Nop, but you can ask for him from Sony costumer support. This guy is definitely an expert on GT5 and he gets all kinds of insight of the issues Sony has since he works for them.

My cousin is a janitor at PD. He said PD is working on something because there has been a lot of empty coffee cup in the garbage. He's also concern about the staff's health because he also found a lot of Mexican food in the toilet.

I thought he worked at McDonald's? And your a mexican cab rider?

Members are so childish these days I should off just kept my mouth shut.

That's what I said earlier? And don't stoop to the "childish" level. You said your bit, I'm a bit torn whether to believe it or not, but if you're right you're right. End of story.

When you post hearsay from questionable sources, you shouldn't expect people to line up to kiss your ring. Insulting people that aren't genuflecting with poorly constructed sentences and pot shots about working at McDonald's won't help, either.

True, however seeing as he's from CA English might be his second language :D

Nice usage on the genuflecting...Had to look that one up :dunce:

The Taco Bell's kind since he's bias against McDonald's.

Thanks, and English is my fourth language. Portuguese being my first, Italian being second, and Spanish being third.

Here what I got out of someone in the Industry, PD will have to fix it, you will have to wait longer for other content, it would be very unlikely for them to take action against those who are exploiting. Could lose content for a short time.

He is not a customer service guy but he is a PSN troubleshoot support Assistant Manager. He actually knows what will go up in PSN and makes sure everything is working properly. I didn't expected to be flame for this but It was rather just to inform people not to worry about bans. I could probably reference him but dont know if he would get in trouble.

That seems plausible, you just have to realize that people in the internet think that everyone is like them. I once (Unknowingly) insulted a guy because he said he own 24 cars (16 of those supercars) and i got my arse handed to me when he started showing proof. I wont be childish and start asking for proof but if you have proof it will certainly make it better.

I find it pretty sad that even when someone comes up with a believable story that also seems logical, people still flame him for saying that the information comes from his cousin. How does that make the content any less believable?

It's like turning "everyone can edit Wikipedia" into "everything on Wikipedia is a lie".

It seems the obvious solution to all of this is to create cheat codes so those determined to "bend" the rules can just get what they want without loading down the servers.

I've not read the whole thread, but GT5 was overlaoding PSN? Really?

What about the many alt accounts people made before GT5? Those don't seem to be a problem.

What about the fact that a duper could only use one account anyway, so the number of active accounts never changed?

How many people outside of dedicated fans on GT sites duped? And duped with multiple accounts?

It just doesn't add up.

I'm also sure Sony would have got some sympathy if they announced that the servers were being overloaded instead of just keeping quiet.

It seems the obvious solution to all of this is to create cheat codes so those determined to "bend" the rules can just get what they want without loading down the servers.

Genius.

Just ban them, no loss to anyone

The problem comes from internet inferences :/ At least in my case, I didn't read the quoted material in the OP and thus only saw "my cousin says" which sounds incredibly implausible. English being the op's 4th language (impressive btw) makes it even harder for him to convey exactly what he's trying to say through text alone.

It's unfortunate, but things get misunderstood/misrepresented on the internet all the time because of this.

@mario2lopez I'd check with your cousin to see if he'd get in trouble for releasing this info. Although I wasn't worried about bans (bc I haven't done the exploit(glitch?) and bc I couldn't rationalize why they would ban people) I'm sure the mass majority of GTP'ers appreciate insider info like you have given us 👍

PD only has the money of people who bought the game. They can still collect money on DLC, GT5 getting recommended to other people, and GT6 at the least. PD has every reason in the world to listen to the players.

Think like this, GT5P generated quite of bit of money. If PD was satisfied with that, why bother releasing GT5?

Clutching at straws a bit, PD wont miss your £10 for DLC

I guess they didn't care for the $60 I put in for GT5 either then. Along with however many people are doing donuts on SS7.

With the amount of people who are doing the glitch? They'll miss that kind of money. Not to mention gaining a TON of bad press for being the first developer to get psn to ban people for doing something that was built into the game as a bug in the first place.

I seriously doubt they will ban anyone as they don't have the authority to do so.

Any plan for your school to start teaching multiplication?

Built into the game as a bug.... yeah they do that on purpose these days! It wasnt built into the game, not to be exploited in the way it has been. They would get a ton of good press for banning cheaters and no they wouldnt miss it if they banned a few hundred or thousand.

I'm sure that banning cheaters would bring good press. Only problem is there are none to ban. Banning people because PD was unable to make a coherent game wouldn't go down well at all.

You paid for a game you dont like, sucker

I don't like GT5? I wasn't even aware.

How many threads are with this topic. It's a search, please use. Find a existing thread, leave comments there. Geesh. That's what my cousin told me!
