If we get an iPhone app and can start races with it and then turn off the iPhone, then I would give it a try... Till then my B-Spec will be stay on level 0
Even when GT Anywhere becomes available and if it will supports mobile-browsing - which it should - you'll need to have your PS3 turned on at home in order to manage the game in real-time via internet (Remote Play PS3 functionality).
GTAnywhere (or Remote B-Spec) is not meant to be some kind of "standalone" application. It would be impossible really, without developing some cross-platform application which would have all details regarding your game inside. But it is highly implausible from plethora of reasons.
First would be full access to all in-game assets including your game profile and all game data in order to make it compatible with PS3 game, which would basically mean you need PS3-powered phone in order to manage that.
