is sexy :D.

The time in the middle of the screen is boring, couldn't they put it at the top right hand corner ? :(

B-Spec just keeps looking better to me. I will use B-Spec on one profile and A-Spec on my GTP profile.

I like the new HUD; I hope we can add and remove items from it.

Is that track in the first picture Cape Ring, which we spotted along with Autumn Ring at the NY demo?

No, looks like Suzuka. Which is a pretty long track.

A normal NSX would take about 2 and a half minutes by itself at Suzuka. If the B-spec character drives extra 3 minutes, that's terrible, even with other cars.

Then maybe it's some track that we don't know of. Just look a bit like Suzuka. I couldn't remember the exact times.

Mock up screenie, don't try to make sense of the data.

Yea thats not even GT5, that same scene is located in the GTPSP trailer, I can also tell thoughs are not standard cars because in standard cars you can see the head of the driver wearing a red GT helment. and the windows are much clearer. thoughs are just completely black. Also even though standards wont share the level of detail premium car's receive, the GT5 lighting engine makes them look real, Thoughs look like touched up GT4 shots.

Now that I look closer, there's some things that I'm not really sure of.

1. There is a best lap even though it's the first lap, but we can assume that it's a past record, before this race.

2. On the map, I'm guessing that our car is the red arrow, but there's no sign of the car behind it. Even if it's close together, it should still not eclipse under the red arrow.

3. You see on top of the image (with the small colored cars) that the car is almost finished lap one, (and we can clearly confirm that it's the car that the camera is focused on because of the symbol and yellow arrow on top), but on the screen it's just finished the S-curves when it should be near the 130 R corner. Unless of course the small cars on top are going from right to left, but then it should be the car's second lap.

4. In relation to #3, why is there a last lap record if it's the car's first lap? We can clearly see a car in pit at the map on the left, so one could say that the pit stop would take time. But then again, this is the car's first lap. Unless they'd start the time while the car is in the pit stop (why would they, though?)

I'm confused.

Like somebody said earlier, "mock up".

The lap time must be a mock up, I think I could do a better time than that in every car except maybe that 1 hp Mercedes from GT4.
