If we get an iPhone app and can start races with it and then turn off the iPhone, then I would give it a try... Till then my B-Spec will be stay on level 0

Even when GT Anywhere becomes available and if it will supports mobile-browsing - which it should - you'll need to have your PS3 turned on at home in order to manage the game in real-time via internet (Remote Play PS3 functionality).

GTAnywhere (or Remote B-Spec) is not meant to be some kind of "standalone" application. It would be impossible really, without developing some cross-platform application which would have all details regarding your game inside. But it is highly implausible from plethora of reasons.

First would be full access to all in-game assets including your game profile and all game data in order to make it compatible with PS3 game, which would basically mean you need PS3-powered phone in order to manage that.

No way man ;)
 
Well honestly I would of expected the X1 at 40, but getting the X1 at 35 instead was good enough for me. You would just think there would at least be some kind of message congratulating you on 40 or anything but there is nothing, like as if you never even got to 40.

i'm pretty sure those who actually run b-spec are more dedicated fans than you. because while they are doing things that prevent them from racing (eating, cooking, cleaning, laundry, work, studying), they are STILL playing the game. :crazy:

Yeah thats what i do. if i can still be around the tv enough to see whats going on when i can't actually play it i put on B-Spec.

Even have it on when watching the football. and check it every 20 mins. lol

I guess the last big reward is the 24hour Nurburgring race.
 
The way I look at completing all of and only A-Spec or B-Spec, these on their own make up less that 50% of game completion.

Completion of A-Spec, B-Spec, License & all of the Special Events would get you to 100% of the game, at that point I wonder if there is any reward. :dopey:
 
I love how people think you have to sit and watch b-spec... Just put bob in an overpowered car and let him romp while you watch tv. Check back during a cammercial or something.
 
Can't wait til my B-Spec factory drivers get to level 30 and above.

That's right I called them factory drivers big whoop, wanna fight about it?

You don't do anything in B Spec. I start the race and just turn the TV off. B Spec is an interesting part added to this game. The only point of it is to obtain certain cars. One that is being cloned now anyway.

I would add that it's a risky game to play when you get to the endurance races. I've lost a 9 hour race to a power outtage and then I lost 17 hours worth last night doing another 24hr Le Mans. All when I was signed out of the PSN and got the message about the update. It would not let me sign back in until I did the update.

Well, in order to get 100% game completion you need to do it, so why not do it first and get it out of the way then the rest is all for you =D

Not only that, but you get so many cars and so much money in B-Spec that when you go back to A-Spec you can drive anything you want.
As you can see in my sig, I'm twice as far in B-Spec and all my A-Spec races have been in cars I liked. I never had to compromise because money was tight.

MY only gripe is you can't have at least 2 of them to sub in when you do endurance races. I was sure you were able to do this in GT4, come on PD add this to GT 5 please.

Wait until you get to the endurance runs. You will not be playing anything on your PS3 for weeks if you grind it out. That and the console will run 24/7. After like the 5th day it will start to get to you not being able to play anything. The money is nothing at all to talk about. It pays SO much less then A Spec does ( unless it's changed since the update, been in the races so don't know ). The races are twice as long in every single race vs A Spec too. Just something to think about. So find something else to do in life. Because using the PS3 you will not be, lol.

Yeah, I've already had this issue and I'm only level 22 B-Spec. But I reached level 20 B-Spec in one day :), and while I made a lot of money, etc., I didn't even race one single time that day. I just want to get to the B-Spec endurance levels and I'll only enter those when I'm at work or something like that.

Here's the difference in levels once you get to say 30+. You will sit there for a day in a half to get one level. Then the next level will take you 2 days, next 3 more days, next 4 more days..... You'll be doing the 24 hour races like 4 times by level 37 just to gain 1 level. Then it only goes way up from there ( 6 more times at the 24hr etc, )

That is entirely missing the point. If you love this game you should not be eating, cooking, doing laundry, working or studying. They just get in the way of racing.:sly:

Yup, I'm just glad its nearly over. In another 12 hours I will finish the Nurb 24hr and then no more B-Spec endurance!

You know, I do not understand how the developers (Kaz) thinks this is enjoyment... Grinding out levels over and over just to get there... if you want it this way, make more events, so folks do not have to race over and over same race same circuit or even use super HP class cars just to move on.

Such a crappy game experience IMHO

I know exactly what you mean. I have not played my PS3 since Thursday. I still have to run the 9 hour race 4 more times to reach level 35. Bob is pissed and so is my PS3.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if more A and B spec events are added. If they added at least 20 more long championship events using the neglected tracks then another 5 levels might be OK. Obviously the XP on these events would have to be pretty high

Maybe, yes. But excessive heat is also a big problem. Some fat PS3's, if left on for long periods where ventilation is not what it could be, have been known to fail. This is often down to excessive heat cracking and breaking the solder.

Excessive heat will crack the solder and so will rapid heating and cooling cycles causing the solder to expand and contract.
 
Well if you don't even get anything for hitting level 40 then I really don't care at all. I'll complete each race one time just for the golds and to get the prizes, but other than that I'll only be using B-Spec enduro's to get easy credits while I'm out of the house. 6 days of 24-hour races just to go from level 39 to 40 is absolutely absurd, IMO.


Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Bad game design.

You know what the worst part is? We are using the X1 that we earned at level 35 in these races. That car is so fast you will finish a 24 hour race avg 146 to 150 laps ahead of the next guy. So it is beyond killing everything out there. So even though you will win every race by a very long shot. You still have to sit there for 24 freakin hours, lol.... :dunce:

That and like I was saying above... god help you if something happens to the power at your house, PSN goes down, game freezes, etc. Nothing like loosing hours and hours and hours of game play to get zero.

There is a trophy for level 40 in B-Spec and there is another Trophy for filling up he's career bar to 100% So did you have that second trophy?

I think the B-Spec is a big waste of electricity and waste of my ps3 lifetime 👎

then you will have to pay for the nice cars b-spec brings. enjoy the grind :ouch:
 
When at home awake, I'm racing.
When I'm at home asleep my Bob's are racing.
When I'm at work my Bob's are racing.

Those bastards play more than I do, they should've bought the damn game!

So what I've gleaned from this thread, level 35 is where to stop B spec.
I don't give a rats a@@ about trophy's so once I get the X1 I'm done with it until they give me an update that lets me and my Bob's race together.
