Nightmare Corner

I agree wholeheartedly that Schwedenkreuz is perhaps the most challenging bit of the NRing. It is pretty useful for judging the aerodynamics qualities of your car though, most production cars you need to brake when approaching what seems a gentle left, most racing cars you can ease off the accelerator and glide through. The Escudo is such a good car that you can continue to accelerate into it at 200mph.

I struggle with the right hander into Casino Square on Monaco, I agree with everyone about Fuji too. I can sometimes nail the second and third last corners but I have never had the impression I have taken that last corner properly. Cape Ring has a few tough bits, one in particular is maybe just before the half way point and you have a right hander that takes you on to a longish straight leading to the square shaped corners (this is not the start finish straight but the other one) Anyway you think you have a good line and then you accelerate out of it too quickly and as it is pretty narrow you run off onto the grass. Regularly.

A turn I have not seen mentioned on here surprisingly but has been bewildering me for a number of versions of the game is on Tokyo. It is the fast flowing one that veers left on the bridge section, just before the tight right hander so technically the second from last full turn of the game. The hundreds of time I have not turned quickly enough and battered the barrier....

The Carousel at the nurburgring

I either take it at a crawl, spin out, or go over the edge of the banking...

I swear will never be able to take it correctly :grumpy:

The long left turn on the Nurburgring. The one before the sharp right which goes under the Yokohama signs. Gets me every time.

Just about every corner on Nurb GP. Those camber changes kill me. Either I understeer like an ass or I enter too slow. I never touch the clipping point, I miss the apex like every time, the Schumacher S I can never get it right... Arghhh

Nurb GP is probably the most challenging track in the game for me right now, mostly because of the multiple decreasing radius corners coupled with big elevation changes.

And for some reason, the indy road course annoys the hell out of me. I now secretly know why F1 left that place :sly:

The last turn at Fuji leading onto the straight. I swear that entire track is 👎, but Im glad to hear other people have trouble with it as well.

Wasnt there an F1 race where most of the field crashed at the banked left hander coming onto the straight because the tires couldnt handle the G-forces? Most of the people in the stands demanded refunds haha.

EDIT: I should've combined my posts. Sorry, before somebody complains

The worst for me was the final corner of Tsukuba circuit in the wet. Frustratingly slow and twitchy. That was in gt4. Not sure if u can do Tsukuba in the wet in gt5 but that bend is nowhere near as hard in the dry

To bad there is no wet Tsukuba in GT5. It was also at the GT PSP. But we got enough others ^^.

 I think we all have to agree that every Ring circuit is a tough nutt to crack. Every one of them has killer corners.

Depends on the car, but my most consistant problem is on the Ford-Kurve in the Nurburgring 24H with the FGT... that right hander seems to skip me into the dirt on the outside if I'm going what feels like the "right" speed.

If you practice a lot, it isnt a problem. But if you drive it less then once a week like me, you shouldnt expect a flawless lap time. I even fail at the 2nd corner from the Nurburgring 24H layout because I think it has the same start as the Nurburgring GP. It doesnt.... XD

the fastest slow quick corner

The department of redundancy department called:
They're unsure whether they're needed or not.
...And I agree with them. :P

I'd have to say the super easy corner at the end of the huge straight on Nordshliefe. I always end up mowing the grass there.

Side note: I know I spelled "Nordshliefe" wrong, but Firefox only offered "Riefenstahl" as a replacement. LOL (don't even know what that is.)

Nope, they are not needed, however the contradiction corporation has asked to assist those in need.:dopey:

Last 3 at Fuji.

Never had problems with these until GT5, but turns 2-5 at Laguna Seca. For whatever reason I always brake in the wrong spot.

Turn 1 Daytona Road.

The final corner of Suzuka in a high powered rear drive car. (Sounds weird but I always hit the gas way too hard trying to get speed for the straight and I smoke the rears.

Chicane at Monaco.

All of Madrid.

theres a few on cape ring that are 180 degree hairpins, always go too fast for them and end up sliding around like im ken block

The fast left halfway round Tokyo R246, the one where the road dips and there are trees either side of the track. It's just after a fast right curve, then the elevation changes and the track dips down before sweeping to the left. I always hit the wall!

forgot about that one

I know it's a easy corner but I always mess up on the first Lesmo on Monza. I always turn in too early for it and spin out by hitting the bit of barrier that sticks out. It's so annoying because I love Monza and especially the Lesmo's but I just can't get them right!

It may sound silly on such a small track, but theoutside turn on Tsukuba. I hate it. No matter which car i use, i always late brake too much and go into the sand.

Definitely the Antoniusbuche (I think that's the name) on the Nordschleife. That is, I think that's the wide turn in the long straight around the end). I always seem to misjudge the speed there. And then I feel stupid as it's really a pretty easy turn.

And the last turn on the Nurburgring GP (Coca-Cola-Kurve) before the long straight. Like the OP said. Always go wide...
