I want one! First Lambo in a while that's really got my excited (last was the Murcielago R-GT). True to the original but modernised at the same time. Not sure how much I like the power output though, could turn out to be another Veyron-type handler.

I think it's stunning...

This is the second "Miura" concept I have seen... I saw the other in Road and Track (or maybe Car and Driver)... I liked the other quite a bit, but this one sure is sexy... Wheels withstanding...

If Lambo has two cents rolling around in their noggins, they would use the Audi V8 out of the RS4 (414bhp), the same 6-speed manual, and convert it all to RWD. If they use the 911 Carrera, V8 Vantage, Corvette Z51, and Jaguar XK as targets, a mid $80-100K pricetag is within the realm of "affordability" people may be looking for.

Its not happening. The audi R8 will be a either a £60,000 414hp car or a 500+ hp car which is designed to undercut the 911 with more power at a cheaper price than its base model. Therefore the miura has no place in the $80-100k market as it would take sales from porsche and we all know that porsche owns 20% of VW. The R8 will take quite a few sales of the 911 as it is.

I wonder what the point is of this concept. It'll never be as great as the original.

A bit like the new Ford GT, although I have to admit they did a good job on the re-designing. But this....is just ugly in my opinion.

That Muira looks really good, only thing I dont really like is the louvers but the rest of looks sweet. I dont think they should start making even more retro cars though like other companies (trying to retro-ize all the vehicles)

I like this design. Understated, not too flashy like the recent Lamborghinis. I also like the references to the original color scheme, with the green color and the grey accents. Hopefully they ditch the wheels, or at least the chrome.

Looks too boring, and the back end looks like that of a 60s muscle car, not very italian-esq

I think it looks really nice. Such a clean design, they really did a nice job reincarnating the classic. I'm not a big fan of their current line-up (too vulgar), this is so much better. Good thing the designers at Lambo were brave enough to come up with a design that looks nothing like the other new Lambos.

Too bad it's gonna be AWD, I don't think it suits a car like Miura. And somehow I find it hard to believe it's gonna have 700 hp but I guess it's really gonna happen. Cool car 👍

Wow, this thing looks marvelous!

Two things styling-wise, however. They need to make the doorline dip down a bit more and raise the haunches a little more. Just exaggerate the lines a little.

The louvers look great, and keep the look of the original.

I do hope they will make it rear wheel drive only, as making it AWD ruins the character of it. The original was MR, and this one should be too.

I like it. It really does take the old Muira's old roots.

I'll be talking to some Lamborghini guys here, but unfornately, they'll probably know as much as the magazines.

It is very nice indeed. Only criticism I have about it is the front lights were they have some kind of sparkly thing on it and the rear end exhausts that come out/merged into the rear grille.

I wish that this would have 400hp and a price tag of $120,000. Then I could buy one.

I agree with Event
it doesn't look too italian
but yes indeed the new miura looks very sweet
really great design

Looks sexy in those pics and nice color choice. IMO, it really does have the complete essence of the old Muira in all its looks.

Hopefully, it'll be true and become an Enzo beater.

Wow, I like the look of it in those pics. I quite like it even more now. I wish it was in a different colour though. That faded yellow isn't doing it for me, and I guess we'll all know who's got dibs on the first one when and if they roll out into production.....Also, what does Centro Stile mean on the license plate?

I cant stop looking at this car. Its like a supermodel. Its just pure sexyness and elegance.

Ferrari is doing the retro thing too. Theyre making a new testarossa with 600hp. This has got it beat on looks however.

Totally! This is one sexy beast! I dunno, but I think this newer incarnation seems sexier than the old classic. I'd love to see them side by side though, then I could tell which one is sexier...

I heard about that too, but I thought it was a rumour. Has it been officially announced by Ferrari?

Nothing official but there are pics of the new ferrari 600 with the testarossa styled star shaped alloys.

Heres a video of it at the ring.

Seen pics of that car a while back. I thought it was officially called the 600 Imola?

Infact I found some more pics of it on another forum. Here they are:

Plus the 600 Imola is going to be an FR design which replaces the 575 Maranello. If they do call it a Testarossa, it'd be a little odd for it to be a front engine rear wheel drive coupé.

Yeah 600 imola is what theyre going with as of now. Not to sure were people get the testarossa bit other than the shape of the alloys.

Fixed the link.

The Miura Concept looks great if you ask me.

However, if I was to get the chance at re-creating a Lambo from the past, it would be the Contauch (sp?) that got my full attention. 👍

That car was an icon for so many people my age. :dopey:

At the same time though, the Miura and its style fall into a void at Lambo when you look at cars like the Murciellago and the Gallardo (sp? on both of those as well).

In any case, it looks like a great car and based on what Lambo has been doing the last few years I would be suprised if it wasn't a great car on the road as well as in the show-room.

Could've been a lot worse. I like it. And yes, wheels gotta go. :D

If anything, the Muria is the way the Lambo should go to be more compeditive with Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, and Maserati. All produce sub-$100K sports cars that have a good ammount of performance at a decent price, and it generally is where most of the money can be made. Ferrari also had talked about doing the same thing by recreating the Dino, or something similar to that nature. Lets cross our fingers that cooler heads prevail and the car makes it into production...

I have only found out from an old friend that the car is 60-65% Green Light as of now and that the Miura was chosen as the next model in the Lamborghini Line-up to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.

Lambo are making a cheaper entry level rwd gallardo to compete with porsche. Should come in at about 80k. Theyre also making a stripped out racer version of the gallardo which they say will reduced the weight of the car significantly. BMW are also making a M6 CSL. Audis R8 could be unveiled tomorrow aswell or it will do in the following months at another motorshow.

Alot of sexy cars coming out this year and next. Especially ones for us enthuaist types.
