I suggest anyone who wants to qualify for the finals of GT Academy to turn off all aids including ABS.
The difference between ABS-1 and ABS-off is huge.
I like challenges what about you?

How do you know that?
It killed me that i must have been racing against others with forced SRF on. This assist is non-existent in real life (because it bends the laws of physics) and yet they select the best driver who is (maybe not only) quick because he can use SRF very well.

Same people will still win.
Let's find out.

ABS has the same affect like SRF during braking in corner.

I know i dont use ABS because of that. The ride without ABS (when correctly set) is miles better than from ABS on.
but i simply must have turned on ABS when i was competing in local GT Academy qualification.

It will make things more fun if they do turn off ABS. However I think this should be done only when they improve physics so braking without ABS is more realistic in behaviour. The way it is now, I think less people will attempt the time trials.

To qualify through online qualifying time trials, SRF is forced off so if you were forced to race with SRF on, at least you know the drivers are likely to be fast without it if that is your concern.

In GT Academy'13 GT6 demo braking with ABS-off was more realistic than GT5.

.

They will. You can change the settings in game, change the game entirely, the same cream will always rise to the top. We had this same discussion in previous competitions with things like corner cutting, physics bugs etc. The fastest people do whatever they have to do to get to the top but take things away from them, they'll adapt and still be the fastest.

600PP GT500:Grand Valley Time Trial-hristo1027-1:46:880-all aids off,ABS off.
Now find someone to beat my best time with ABS-off.
Good luck!

What, you really think you're the best driver in the world with no aids and no ABS? You really don't think the best drivers can't adapt to driving like that? You're going to be in for surprise.

Then surprise me.

Do you use takata dome '03 ? I would be stunned if that time is done with Tom's Supra '97 :D

@super_gt, stop needlessly double-posting. I've merged them, again. Drop the attitude as well; there's always someone faster than you, unless you're one of the GTAcademy winners (and even then, sometimes, there are).

Excuse for you when you beat my best time-1:46:527 with ABS-off.

Continuing to ignore moderator instructions will not end well. Do not double-post again. Clicking the Reply button on all the posts you want to respond to before sending the response will keep them in a single one.

No excuses.

Most of the cars you actually drive when you reach your national final or race camp for GT Academy have ABS on, but yeah as others have stated it wouldn't change anything apart from the amount of casual gamers who just want to try the game/TT out with a pad!

GT5 ABS is not the same as real life ABS, GT5 is brake assist that has some stability assist as well, as often mentioned by Amar. So having ABS or not in GT5 will have no bearing to real life in terms of how fast or good a driver can be, except if we are comparing no ABS between GT5 and real life, only problem will be how harder it is for GT5 with lack of input feedback on the pedals compared to real life, but I've seen some real quick no ABS wheel driver in GT5, depends on the person really.

Unfortunately there is no GT Academy in my country.

Congratulations for zaggg59 well done!

Where did I ever say that I could beat you? I didn't, I said the fastest people in the game (not me) will still be the fastest people in the game however you set the assists up.
