Anybody planning on making any life changes starting midnight, Tuesday? I got a couple... I'd like to loose 15 lbs by June and quit smoking... that is, be an ex-smoker by the end of the year.

Good luck.

I haven't made any yet, I might cut back on sports a bit and focus on school more...

Nope, I'm perfect. :D

Actually, to be honest, I haven't given it any thought at all... I really don't care for the idea of one set date to make improvements to oneself, but rather to be constantly improving. ;)

Then again, maybe I'll have to promise myself not to be on the computer so much...

if i didn't already know i was going to forget any resolution i made after January 8th, i'd try and stop criticizing people so much and work on my incessant negativity.

One nice thing about a calendar is that we can schedule things, events, decisions, etc. It gives it a sort of ritualistic aspect, which highlights it's importance, makes it stand out more than other, more mundane things.

That is my New Year's resolution too.

Paying a little bit more attention to my school work.

me too.

I tend to not make promises I can't keep. :D

naa...I'll try to do better in school and get a job...

My new years resolution is to try and ask this girl at school out on a date.. Heh, i havent had the guts to yet. :\

Good luck.

That's got to be one of the best feelings in the world... when you finally ask a girl out and she says yes. Talk about cloud nine.

I can remember practically skipping home, giggling like a little kid a couple times.

My resolutions are to get in better shape (I just got a membership at a gym tonight..woohoo) and stop being such a rude smartass. The latter will be the tougher of the two.

Not really any resolutions this year - just to run the Sydney Marathon in September '03, so I guess to acheive that goal I need to resolve to stick to my training program for the new year.

Maybe cut my drinking back a bit. That's about it.

I need to do better in school. And tatinee...what do you look like? I think us GTP members can determine whether or not you need to go to a gym or not!!

My resolutions are crap. I can say that I'm gonna make Varsity Lacrosse and get straight A's on my report card but it probably won't happen. I already have the latter and I'm pretty sure that I'll make JV, so I've already completed most of them. "Set you're goals low but make sure you reach them."(don't pay any attention to that)

Jeebers, you're a rude smartass? Honestly, the things some people hide of themselves when they're online! ;)

Me too, though it will be hard trying to shift some weight and stop smoking at the same time :(

I'm going to try my best though :)

Well I came short on last years resolutions. I was 6 workouts short of my 240 goal. This year I will make it.
#2 will be spend more time with my son away from the PS2 and XBox. He is going to start lifting weights with me this year.(that will be cool to work out with him)
That's his choice by the way and not mine.
#3 Get more alone time with my Wife.

Good luck to everyone in the New Year .

The old quit smoking, eh? Well, my dad has quit smoking at least 15 times this year. And now he just tells me that cigares don't count! :D

Anyway, good luck! My mom however, did succesfully quit smoking a few years ago. :)

Well - good luck.

If you need any motivation to stop smoking, let me know.

I think I have a couple.

Focus on school a hell of a lot more, get my GPA a bit higher. (3.1 right now)

Find a job that gets me more involved in learning and helping in the design process.

Look into opening a Small Bussinees, with serious intent.

True. I didn't think of it at first. Well, it's fairly obvious which is more important.

*hangs head in shame* Yes, I have an attitude problem and I think the world revolves around me. Now you all know! *runs away crying* :)

I've resolved myself to exercising more, and eating less. I'd love to quit drinking, by it's an unfortunate side effect of the business I'm in. The "must socialize" and "must pleae" the client aspect. I will however cut my non-business related drinking to nil.

I'll note the "shift the weight around" that other have. Us fat americans... ;)

Spend considerable more time with the wife, and get her a 60 gallon reef tank.

As a final note, I'm prepared to take my Licensing exm, so that's the final resolution. Now to find someone to hound me about it.

Tatinee, we all know that's not Gwen, it's a picture of you. We shall forever see it that way.
