Just sent this (unmodified) through Route X Speed Testing and it clocked 0-100 kph in 2.2 seconds.

Is this a joke? I can't see how this is any more realistic than say the X2011 car.

I agree. You need to De-tune it a lot so it resembles more so a GT car. Otherwise it's just another Mclaren Racecar which is completely overpowered for what it's supposed to be..
PD/Nissan bias anyone?

It's 4WD (Which I think makes it unrealistic, since GT would be RWD), what do you expect? And also take it's lower weight.

Well, it is a fictional race car.

More Outrun than "The Real Driving Simulator" then.

Well, it is a Skyline. AWD cars always reinforce a marvelous launch and acceleration. I guess the TC version tries to squeeze even more performance via RM parts.

You should see how a tuned GT-R moves on the drag strip on Youtube. It quite dead on to how Godzilla is. As technicolors has mention Skylines has the most tricked out AWD in the world.

I've read about tuner versions hitting 0-60 times of about 2.5 seconds. So this sounds about right to me. Unless you were on comfort soft tires.

I don't think that gear box would be accepted in any major racing competition though. Same goes for driving assists that make the car what it is.

Well the stock GT-R 2012 hit 100kph in 2.8 secs IRL so no its not unbelievable!

5:49s at 700pp on the Nordschleife, no Aids. (practice mode, real grip, but it's just a game.) (and raised suspension)
I don't know if I am used to the feel of 500pp racing, but since a few updates ago, this car seems to have received a hyper adrenaline boost, if feels like it reaches it's top speed of 350 km/hr in absolutely no time whatsoever.

I used it in the 650PP SSR5 race and hit I think 6:50 on It. I tryed SSRX with It fully tuned and got 0-10 In about 2.265 sec's

It's pretty realistic. Its not exactly made to abide any rules. And considering the stock GT-R can go from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, no surprise there.

Its a great car i love it. You wont get a high top speed tho unless u compromise the acceleration. It leaves LM monsters standing on the grid. Ideal for tighter tracks but not the GP ones.

First of all, what setting did you use ? Did you use SRF by chance ?
Then secondary as someone else said, the new GT-R is doing 2.8sec, so how can you say that a race car taken from it can't do 2.2 sec ? The TC car got racing hard tyre (slick tyre) which give a lot more boost. Also I just tried it because I was curious and I did with a stock GT-R35 TC with no aids, 2.514sec. How exactly did you do your 2.2 sec ?

Yeah, I don't get what you guys are complaining about, yeah its ridiculous, but listen: ITS A GT-R! Get with the program, lol. Yeah, the only statement I agree with right now is that it should be RWD. That is the only unfair thing I see about this car. Its a GT-R, its gonna be amazing. Just like the yellowhat/calsonic/woodone, etc. RWD is something it should have been. TC GTR +4WD= Ridiculous..

Im sick of all the fake cars in GT5, the more I read about it... All those cars (X2010, formula GT, FTO LM edition, Mazda RX7 LM edition, these new DLC touring cars, etc etc, they are all fake!
They can trow out all these cars, since they do not exist in any way after all. That's my opinion anyway...

haha, exactly. It's not stock, 2.5 is stock^

Besides we will all see how a GT-R with RWD will do. Watch the FIA GT3 races to find out how.

Comfort Hard tyres is an experience. You get the full range of driving characteristics with them fitted!

They are running in SuperGT for 3-4 years now ^^.

Ok the GT3 one is closer to the stock one tho^^

Lol exactly.

"whah whah this is unrealistic because the real life made up car wouldn't behave like this"

If it was based on a real racing series or a real car that's racing around somewhere, that was slower, then you'd have a valid argument OP. But you don't, so...

I must agree, the R35GT is an unrealistic beast even stock unmodified...

Yes. The Super GT run a NISMO V-8 in the cars. Nissan actually responded to me on Facebook, and said that the GT3 will be keeping the VR38DETT in it. I have no idea about the rest but its all race spec.

I have mine tuned for 650 pp and prefer this over the 650 pp 2J, which is even more unrealistic. It seemed better to have a hot rodded car pushed rather than a detuned CanAm car.

Most of them are based on real cars. So they do exist in some way. Why they didn't make those specific cars in the first place? Don't know.

I'm not seeing the problem, honestly. The current GT-R can just break into the 2 second to 60. Add a hundred horsepower, strip a thousand pounds and put race tires on it like the TC does, and low 2's should easily be achievable.

They originally ran the Nissan Titan engine in the GT-R GT1-spec car, too. The GT3-spec car is actually the first one Nissan has raced with the original engine.

As EliteDreamer said above, at least some of them (XJ220 LM, R32 TC, R33 TC, Zonda LM, probably some others) are pretty much just real life cars called something different and with some (in some cases very minor) specification differences, but I do see your point.

I used racing softs (as i do with all cars on route x), changed oil (I think), no other modifications.

I'm quite sure it was 2.2 secs, it's the fastest car to 100 kmh I've tested. But I'm not with my PS3 right now so can't confirm tah tI'm not read it wrong. But surely someone can verify the time, it should be the same for everyone.

Stripping off a second if you're getting to 100kmh in 5 seconds is "easily achievable".

It's like it's easy to improve your 100m sprint record if you're an unfit and tubby guy. It's not as easy for Usain Bolt to cut a second off his world record time.
