Interesting pic you found there. That would be pretty sweet to race at that view. I've been using that type of view in TOCA Race Driver 2. Although, i would probably stick to the first person view. I do remember KY saying something about a roof cam for GT4...but i could be mistaken.

There is a roof cam in the replays of prologue, not sure about the normal game play though.

Really hope that we have a driving view where you can see the some of the hood ( bonnet ). 1st person view in GT3 is good, but not the most realistict and the gages are to big. Behind the car view in GT3 is not very good, especially for any car that has a spoiler/rear wing. With the small cars it is okay but that is about it. Has there been any changes to the replay system ? I hope they would have pause, fastfoward, rewind, and hopefully jump to lap. Maybe they could even have enhanched replay save, where you can start and stop the replay save, meaning record just what you want.

Exactly what i want ... 👍

I tried it with the new DEMO and personnally i don't very lick this view. You car appear to be STICK...i don't know how to explain that, but your car is stiff on the screen, it doesnt move, it's juste the screen who moves. I prefer the in car view!!

And you could find on the net some vide with these view! I dont remember where, but i probably found the link on gtPlanet :)

Oh sorry, the pic doesn't load, and i tought taht you talk about the view over the car!!!
Sorry for my error!
You know , there is an edit button.
Anyway , if there is this new car view would be pretty awesome.
But since I'm used to 1st person view I won't be using it ;)

I gotta agree, I always have to stick to the 1st person view whenever I'm driving something like a Skyline or Evo because the visibility isn't that good. But hopefully there'll be some better views in GT4.

Couldn't they have a TOCA style view which was actually inside the car. You could see the driver shifts and steering. It wasn't very good because you could hardly see the track, but it was still great fun.

Me too... I have always used the exterior view, in GT3, because the bumper cam is such a poor vantage point... No one races with their head sticking out of the front bumper... A hood view would solve this problem, and give you a better view angle, so as to better judge upcoming turns...

The GT3 bumper cam is stiff as well... The camera does not move at all... You only see what is directly in front of your vehicle... It's no different...

;)

Wow that guy's must be serious if he's actually wearing a fire-suit.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind a roof cam or an in-car view. I'll probably stick to the 1st person view, though, you get a better feel of the road.

I just want something that is in the car... I can't drive with the chase came... I always mis judge turns, constantly, because of distances and speeds. That, and is seems amazingly unrealistic..
An in the cockpit view would be nice, with different gauge layouts on the cars and what not, but that is unlikely I am thinking.

Sometimes a cocpit view might be a real pain in the a**. Nascar Racing from Papyrus or DTM2002 mod for F1C are good (bad?) examples, but when done properly you just can't get out of it ;).
However, a well desingned cocpit view, unless we're talking about an early NFS bitmap style, means hundreds of additional polys, which in a GT4 case would be counted over 650 times.
A bonnet cam would be a good compromise.

I dont really want anymore views. Down the straighs I like to go to 3rd person view and look at my car (I dunno why) and if there are say, 5 views that means I have to press R1 more. Mabey Im just lazy.
What track is that by the way?

I've noticed the sound is hardly audible in the in-car view in GT4. I was shocked! This almost makes me not want to race in the in-car view. Am I the only one who finds this a disturbing development? It seems so, I haven't heard anyone about it yet.
