I want to use my Speed 12 for the Non tuned races, I think I might have lightened it already. Does this disqualify it?

Maybe I'm crazy and you can't even lighten it.

The speed 12 is already tuned by default. There's no way to Un-tune it, which it true with all the race cars that you win.

"Some cars that you might want to consider using are the Dodge Viper, Pagani Zonda S, RUF CTR2, Aston Martin Vanquish, TVR Speed 12, or anything else with a lot of horsepower stock. "

From IGN guide race series list.

I haven't verified this to be fact, I was going off of memory which isn't very good these days. :D

Please ignore my post as I have not tested this opinion of my, thus it is just a Hypothesis not fact.

;)

When you get into the super car area there is really very little technology can do to improve what the manufacturer has already done. The speed 12 is pretty close to it's racing brother and I'm guessing that with it's price tag you are getting more or less the same automobile plus a cigarette lighter and a catalytic converter.

I checked and had lightened and upgraded suspension and tranny in my speed 12. I couldn't unlighten the car so I couldn't check if I could enter it.

Does anybody know for sure the eligibility of this car.

Other sugestions for this race? The untuned Miata ? (not).

I ran my Speed 12 in the Polyphony Cup, all i did was put super slick tires on.

HAHAHAH!!!!! using the Zonda C12S would be the dumbest decision ever!!!! it is arguably the worst handling car in the game!!!!!!

the writers at IGN.com are on crack!

Ah - so you can change tyres!! I didn't realise that. I thought it was the same as the Production (or whatever it's called) Series in GT1 where you couldn't do anything.

I ran an NSX Zero in the Midfield race just to see if I was competitive, but with a fair bit of hardwork on stock tyres I was just in front and judging by the AI's pitstops about square on tyre wear.

I figure with some medium hard slicks I can probably do the race with one stop.

What can and can't you do to the car for eligibility?

I gather from the much maligned IGN guide you can do pretty well anything except tune the motor - is that right?

I think you can change the oil and tires. I don't think you can touch the suspension, tranny, engine or anything else.

Am I right about the Oil change?

I do know you can do an oil change - I did one on the NSX just before I tried the race.

Alright! I'm gonna kick arse in my NSX!
