Kaz has confirmed on Twitter that the next GT5 patch update will be near Christmas:

"Kaz_Yamauchi 山内 一典
Thanks to everyone for the messages. One year goes by quick. The next update is in the latter part of Dec., near Christmas. #GT5"

Expected content:

- the Gran Turismo Trophy winning car (Chevrolet Camaro) to be added
- the next DLC (Kaz confirmed approximately every two months, so next set is due in December).
- ??

Hopefully some more tracks and premium models will also be included...

 Gotta love that Chevy Camaro.. and yes, I'm hoping for some more cars and maybe tracks if it's possible. New cars though, I don't know. Maybe we'll see more of those TC cars in that racing car DLC pack.

More DLC, what do they think I am, made of money. Well I suppose I should be grateful.

Great news! Hope for some new tracks!!!!!!!

I highly doubt the Camaro this soon, maybe the other Camaro that won the year before it though.

Is this "expected" content just "I wish this would be in the game" content?

The Camaro has been confirmed for GT5 and will be released sometime in 2012.

HOLY S**T!!!!!!!! I love my Camaros :D :D :D :D :D Can you tell I'm just a wee bit happy?

I'd like to see more TC and LM versions but you know they really should dump a Drift Car pack for chits and giggles...........................and maybe a Stealth Car Pack!! that should cover it for the next three or four car pak updates...............

Source/link?

I highly doubt that this will make it into the game, and can't remember seeing an official statement.

Kaz and schedule do not belong together..

The Sema winning 73 Camaro will not be in the december update...

I have read the articles before, I did skim trough the text again at first, double checked after the answers. Should have made this clear in first post.

However, there is no place where it is mentioned that this car is making it into gt5, and certainly not in 2012.

In case anybody else cares, this is the best proof for the car making it into GT5 that I could find, from IGN's interview:

Kazunori Yamauchi: "Of course we're working on GT6 already and I think what really will be the separating factor is something that we can't update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6. Things that we can provide through DLC we will, so that's really the market difference."

If you haven't noticed December is this year (2011) not 2012. You just backed up my post that it is highly unlikely to be in the december update but I understand, people just love to try to start arguments online.

Did he confirm the "family package" for the DLC? I think not...

DLC for December 2011 is more accurate.
DLC for December 2012 wouldn't fly as according to the Mayan calendar the world ends in Dec 2012....hehe

"The interesting aspect of this event is that gamers will be able to drive a virtual version of that very Camaro next year. A team of developers from Polyphony Digital will fly to Pozzi’s home and take her car through the full gamut of photos, sound capture and video capture so that the real vehicle can be transferred into Gran Turismo 5. So far, seven of the eight previous winning vehicles have been released in a GT console game. But with the advent of DLC, Yamauchi said it’s now even easier for his team to release winning vehicles directly to gamers. The Camaro is expected to be released in 2012."

For some reason, Jordan didn't source how he got the information for this

Maybe he finds my name stupid and immature? Ehhh...

I really don't think he was trying to be anal. It SEEMS like he was just saying it.
