I don't think he's trying to be funny or sarcastic, just coy. The idea is to keep a head of steam and build interest continually between now and release date, if possible.

Therefore, keep a few aces up your sleeve to roll out at shows between now and November. Tracks, tricks (spark/smoke effects, damage), interiors, weather details etc. We know he's holding back on customization; that was stated plainly.
 
There WILL be cockpit view, as stated in that interview, the only difference is that premium will have all the bits in the cockpit working, and the standard ones will probably only have the speedo and rev-counter working, if even.

Also the video posted earlier in the thread that was locked, about the muscle cars looking like the windows were all tinted out - they weren't, and it looked very much like a replay in GT5:P looks - and they all have cockpit views.

And now that I know we wont be getting 1000 Cockpits, they are pulling a lot of videos from the cockpit :sad:
 
Oh, my God. Cockpit view is easy to build. It's very unfair to many cockpit-view players. However, in my opinion, 200 premium cars are enough for me.
 
Where is the proof of no cockpit view for standard cars? I find the article in the link in post 1 is Spanish. The google translation does not tell anything about no cockpit view.

No cockpit view? How can the face-tracking function?
