lol, nah, it's a random 4 cylinder AT. I have no idea what model engine it has, but it makes funny noises. I can't laugh at them, though, because they mean my truck is broken.

I hate it when funny things aren't funny.

You'd be surprised what a fresh set of plugs, wires, distributor etc. will do to an old Ford! << and I should know...

Super fast Bronco? you mean it can actually hit 70 on the highway without making that unidentifiable smokey smell? I'm impressed!

I wonder what the kid who hates 4th gen Camaros drives. A Honda Accord maybe? Whatever it is, I'm sure it's ugly (to me) since I love the looks of the 4th gen Camaros and F-birds. :)

70? 70????

I'm lucky if I hit 40!!!

Anyway, I've been thinking about a tune-up for awhile, but it's not worth it. The truck has so many other problems that it's just not practical to continue driving it.

Fun as this discussion is, it's spam for being in this forum. If someone starts one in CARS IN GENERAL, I'll continue partaking. Have fun with the discussion, but don't be shocked when it gets locked. 👍

If I start it, what should I name it???

Just continue it here if you want, I'm done with this topic and don't care if it gets locked. I jsut keep coming back because it keeps emailing me when someone posts and curiousity is getting the best of me.

I respect F-bodies, but I dont like them.

That's weird. My T-Bird also has a small dent in the passenger side!
But my car doesn't sound all that nice... that is until the turbo kicks in! :D

PD why can't you put my car in the game too!?

What year Tbird? I used to have a 91 Tbird 5 liter with heads, cam, and full bolt ons on the spray. I loved that car to death, but it got nailed in a parking lot by some jerk in an eclipse =(. Man I miss that car! No one can ever say anything bad about fords reliability to me, because making 450 WHP on a stock bottom end 5.0 isn't a bad accomplishment ~ I never had a single problem with the car, it took everything and kept ticking....

It can't be an Accord. The Accord never had a "straight 6", only V6s (as far as I know). Maybe a BMW, but he won't say...

Supra's and skylines were both straight sixes (I think...I know supras are...). Hes just another person lieing about his real car, cause hes a fanboi of honda's and knows their just torqueless wonders...

Sounds nice! Too bad it's dead. I have a 1988 T-Bird Turbo Coupe. Only mods so far are a manual boost controller, but I have a '94 Mustang GT coming in the near future :D to use as my daily driver while I turn the Turbo Coupe into a "project car".

Older Z cars had Inline 6's.

That's a possibility.

Skylines were mostly straight-sixes... some of the earlier ones from the 80s had 4-cylinder engines and the newest one, the R35, has a V-6.

I don't know if this is an American-only deal, but you rarely see an instance of someone wanting their Japanese car in the game, or maybe some Euro muscle. It's apparentely another case of an American car fan wanting his/her Detroit Iron. And the people here aren't against you, just that the "is xxxx in GT4 is getting pretty old.

By the way, if you own a 35th Anniversary Camaro, two thumbs up to you.
👍 👍

Lets see, I'm American, and I want my 2001 British Racing Green Special Edition Mazda Miata MX-5 to drive in GT4.

I'll have to make due with a Mazda Roadster 1800 RS ('00) or a Mazda Roadster 1800 RS (NB) ('04) and hope I can get it in BRG, or paint it BRG. ;)

My car is not exactly Detroit Iron :p

Can someone with the Japanese version of the game check something for me? I'd like to know if the 2001 Camaro SS has a red with silver stripes and black decal paint option or if the '97 Camaro Z28 has a white and orange stripe color option. Maybe they just lumped the special editions together? I'd imagine that is a possibility. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the new anniversary Nissan 350Z was in the game, all it is is yellow afterall. It's weird that the '96 Corvette Grand Sport isn't in the game apparently either. Could it just be a paint option on the ZR-1? (Don't give me a lesson about how the Grand Sport was never a ZR-1, I already know, but it's the same body style. :p )

You can do a Search for it, but I recall making a topic called "Daily Driver Impact on GT4." It was a topic about what it was like to have your daily driver in GT4. Some people would probably say "700 cars and my car isn't in the game. Ain't that a b*tch..." my only response is that GT4 can only be as perfect as people say it is. Sometimes, you can't have it all.

Then again, I do think that maybe that 35th Anniversary deal could be in the form of just another plain-jane Camaro (not to say the Camaro is dull. Not at all). In fact, I thought the Camaro was supposed to be a special edition Camaro that has a distinctive color scheme with the white paint and Hugger Orange stripes. Oh, you know something? Maybe you're thinking about the Camaro and Firebird/Trans-Am from 2001 or 2002. I remembered them in a red body with white or silver stripes. That would be the 40th Anniversary model, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, this is what I have, a 2002 35th Anniversary Camaro SS and a 1995 Camaro Z28:

The dash of the Z28 has tinsel on it from the Christmas parade, it isn't white/silver and weird looking, it's actually black. This pic is actually from 2002 I think.

I just think it would be nice to have the anniversay edition in the game since the 30th anniversay edition was in GT, GT2, and GT3. On another topic though, have any of you other Z28 owners ever been a little angry that the Camaros in the past games have never had black roofs? The body-color roof was called the "monochrome" option and it wasn't standard, the black roof, side mirrors, and door handles (not later on for door handles) were black as standard on the Z28. I've always thought the one in the game looked like a V-6. Oh well, I guess you could ignore that if you bought it in black :p.

I feel sorry for those of you with Oldsmobiles and stuff, they really should include those brands of cars in the games. They include crappy non-sports cars like Daihatsu and the lowest levels of Japanese manufacturers, why not some more diverse American brands? The Olds Aurora used to race in the Trans Am class of racing a few years ago, it would be a good choice for the game.

I think so, I'd have to check to be positive but my PS2 isn't hooked up right now. I'm pretty sure you won the 30th anni Z28 by winning one of the American car races or something... Can't remember for sure.

Are you sure you aren't confusing it with the Camaro Race Car?

Very sharp miata, I love that edition. The wood steering wheel and trim is very cool. Nice Camaros there also, Brangeta.👍

Neither one of my cars are in the game either, as far as I can tell:

2004 Mazdaspeed Mx-5, 1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo. I really wanted the Mazdaspeed Mx-5 in the game since it's quite different from other Miatas in real life, but I guess I can survive without it.:guilty:

Yeah, unless it's one of the two you can buy and doesn't say it's the anniversery edition, it's not in GT3. I remember Chevrolet's lineup specifically because it's 3 Camaros and 3 Corvettes:
Camaro Z28
Camaro SS
Camaro [R]
Corvette Grand Sport (C4)
Corvette Z06 (C5)
Corvette C5[R]

(I got my car :D. Not my year, my colour, or my country, but it's more or less the same.)
(CFM:
Fairlady Z 300ZX (Z31) ('83)
Fairlady Z Twin Turbo 2-seater (Z32) ('89)
Close, but not quite. This is the same situation as me.)

I want your Z31:(

Wow some people here have some cool cars. I like the Z and the Mazdaspeed Miata CFM. I don't think either of your cars are in any of the games though. In GT2, there is an A-spec, B-spec, and C-spec Miata you can win in races, but I'm not sure if they are the same body style as your's. I recall the A-spec or B-spec looking like it a little though, the C-spec was a porsche lookalike I think.

Almost forgot... currently in storage for winter:(

Actually, I'm not seriously bothered about not enough American cars. I'm not patriotic with the cars that I use in GT, so I'm not really bothered about having as much or more American cars than Japanese. I can't contribute to daily drivers because I don't have a driver's license. And if I don't have one, I don't have a car. Actually, I couldn't care less if my car was in the game. All I know is that I have a world of cars to choose from in GT4, and any of which to be my dream car. Isn't that what GT is about? I usually think it's about taking a car, modifying it up, and then taking it on the track pwning the rest of the pack. If it's in the game, cool. If not, there are still machines you can make your dream car even if you don't own it in real life.

By the way... I dig those Camaros, Brangeta. Nice to have another Texan reppin' on GTPlanet. By the way, to my knowledge, there is no Anniversary Camaro of any kind in GT3.

I think it is nice to have your car in the game, especially if you don't race your car in real life. I get to play the game and really cut lose and smash into walls when I play the GT games, so I just really want the car in there :D. My insurance is so high, I've rarely been above 70 in either car

I hope in GT5 that PD will allow you to give your cars custom paint jobs which include different types of stripes. I've always wanted a sky blue Camaro, yellow Firebird (if they ever include it), and teal Viper so that would be awesome. I don't think they would need to waste time developing exact stripe designs for cars though. They should just allow you to choose the stripe color, how many stripes, and how far apart they are spaced. I'd be okay with completely vertical Viper-esque stripes.

Oh, but on a side note... PD should send me a special version of GT4 with the roof, side mirrors, and door handles black on the Z28s ;). I can dream can't I?

Next person who posts: "No. There is no dreaming allowed here."
