Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum and the on-road drifting scene in GT4. I'm a decent drifter on the Smokey Mountains dirt track. I know basic techniques but have never actually tried while on-road. I'm looking to get better and find a new way to use GT4.

I plan to drift Mustangs.

Hi guys i'm one member of the team called Rec'n'Race vehicles, we have a tuner garage in the tuning and sttings forum.

I'm not sure yet if i will be racing under the RRV flag, but i will definatley be competing as soon as my Vid cap is up and running.

Wanted to say hi, i've been drifting in Gt4 and in real life for, nearly two years now but i've never submitted a video. i've made several drift tunes, currently I use an rx-7 to get my slideways fix, but i'm always testing and tuning new cars so anything can happen.

Part of why i've gone the drift route i suppose is because i only race on street tires as much as possible in gt, i play against my friends alot and i prefer street cars so i can only use my tunes with street tires most of the time, so that's what i make my cars to do! I know alot of people use the economy tires and such but i race on s3's 99.9% of the time and it's what i use to drift as well. On trial mountain i initiate my first drift at about 140 mph so i can't be all that bad;) oh well see you all on the touge, later.

hello people!!! :D im new to these forums and new to drifting, i spin off a lot :indiff: but im not new to GT4. I think myself good at GT4 (i've completed it, 100%) and im only 13 :) But since i've got used to driving really fast and not getting the back-end out, i find it really hard to drift. So i hope this site works for me ;)

Trust me. It will. When I joined I had no idea that I could drift in GT4. Now, thanks to GTP, I can get some great drifts.

Welcome to the world of Drifting!

Usually when i address new drifters I include this link. Just to help keep the main drifting forum from filling up with questions about settings and what not.

Hey guys, I'm back.

I used to post here ages ago but then stopped for a while, even though I still read whats giong on.

I must say thanks to all the guys out there giving out info, thanks to all the advice I've read on this site, I'm now a more than decent drifter, and loving gt4 more and more.

I've saved some pics, I'll get around to posting them :)

Snapback can be fixed with either, MINOR alterations to the camber, or less counter steering.

And in the future, please avoid typing in shorthand. Some of the mods won't tolerate it.

Hazzy is back!!!!!

Okey, i know what you're thinking... "who the h**l is hazzy?" Well... i Where a "little" more active for about a year ago, but stopped after my PS2 Stopped working (:yuck:)... it was a major bummer, and i was incapable of getting a PS3 because i live in europe....(and when it was released, my dad was like "it's too expensive! wait until cristmas!" so i impatiently waited 6 months until cristmas (2 days YAY), and om 110% sure im getting it. And since i don't have any plans on getting GT5:P yet, i figured that i should try a little challenge for myself on GT4: "is it possible to win by Drifting on all events except race-car events?" so i will figure that out in 2 days ^^.

But anyways, I'm happy to finnaly be back!

It's not so difficult... even though i havent played GT4 for 6 months, i've played other simulation racing games (EX Forza), so the drifting skills are (hopefully) still there :sly: just need a couple of hours to get to know the PS3 controller and the physics of GT4 again, then off to do the challenge :)

Hey everyone.

I'm Chris. After searching for Car settings i found this website and it inspired me to try drifting myself on GT4.

I am currently using my HKS Genki Hyper Silvia at the moment and my favourite track to drift around is the tokyo city course.

I am planning to make my skyline into a decent drift racer or my Supra JGTC car possibly.

Hi

im new. but im not new to GT. i have been playing gran turismo since i was 8-9 years old (grade 3). i have been trying for some odd months on how to drift. i have bee ntrying hard with the Mazda BP Falken RX-7(FC)

Hey everybody.

My name is Fluke, ive been playing since GT1, which technically makes me a 'veteran'.

I guess i should tell you a few things then?

Well, my favourite car on GT4 is curently my nissan pitwork motul Z (JGTC).

My favourite track is the nurbergring.

Im starting to drift aswell, so i did the novice thing and bought myself a honda s2000, but when i got the hang of it i got a HKS hyper genkei silvia.

Thats all you need to know i guess, thanks for listening.

hi i have got all the gt games and out of alll those years i only found out drifting yesterday so yeh to me now i aint bored of gt4 anymore with the new drift thing i can have fun all the time.

Hope you all have a good time here at GTP. Most of the people here will help you if you ask. Just don't be to off the walls.

Welcome, and enjoy!!!

Just wana thank you for having the best GT forum and keeping us all immersed in the game for years. After almost 4 years of almost continual GT4 play I'm just recently becoming more involved in photo-mode and sometimes drifting. I aspire to host photo comps in future tho I don't know enough about setting up polls etc.

As a professional Commercial & Fine Art Photographer, I am currently enjoying GT-Planet's hosted competitions. Hey, I joined a few years ago but had no clue ... duh!

Anyway, if you can offer some advice as to hosting comps, I'd be a happy camper here in South China, near Hong Kong. I lived in Japan for 17 years and so I bet I can make for a pretty good GUIDE !!! Oh, shooting pics too!

I'll get around to making a request when I win some comps.

:ouch:I am quite annoyed with DEAD comps started in November and just left CLEARLY MARKED 'OPEN'!

Hey everyone!! Names Fender_X, i'm 15 in 9 days (yay), and until last week or so, i had absolutly no idea that it was possible to drift in GT4. I drift a silver sileighty with a silver wing at the moment and loving every second of it :D

Hello everybody =D i love gt4 and i am fairly good at tuning but drifting im not so good at ive seen it for real (i saw dijuro yoshihara XD) but anyway hopefully with y'alls help i can get good at drifting

hi guys, I'm a newbie at the forum, currently living in Jakarta - Indonesia, and the name's Dhani. I'm 19 years old turning 20 this June, and have been playing GT since GT2.

I love to drift in GT4, with almost any car I have in the garage... be it a '85 Honda Today, '99 Nissan Skyline GTR N1, Aston Martin DB9, or my favourite BMW M3. though most of the time I ended up overspinning the car, it just never stops me from doing it; it's really fun (and challenging) to do it over, over, and over till I get it right. it's really cool to watch the replay and see the car going s(l)ideways with billowing smoke coming out of the rear tires and the front wheels countersteering...

hope I can find new drifter (as well as non-drifter) friends here and share the drift experience.

cheers! :)

Im new to drifting in GT4 but i have been playing it since it came out, I visit this site regularly but it was only yesterday i made my account. I'll drift anything as long as its got 4 wheels. Im 14, turning 15 in July and living in Alberta Canada

Hey, im new, and i like drifting.

I started to like drifting after i drove a blitz skyline round a corner and it was sliding hard out and i managed to control it and i was like "Woah, i just drifted!"

So, i looked around found this place and joined and i am loving every minute.

By the way, i drift in the blitz skyline, HKS s15 and the D1GP Rx7

Been on Gt4 4 yrs & yesterday lost all DATA on 8MB memory card = 4 months! No matter I started over many times and there's always FUN in starting over!
As for DRIFTING- hmmm - tough without GT-Force etc.
Hope to see some of you in the Photo Comps YA?!?
