I had problems with that one too. Now I merely tap the brake (some cars it's more of a lifting off the accelerator than braking) with the car on the left side of the track before the corner and bring the car in towards the inside of the bend without gas (so that the front doesn't understeer - modulate the throttle where necessary to maintain speed) and as soon as you feel the bend open out, accelerate smoothly back out to the left of the track and away we go.
I found that my exit speeds were higher this way rather than massive braking or sliding into the corner.
Doing the 24hr gave me the chance to repeat that corner over and over so that I could push the entry and apex speed to the limit.
I'm interested to know how everyone else takes this corner.👍
Me too. I suspect this is the most important corner to get right as a difference of a few mph at the start of the straight makes quite a big difference to your time. I tend to take it too conservatively, to avoid running wide and having to lift, and end up not using the whole width of the track on the exit. Judging the right point to apply full power seems to elude me due to the lack of landmarks. More practice needed.
