Just a rough lap to get the trophy for beating the real 7.29 time

Uploaded in 720P and I'm trying a different codec

and you have to use Sport hard tyres :)

It's quite easy tbh if you know the track , i made a mistake and still got it in 7.26

The last posted vid was a quick time, but looking at the lines taken entering corners and speed it looks like the tyres used werent sports: hard. Just looked liked the car was holding its line too well for that grade of tyre.

definitely the hard tire. those who have run similar or better times can attest to that. :)

the key is to listen to your tires. once u break traction and the tires start squealing...well, your car will plow and u will end up in the wall. there are a few corners where u can slide your car through the turn at a high speed but u sacrifice exit speed.

On a track like the ring, i don't think anyone is gonna be listening for tyre squeal haha. I got the trophy last night with a 1:27:xxx but Im all about a clean line, and getting as close to a perfect lap, not big crazy entries like your entry into Aremberg, although it was quite spectacular to see how well you controlled that coming down from such a high speed without going off.

The reason I was suspiscious was that I saw a couple of corners you did, and the speed in which you entered seemed to be far greater than what i take the corner at and you car seemed to hold a lot better than mine.

If you say it hard tires then I'll take your word for it, will be a very hard time for me to beat with a stock gt-r. Good work.

Lol, thanks Factory. It has become a trademark. =P

@Jap_Taxi, a 7:27 is extremely quick, especially if u are keeping it clean. i was all over the curbs in my video. i want to go back and clean it up, but im coming from a game where i relied on the "braking line" so for me to have it off in GT5 makes me far less consistent.

btw, does anyone know how to view other peoples' replay files? i got the replay from Manuelos, extracted it, and put it on a USB drive, but dont know how to load it onto my PS3. can anyone help?

go to the usb stick inside the saved data menu in the playstation XMB. press triangle > display all navigate to the replay file and triangle again and select copy. From memory thats how you did it.

BTW. did you use DS3 or wheel?

i couldnt get it to work. when i push triangle it only shows "Information" and does not have "Display All". maybe the files i downloaded are not correct replay files?

anyway, i got down to a 7:20.669 and my limit is probably a 7:19.0. im really anxious to see what the elite gt5 guys are running. where are those dang leaderboards!?

i found out what the problem was. u need to save the replay in PS3>SAVEDATA on the USB drive. the replay file is in a folder named with a long series of letters and numbers.

different problem now...

i have the replay in my saved game files on my ps3, but when i look at Manuelos' replay file it says (Updated Version) next to it and i am unable to import it in gt5. is this because i have the US version of the game and he has something different?

in 6:58 u changed views , one of them is side view of the driver ...

how its done ?
thanx

Keep pressing Select during the replay, it will cycle through all the views, each car has two different interior angles and only Premium cars have interior views.

Have you done all the updates for gt5?

yep, i have the latest update.

anyway, here is my new best lap...7:18.771. this time i show that i am indeed using sport hard tires! =P

check out the two ridiculous drifts early on. between that, and missing a ton of apexes, there is a lot of time left out there. i wouldnt doubt that 7:15's are possible.
