GT3 Drift Phenomenon: Headstrong

My apologies for clogging up 19xx's server, I'll take it down if you need me too bro. I've only got 2 things on your server right now, this vid, and the original Phenomenon vid. Thanks for the hosting :)

dl dl dl dl... music better be good...whats with those titles.. bizarreness.. Good selection of cars... some sloppyness but some wowness. GJ

Downloading............................62%...................80%.................95%.............................Download complete..................watching now.......................Ok, well, I must admit that I expected more from you. Some of the drifts were very good, and then the other half was kinda sloppy. Using a wheel, I would imagine your drifts should look a lot smoother. However, some of the RX7 clips were quite good (good angle, entry and exit). When are you going to get a capture card? I bought mine for $160, and it was the best $160 I have ever spent.;)

alot of those clips were just, um, kinda filler clips, stuff from like a month ago, the RX-7 and some of the 240SX and Sivlia clips were newer, but alot were older clips, thats why they are sloppy, also, the one where the 240 goes to the left throught he hairpin, that late entry was done on purpose, I was late-apex drifting. Also, alot of lines that may appear to be off, are because I was setting up a link or something. But some of them, just suck... lol.

tell you guys what, if you want, I will go out and make more new clips of bad-ass drifts to take up the space of the bad ones. On some different tracks too. ITs up to you guys. Yes or No?

Yes please do. Furthermore, I can tell when a drift is off, and when it has a purpose. You didn't link a lot of turns that are possible, but I'll wait till I see the revised version, to make any more comments about that.

I think it would deffinately be in your interest to revise the vid, just so you have a better vid, for your collection.

BTW, the music sucks IMO, but it fits with your editing, so take from that, what you will.;)

I know you did not just diss Trapt, u DIE!!

And which corners are saying I should have linked? Cuz I kinda pride myself in my ability to link corners, so just tell me which ones and I'll go link them if I can.

Well, I'm downloading the vid now so I'll put in my two cents when it's done.

Yes I did dis Trapt. I personally like to listen to talented artists. :D

About the corners: You didn't link turn 3, 4, 5, on Apricot Hill.
You missed some link opportunities on Trial Mountain (can't remember the turn #'s). I'm sure there are more, but I don't have the vid anymore, so I can't check. I think you have the ability to link these, and other turns, but you just might have not noticed the opportunities. I am looking forward to your revised vid, and if you need any help with finding cool link opportunities, PM me, and I will show you where there is some great link potential.;)

Oh okay, sorry about that then.

Oh yeah, I got somethin for ya when I get back. You'll like it. Lets just say that every Trueno needs one.

Oh and I just got back from drifting over at Nago circuit, then we hit the mountain areas. Oh that was so much fun, I finally got to put my S13 through the gauntlet before selling it. I had no idea that S13s slid so well IRL. Oh man, I want one back in the states so bad now. I can't wait until I get there. Yeah, I'm like soooo good at drifting with this car, me and Terry held a drift that lasted for at least 100m and it wasn't any shallow curve it was a nice gradual one (increases in depth as it curves).

Then we hit this bridge and oh man, talk about fun, it had some water on it so we all hit it hard and went sliding almost totally out of control but it was SOOOO COOL because we all regained it and slid like 6 abreast.

Oh OH OHHHH! and then we hit the mountains. LOL! Let me tell you, there wa this hot as 24 year old drifter chick, she drove a blue 180 and man let me TELL YOU! She was good, she made a lot of us look bad. Her and I went out there tandem through the togues and then we went over to Cocos for some curry and a drink. LOL! Shes cool but I have to leave her here.

After that we headed back to the mountains for some extreme sideways action.

There was this freakin EVO 8 that was pullin angles so HOT that I thought I was watching at GT3 replay and then one of my boys took his girlfriends Suzuki Kei (FF) and slid it around this turn, and IMO, FF drifting looks pretty tight in real life.

The only downer about tonight was that it was SOOOO COLD. Not like NY cold but it was cold enough to want to stay in your car all the time.

We toughed it out though. We went up and down those mountains for hours and hours. WOOO!

Then we decided to call it a night and leave our Japanese friends behind because we all have to work in the morning. We totally killed it on the way back though. Theres this intersection over by Camp Kinser and the cops are usually there waiting for us, but for some reason they weren't there tonight so we slid there for a while. Most of us took drifts that were so extreme that we totally lost it before even making it across the first lane. LMAO!!! That's like 10 feet!!!

I lost a good drift because the guy in front of me chickened out after we held this LOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG drift. But no excuses, I gummed up too so it's no big deal. He apologized for it and then we both went back on our way.

After the Kinser intersections we took the long way home drifting up and down Naha and all the way to Ishikawa and Nago, we found these drifters doing donuts in some huge parking lot over by my boy's house so we joined in on the fun. That S13 has some tight donut control to have stock suspension.

After the donut and burnout sessions. We broke lose and headed back towards base pullin on each other and street racing like it was legal.

We reached base and one of my dumbass buddies pulls this insane move:
He gets ready to turn left to get into the gate, quickly snaps his S14 back to the right, does a donut and then speeds off. Those of us who didn't enter the base yet turned around and followed him. I had to drive all the way around the security hut at the gate in order to follow them.

All we wound up doing was cutting in and out of traffic for about a mile or two then we drifted this narrow ass street for a good 200 or 300 meters and for a total of about 4 turns.

After that we finally headed back to base and went over to this one guys barracks, sat back and shared some beers.

A really good night over all.

Just thouht I'd share that.

PROPS
FF?? and every 86 need a turbo or at least a tight driver

i know i'm a little late but... WHAT UP NIGHT MAJIK!!!!!!!!!

sorry...the host took it down... LOL... damn it now i'm hostless... weLL peace!

if its under 15 mb upload it to 19xx site or shadow drifters site

hey i need your opinion guys, one by mettallica or master of puppets? for my next video?

preformed by me.

or any other suggestions?

mettallica

If you wanna use metal, use something like Christ Denied by Deicide but more people here appreciate hip-hop beat/scratch DJing or even that queer Japanese bee-bop stuff they play in the Initial-D anime.

Metallica is old.

Just say no to Metallica.

this is sort of unrelated but.. I "obtained" vegas video 4 and pinnacle studio 8 so i can release another vid.. i think..

actually, I linked turns 1,2,3,4,5, and 6, completely, without gaining grip, and I can do it quite reliably. I think you missed something, or maybe I put the wrong clip in there. I can link turns 1-6, and if the darn straight between 6 and 7 wasnt so long (the really long left hand turn), I could link it in there too, and I did it once.

Woah, what the heck did I just walk into, I'm reading and all but Im so lost, maybe I should rest:lol:

Anyhoo, Bry, Team Redemption is having a meet on the first. Just wondering if you will be able to attend. We'll pretty much just be cruising the strip looking for trouble then we'll head over to Philly for the night drags and get some props at the track.

I figured if I told you know you'd be ready by then, if not oh well. It's cool. NMD (real life) is also having a meet on valentines day. The location has yet to be determined but it will definitley be right in the center of the country, probably north-central US.

I hope that you're able to attend because I've bragged to all my boys about you and they can't wait to see a real Trueno.

By the by, do you want some Trueno badges for your car. Because I see this little 86 outside of this window and it has Trueno badges just waiting to be pulled off. LMAO. Just kidding.

But yeah, that's the two events that are going on. I really want you at both of them but if you can't make it then I'll understand. I'll just send video. Heh!

PROPS!
Dave

hmmm, I dont have my fekking license yet o_0 and my 86 isnt insured or anything atm either, lol. I can make both meets, but I dont think my 86 will make the one on the 1st, I should be able to make it for the one on the 14th tho, by then I'll have my license and my car will be insured etc etc.

If I can get down to the DMV and get my registration on my 86 renewed, and u dont mind driving an un-insured car, then you are welcome to take it on the 1st ^-^ lol. The engine is going bye-bye in a few months anyways, so I dont care about putting alot of miles on it. By the 14th, I'll also have my konigs :) hehe.

But dun forget its an SR5 still, so it doesnt have a 4A-GE yet, thats not coming till march or april, and I'm ordering the Hicomp red-top 4A-GE, because it has 7 ribs, as opposed to the three that was in the AE86. Its the engine from the AE92 (90-91 Corolla). After that I still need the tranny, driveshaft, and rear end, and then I an going to order a TRD dual plate clutch, cusco 1.5way lsd and lightweight flywheel. And then once I have the money, the engine is going to be taken completely apart and rebuilt with low-compression parts and a custom turbo-kit will be installed, as well as a new dual exhaust system (one for exhaust, one for waste-gate from the turbo).

All of this is eventually going to be sitting on a full coil-over conversion from Techno-Toy tuning, with cusco strut bars, TRD Bushings, Cusco Pillow upper-ball mounts, and a 300mm cross/vented brake kit with Konig Rewind 14x7 wheels.

The body is going to consist of a full Jubiride kit with a J-Blood type 2 vented hood. The paint will be re-done, but kept black, just a very deep quad-level paint job you can stare into for days at a time. The ofsett on the Konig's is -9 as it is, and I am ordering 4 7mm spacers to push them out right to the edge. When its time and I put the Jubiride kit on there, part of the kit is fender flares that area bout an inch wider than the stock flares, so I'll be ordering more spacers to push them wheels WAY out there and get the widest track possible. In short, this thing is gonna sound like a ***** in heat and run like one too.

But, all of this isnt going to be done for quite a while, because after the wheels, its still going to cost me about $7,700 more, hehe. But once I get my license, its all good, because I have a really nice job lined up where my aunt works keeping their entire computer system working (mega dolla!), so its all good :)

ok, I knew I put one in there from AH. Silvia Drifter, go to 2:35 in the vid, you can see me doin it in the silvia, there's a cut from the straight between 2 and 3 cuz of my cam (only does 12 second clips), and it kinda cuts off the last part of turn 5, but I continued the drift all the way through turn 6 and almost linked 7 in there. Its really hard to catch links on my ****ty cam. When I go hang out with Shadow Drifter I'll prolly use his setup to record some nice linkage.

Well, you did put the wrong clips in then, because you did not link those in the vid. I do not miss things like that, when it comes to drifting. I've been doing it too long, and I've seen so too many video's to miss something that obvious. Furthermore, you missed a lot of link opportunities in the vid, not just those turns. That's just the only ones that I knew the turn #'s for. I hope your revised version fixes these things, becaue if it does it will be a very good vid. ;)
