RX-7 is premium.All GT5P cars are premiums.

Yes the RX-7 Spirt R in GT5P is premium but what your not getting is im talking about the regular version of the RX-7 that is in GT4. That car has a similar interior as the RX-7 Spirit R but should be a standard carin GT5. This is why i say PD can easily duplicate the interiors.

No they "upscaled and optimized" them and that is a quote.

In other words "standard" cars are recycled from GT4 hi-res snapshots.
"Premium" car can take from 3 to 6 month to make. That's why it's only 200 of them.Makes sense.Again.

I think they don't want to do it.They striving for realism and quality.I think no.

And maybe they just REDONE some cars that they like to be "premiums".Especially Japan legendary sports-cars.Especially when Japan GT drivers using them...

Edited:
Don't get me wrong - it's better that I'm wrong, but I'm pessimistic right now.Preparing for 200 cars.
(Kaz himself mentioning "interior view" from beginning, he just don't know that we can't believe in it.So he's confused too - he think we understand it since very first mentioning about premiums.

upscaled and optimized what? im sorry i just think that all cars will have intieriors im not worrying about it.

Here let me get the whole quote.

"there's over 800 of them, they cover the majority of the vehicles included in all the previous Gran Turismo games, including the PSP version, and they've been optimised and upscaled for the PS3."

so that means they all have intieiors just the 800 are not as ood as the 200 premium... thats what i get out of it.

It means they took the data from gtpsp and gt4 and made the standard cars by increasing the resolution and optimizing them for gt5 by definition of that quote.

are you talking about just the extierior of the car " by means of uspcaled and optomized"?

That is all they said so I would assume it is both interior and exterior.

Look I am not trying to argue/fight I am just plain stating the facts as we are able to read/see them

To be exact Kaz says:
"We glad that GTPSP cars are made from PS3 models and NOT recycled from GT4". That's I remember for sure.

okay that makes sense. Thanks

But using that train of thought, if there was no / a black interior in gtpsp for that car; unless they made a cockpit view for it, it will just be a upscaled & optimized version of the gtpsp cockpit view.

Look, in Kaz's interview just now, he asked if we wanted "black-border" cockpit views, like in GT PSP:

So that means the cockpit view for the "Standard" cars isn't there..

Well, consider the possibility that KY is just screwing around, teasing us in order to have more to unveil later. He posed a question about whether we'd be happy with the black masks, not that interior views weren't available.

I'm betting PD will deliver on interior views, with those in the Premium models being fully detailed and more-specific to the exact model being driven.

But that makes no sense at all.

It is in their best interest to be honest here and not screw around, I don't think he is being sarcastic or screwing around. He need to get the proper question on this topic and give us a real answer.

💡

probably worth a try...

go to the demopod on e3 and select an 'standard' car and look for the views! Those musclecars were defined as standard. So the demo has premium and standard cars. Just need someone to find out.....:)

i never thought of it that way but that makes sense too.

I agree with this, I'm pretty damn sure all cars will have interior view. Only difference would be in detail.

Actually that means they didnt go back and rescan all those 800+ cars, retake all those photos. They just used the info they gathered on them over the years and just built them for GT5. So those cars will have slightly less shine to them that makes them not premium. Premium cars are cars that were scanned and photographed in recently. Meaning they have high quality up to date information, and these cars were built from the ground up to deform in ways the others weren't built up to. Im pretty sure that Kaz and the crew took photos of the cars inside and out during all those years of making the other GT's, it wouldn't make any sense if they didn't. GTHD cars sported interiors, so I don't understand why even those pretty much GT4 HQ models had interiors and GT5 LQ ones won't. They'll probably be run of the mill looking, standard viper interior(gauges, lighting, wheel, shifter, plastic trimming), premium viper(everything but the plastic, high fidelity looking leather upholstery, fully working gauge cluster, visible stitching on leather, etc.)

Why wouldn't it be possible for him to be slightly sarcastic or screwing around if he perhaps fully knows we shouldn't worry about it?
He's not dishonest or lying, just economic with the truth for some reason which would make sense if he would like to hold the final cards to his chest and wait for the coming Gamescom and TGS shows to fully show GT5.
If it turns out he was messing with us and he doesn't deliver interiors on all cars in GT5 I'll be disappointed but I'm rather hopefull after his replies as they did sound sarcastically regarding black framed PSP style interiors.:)

Any cockpit view is better than nothing. Like forza 3 has shown; it has cockpits that are all messed up and have gauges that don't work etc...

They specifically had this "Upscaled and Optimized" quote in multiple interviews/translations. It is in almost every interview from the day that the eurogamer interview was released.

Because it is not funny in any way. At all.

If I was anything near E3, that would be my first thing to do.
Are there any "standard"-listed cars in E3 demo? They said muscles are standard.
Someone who's around on E3 definitely needs to go and check that out!

Are you talking about 2 versions of the same car or 2 different types of viper(completely different model of viper, ex. normal viper to a viper acr).

Because if they have one standard and one premium version of the same car (certain cars only) then their going to have a lot more duplicates than before, they would be guilty of super extreme car list padding. There would be a lot of angry faces. :indiff:

No there are more than one Vipers in GT to begin with. GTS, GTS-R, ACR. GT always seemed to give you more than one model of a vehicle especially if they vehicle had special models. Another reason why nothing else touches GT in immensity, they give you options. GT has never padded it's garage, they have always had more vehicles to tinker with than any other game out there.

Guys there won't be cockpit view for standard cars pure and simple ,yes diisapointing but get over it.Sorry but this is the harsh reality

Wow, been away for a couple of hours, hoping the cockpit view discussion would've ended.
But it only got more confusing :guilty:

Gamescom.
Fixed ;)
