Im currently on a business trip to Dubai and will first be back tomorrow

If you are in Dubai, you must go try this go kart track. Haven't seen anything like this in the U.S. I raced there with some of my Dubai co-workers. The outdoor track is amazing. Check out the photo thread.

If they had included drift and TT last week I wouldn't have minded because i can spend hours doing those but I'm getting bored of the supercar festival already although having said that i still found it to be the most fun seasonal so far (I used Eifel to tune about 20 cars that were neglected). Hopefully they bring us something nice.

I expected there to be a game up by tonight, yet there isn't. PD has definitely solidified the decision not to buy the next Gran Turismo game. I get that S!@T happens. But at least make a statement and safe face. Don't promise updates on certain days of the week and then not deliver on those promises. All it does is destroy the trust the consumer has in the product. I'm pretty annoyed about it.

PSN goes down in late April and is down for a full month. During that time, PD should have had 4 updates. When PSN resumed, they only had one and that was for the next week, so it doesn't even count. They had 4 weeks to prepare updates and seasonal events. For something that occurs weekly, there is zero excuse for PD to not have updated seasonal events. They should be 4 weeks ahead of the curve and yet are now behind again.

No. They don't need to. These games were complete upon release.

Anyway, I think that PD should definitely have been ready for the next update, they had 4 weeks to do so. But they have failed to do that. They should at least stick to their schedule. Also, isn't it two weeks for each update now? I haven't really counted the week(s) since they last updated, since I don't play GT5 often anymore.

GT5 doesn't actually 'need' seasonals. If they'd never introduced them in the first place would people have noticed? Sure, there's plenty to be diappoionted, disgruntled and disenfranchised about, I'm just wondering why the issue of seasonal events seems to enflame people enough to cause them to swear off the game.

Also, I dunno about Forza, but the praise hasn't been exactly universal for dirt3.

Maybe PD hasn't been working on seasonals this past week. Maybe they have been working on the next game update... the one Kaz mentioned on his twitter... the one that will fix the endurance game save situation that probably the same crowd has been whinning about?

Thomas, I have never owned a game that has had anywhere close to the number of issues this game has. This is supposed to be a finished product. The process for delivering online content is supposed to be second-nature by now. Most games have only needed one or two updates since they were released. The fact that this game is 6 months into it's lifespan and still needs major updates is not something to just brush off. It means the game was never completed and we all paid top dollar for an incomplete product.


As for SlyckTires, I disagree. It is clear that this game was always intended to have a long shelf life due to the epic amount of time it took to make. Playing the same races over and over again is boring. It isn't entertaining. I think 95% of the people who bought GT5, have owned previous GT games and know how boring the same tracks and races are. They bought this game to see something new, not the same old GT. So PD does have a need to keep on schedule with their seasonal events and the OCD.

I understand your opinion (though I disagree with it being incomplete) what I meant was it just seems silly that PD miss one seasonal event and everyone cries RUINED FOREVER!!!!!!

Correct me if I am wrong (and I doubt it) but doesn't the fact that seasonal races weren't updated mean the next patch is inbound. It has done that in the past.
