Overheard this new glitch from some of my GT5 buddies, figured I'd make a video for anyone who might've been curious to what this glitch is all about.

yay, just what this game needed, another economy killing glitch...

ah, well. I suppose it's better than a zillion laps of indy or 12 24 hours of Le Mans.

How much money are we talkin' here? Like, what did your prize come out to be after 200 "laps"?

Do we honesty need another thread for this?

Yes. this is the first video/thread that explains it well. And does having another thread hurt you, mentally or physically, in any way?

Wow, today I went online looking for some good old fashion racing, to my surprise about 50% were this money cheating stage 7 race. It will be so nice once PD has eliminated this crap.

There's already a video of it in the video section.

Wow, I actually thought pretty highly of the HSRL because you guys use proper sim equipment and your league is set up really well... but putting your name on a video demonstrating this to everyone makes me lose all respect for your league. So much for "A place for genuine drivers and simulation enthusiasts" I guess.

It's called exploiting the bug so they fix it, don't get it twisted.

We don't hide in the background hoping to get away with a few extra digital bucks.

Seriously? I never understand attitudes like this. Abusing this exploit has nothing to do with the way someone races. It's just a way around the endless grinding one has to do to level up past 30 and/or acquire the more expensive cars in the game.

Just because someone found a way around the horrible horrible system PD gave us does not mean they aren't clean skilled racers. How does it effect their league in any way shape or form?

In a six person room which is optimal you're looking at 3.6 million cr's and 1.1 mill exp, second is 2.5 mill and about 800K exp and 3rd about 1.7 mill and 500K exp.

i just wonder who found out about this and how he did it.. doesnt it make you wonder? seriously.. what a life he has

At the very least, fixing these "bugs" that people are "exploiting" takes serious man-hours away from other fixes and upgrades that might otherwise make the game better: A cause which I'm sure we can all rally behind.

And I too am of the opinion that folks holding themselves in high enough regard to form or join a team of driving "enthusiasts" should refrain from such bulls**ttery as is posted here.

Regardless, I was curious to see how it's done, just as I was more than happy to watch the videos of rubber band grinding, flying X2010s, etc.

Interesring as it is to watch, exploiting (in general) just isn't for me and, as I fancy myself a driving "enthusiast", it stings a bit to see other supposedly like-minded individuals endorsing it.

Just plain cheating nothing else

I never said they were lousy racers because of this. But the slogan about GENUINE drivers is a bit tarnished. I'm sorry, I've GENUINELY worked my way to level 32... and getting 500k XP in 15 minutes is far from genuine. I'm sure they all race super clean, and as a matter of fact, I'd be willing to bet that MOST of the people in the league don't yet know that their founder has posted this video.

I'm all for spreading the word so PD will provide a fix in a hurry, but did you have to put your league in the intro of the video? It gives the impression that you and the entire league support what is happening. I comes across like "we here at the HSRL love to hack our way through the game, and this is the latest way we've found to get a ton of money the lazy way."

See what I mean? I'm not the only one that misunderstood your intentions. Your league is being misrepresented here.

You must stop posting this stuff online! This is what type of stuff us gamers try to keep secret and share it with our friends on GT5 Online. But no! Others have to be a kill joy and post stuff that eventually get patched and piss all of us who found this glitch off big time! I am happy with this glitch that someone found, I really hope Poly Phony does not notice this crazy fast.

or maybe whoever figured this out new about ti fir a while and got everything they needed out of it and decided now its everyone elses turn to get something for it and eventually it will be shut down, but who cares. The whiners are annoying enough, but the people who claim someone is 'cheating' or 'abusing' this is worse the kettle is black and so are you pot!

While my morals conflict with glitching, finding glitches and then exposing them are a good thing. Care to know why?

Exposing a glitch and publicly is likely for it to be brought to PD's attention. At that point they can fix it or leave it, their call. Glitches are just oversights or an issue in the programming... so by exposing them we're in turn just making the game better if PD is to ever know about them.

If you want to keep your glitches to yourself, it will take longer for the developers to find them. You can reap the rewards much longer by staying silent... but you're hurting the game's progression in the process.

Luckily, in a game like this, the only thing glitching will do is allow you to obtain cars faster and perhaps give you an advantage over someone who can't afford certain cars.

If there were more events (15 or 18 per section instead of 9) and better xp and cash rewards, people would not be resorting to exploits like this. Most games are planned out with enough events, to allow you to reach the next level and buy all the stuff, without doing one race a hundred times.

I agree. I don't bother playing offline anymore. i accept that i'll never own most of the cars and just have fun racing online (if i can find a decent room). Glitching does sound like a really boring way to pass your time though.

I'd like anyone doing this to be banned.....

Wow. That's pretty damn complex. How the hell did people find this?

I think it may have been an accident, someone probably went to fast and glitched into the wall, then went to explore further.
