I'm even surprised I'm remembered on GTP, I think this is my first post in over a year...

Oh, I think I won't play travian again. Was fun when I had no job, but now I can't even check my email every day, let alone be online to watch for attacks and move crop to offset -100,000k/hr.

Hey, nice to see you around here again, what's up ? of course we remember you, at least us travian guys ;)
I don't post that much anymore, but I'm on gtp at least one time every two days...

All those screenshots of travian, mixed feelings I can tell you, it was a lot of fun, but at least as much pain :D

Imo there are only 4 possibilities :

- play serious :
lots of fun and tension, but in the end the game will eat you up

- go crazy :
playing serious in the beginning, take your army and go crazy with your troops : as soon as you stop plaing it a seriously you get raped by all your neighbors

- don't play at all. imo it doesn't make a lot of sense. being a farm is boring.

- share your account with at least another 2 casual gamers. this might be the most user friendly way of playing travian. Probably the only option I might consider in future...

I think that's me, too.

Anyway, I'm up to L-14/C-17/I-8/C-6 an hour.
24 Population, soon to be 27.

I've got a level 1 Embassy - Should I go ahead and bump it up to level 3, as to start an alliance? Or is someone else already closer to that then I am?
My only other current priority is to get a barracks up to start raiding a couple smaller players around me.

Edit - I've got 175 Crop up for sale, searching 225 Iron. Takers welcome.

Lumber: 24 per hour
Clay: 28 per hour
Iron: 20 per hour
Crop: 4 per hour

Population of 34... going to start cranny-ing up here tomorrow and then continue working on fields till I can quickly pump out infantry I think.

Resources stored, not per hour ;)

Be aware crannies only hold 66% of their max when Teutons attack ;)

Meanwhile, I'm having to delete about 50-odd spammer accounts from the old GTP-R forum...
 
Walls have (very little) no effect against attacking troops when you have no troops yourself ;)

Hey guys!! I'm going to give it another try. I'm way out there -150/45 teutons this time. I found a 9 cropper very close by.

I made a second village -146/60 and theres a 9 and 15 cropper on my map!! I think i might focus on this one more.

A question to whoever's watching: If I want to do a raid, are my chances of troop loss substantial if I've only got a few going?
It's inactive people close to me, about a third my size.

I would say have 3 or 4 troops if you are Tuetons or Romans, and about 7-8 if you have Guals. The low attack on Phalanx means you need more of them.

If you are raiding inactives, you should have no concerns about them having troops.
 
I can't even get enough resources to build barracks.... :(


I was only 3 Iron away too.... When does this alliance get set up again?
 
1) Don't bother trying to train any troops. It won't work. Rather, IGM the guy raiding you and ask why he's doing so. He might think you're inactive.

2) When someone gets a level 3 embassy...

I've messaged the last 3 because they all attacked me within a day.
