NOTES:
This car is very quick. It is very nice on tires, allowing softs to easily last the whole race. Also, it is very good and easy to drive in the dry as well as the wet. Won the race by 24sec first try, so this should make the race no problem 👍
Eh? SRF makes the cars easier to drive and reduces lap times![]()
IMHO...I think of SRF as strictly a handicap. Think of it in terms of golf. The handicap system used in that sport has never been considered cheating, it's just a way to level out the field. But I agree that it should always be an option.
Get lost.
If some people are not as good don't pan them for it.
It must be so amazing to be you.
Idiot.
GT 500: Suzuka Circuit / 10 Laps
Bought a Nismo GT-R.
The cars start half a lap in front.
You have no way of even catching the 15th car.
Then there are penalties for shortcuts, so all the fun is taken out.
What a joke, I won't be competing, as they say on Dragon's Den...
I. AM. OUT.
Shoe67I had an AI ram me, and it gave me a penalty. They drove right into my bumper, and I got a penalty. Ramming penalty needs some reconstruction.

I think he's just pointing out that the claim that "You have no way of even catching the 15th car" is utter rubbish. You seemed to be complaining that the event was impossible for anyone to win, and that PD made it too hard.
Sorry, I was under the impression that an unfair advantage over your competition was the definition of cheating.
If you want to get better, do the race the right way. Practice driving in the rain, learn the braking points and how they change. If you can't beat this challenge before it ends, tough luck. It's supposed to be a challenge. You're not going to miss out on any exclusive content. There's no excuse for whining.
I TWO wheels off, and it gave me a penalty?
....Then came Spa. Used the Audi R8 Team Playstation. The track was only 30% wet and sunny, so I was about to use racing slicks when I saw Argon's post. Glad I put on intermediates, because it started to rain a couple laps in. Thanks for the tip, Argon. 👍 The AI was dreadfully slow in the rain. Passed the leader coming out of the chicane at the end of lap 2. They all decided to come in to pit around laps 5-7 for rain tires. I stayed on my intermediates throughout the race. Got kinda dicey on laps 7 and 8, as the track was very slick. Then the sun came out, the track dried, and it was much more manageable. The computer cars were still painfully slow. Lapped all the way up to 2nd place. One more lap and I would have had him.
Not for me it doesn't!
I couldn't slide into corners with oversteer and late braking at all because every time i would try to correct it/point the nose where i needed it, the SRF would do it at the same time as me, causing my correction to become an over-correction.
Every time i slip i correct it subconsciously without thinking. When SRF is on, my instinctive correction becomes unnecessary. The result is an unsalvagable fish-tail.
Instead, i had to try to hurry up while limiting myself to a snail's pace, tentatively trying not to slip in the slightest. I wasn't able to drive how i wanted to because that stupid SRF kept stuffing me up. I would've been much faster, had i been able to drive how i usually do.
At least for me anyway, SRF makes it harder, not easier!
Then you need to change you style.
Late braking and sliding the car in to the corners is not a fast way to lap unless you have very good car control... which clearly you don't or you wouldn't be struggling with what is one of the easiest seasonals there's been.
I went back and re-ran these this morning. No wheel - just used the pad to see if that made it any harder. Still simple even in cars with no tuning and PPts well under the regs.
