Just finished the Suzuka race. I was driving the Mobil 1 NSX with ABS 1 only and finished 55 seconds ahead on RS tires and no pit for inters. Rain got to 35%.

SRF is laughable...first time ever using it. Made my Mobil 1 handle like it was on rails and I have it set very loose. Nothing expert about this seasonal.

I thought for sure that I read in the description of these events that they were expert challenges. If thats the case, I must be a friggin' alien because I won them all easily. Appreciate the weather change and the length of each race, but come on. Expert? Really? At least the prizes are decent. Just have to go back with some underpowered cars for a challenge I guess.

Me 2 cargo. I absolutely hammered the nurburgring one, the 600pp one. I won by well over a minute.

I lapped the entire field at Spa

When it got really wet the AI were in 2nd gear through Eau Rouge... F'wits

The car doesn't have to be a 'tuner car' or 'tuned car' (whatever that is?)... I used the premium C7 Vette upgraded with fully customisable suspension/gears/LSD... so why don't you use a regular GTR with mods to take it up to 600pps?

The moment you add a part to increase the performance of a car, that's the basics of tuning, hence, a tuned car.
And surely you mean the C6, I don't believe the C7 allows any kind of modifications just yet.

You were discussing the Academy GTR... just wondered why you didn't just take the regular GTR?

And yes, my mistake... the most modern Vette in the dealers... which is the 6 :dunce:

^ This. Its not, "unmasked" yet of course. :sly:

Erm... So I was just doing the 500GT one, at Suzuka, and everyone pitted after lap 1. Made for a somewhat easy race.

I could indeed take a stock car against some tuned up competiton. That would surely make things interesting. :sly:

However, I enjoy adjusting a car settings until it feels just right for me. Hence, making those 3 laps of Nurburgring wile avoiding the "moving chicanes" a bit less tedious.

Common mistake. With all the buzz around the C7, it's only natural that your brains starts heading that way. :dopey:

Well...that wasn't much of an "expert" challenge, wasn't it now? lol

They definitely should have made it so that some AI went all the way, while some pitted, and used different tires. I hate when they put and I have a 1min lead :/

Won by over a minute on the 'Ring using my trusty 458 on RS tires. 20% rain on 2 of the 3 laps.

Thanks. Would you mind trying the other cars and giving me an opinion?

I used the LP 560 on the Nurb. I finished 3rd and 4th. I like using it it's the same one I used to win the Lambo seasonals. I can't figure out what tire to use for this race though. Do you stick with intermediates or do you try to pit?

I use softs unless it's over 30-40%. So I went all the way and won by over a minute

That's what I did... took the regular C6, added customisable tranny, suspension and LSD, and tuned it. The race is really easy to win - you'd kill it in a stock GTR, never mind one tuned to 600ppts.

We don't hear much buzz about Vette's over here... It's more an age thing ;)

The reason this all started was because some people couldn't stand the fact that someone else has a differing opinion, and couldn't ignore it for some reason. Sure, I may have come off sort of whiny, but you guys could have just ignored me.

No, it was fine until you made this ridiculous statement:

I think that this is perfect payback for those who force others to not be able to play however they want. This should show that SRF is not bad.

Audi R8 4.2 FSI R tronic '07, stuck with racing softs from the start, the track dried out pretty quickly, won by over a minute without pitting.

When I ran it the track started out at 20% wet, started to dry then rained again and got up to 33%.

Did the Spa 700PP race, was good fun. Used the Peugeot 908, just pushed up a little to meet the required PP level. I started on Racing Softs, making up practically all of the gap by the end of the third lap. Then I pitted, stuck on some Intermediates, and the rest was plain sailing really. That tactic seemed to work for me anyway.

Corvette time trial is excellent, good to have a stock car with no tuning TT finally 👍

Your setups were great on the first two races, I easily one each one of them and I used to second setup for another seasonal too 👍

Yes, and my opinion is that you're a joke. So take your own advice, and learn to stand that we have differing opinions, or ignore it. :)

Tried running RS in the Spa race but it got too wet and switched to inters.

The C7 Prototype TT was a bit trickier. Messed up a couple times in the first few sectors getting used to the car and then put in a 7.44 driving pretty conservative.

Still, I had no trouble beating the events due to the SRF. Pretty much negates the fact that it's raining. Far too much grip considering I only use ABS 1 for aids.

Even if you could turn SRF off, or place a Racing Hard tyre restrictment, you could still measure your lead in minutes. Not too sure why it says an estimated 30 minutes to complete, when I'm sure I ran Suzuki in under 20. I don't think even the worst of drivers would take 10 minutes extra, and they definitely wouldn't be anywhere close to winning with that sort of time.

Agreed, "Expert Level" - my arse!
I make no claims to being a particularly spectacular driver but even I managed to finish Suzuka in 21 minutes, despite several offs and numerous more penalties for inadvertently sliding off the outside of a few corners. (Used the Lexus Petronas)

Spa I managed to lap every single car except the guy in 2nd. Intermediate tyres for the most part but panicked on lap 8 and pitted for full wets when it hit 84% wet. (Used an R35 GTR TC)

Okay, I struggled a little with the Nurburgring one, I don't really use the circuit for anything so my experience/ knowledge of the track at racing speeds is limited at best. Even still, I managed to lead the pack just after the flatout section just before the main straight. Played it safe and used inters from the start, I now realise this was a big mistake. (Used the R390 Road car at 501bhp, no NA engine tuning added)

I made a video covering all these races and which cars I used etc. Might help anyone who is having difficulty out.

OMG, this thread has gone awful.
I came here looking for info about how people did this seasonal... and found nothing but a flame war about driving aids.
For pity's sake, don't feed the trolls.

Got a Plymouth Superbird as my 1,000 Ticket for the Nurburgring Time Trial. That's real helpful.

That's funny. :) Though I always get race car type cars from 1000 tickets. And others seem to get cars I would want.

Now seriously, can someone post on my profile page visitor messages a usable strategy for Suzuka? (Bearing in mind I rarely use GT500 cars, or anything in the racing car categories, so I'm kinda clueless here.) So I don't have to wade through this thread anymore? THANK YOU! :D

On the first couple pages there are some great setups that I used and I easily won.

I used the intermediate throughout and only had to slow down when it starting with heavy rain but I was way out front so it was no problem.
