Nordschleife Fastest Lap Times

My best time so far is with the Ferrari F10. Still managed a 5:41 around the 'ring despite spinning out a few corners before the long straight, and a couple of other errors along the way. Still much faster than the 6:32 (and error free) run I did with the Sauber Merc many moons ago. The Ferrari F1s are a blast to drive around there.

I should clear my lap records and start fresh. I haven't been mobbing that circuit for quite some time now, and it would be great to go around with all the new cars I've acquired. Definitely one of my favorite things to do in GT5: flying lap in cockpit view while going around the nurburgring :D

6:33.133 Bugatti Veyron, fully modded, racing soft
6:54.xxx Lotus Elise 111R RM, fully modded, racing soft
8:03.xxx Marcos Mini Marcos, fully modded, sports medium

All stock W/ race soft tires :

07' Nissan GT-R - 7:26.xx ( Really easy to handle / almost dummy proof, under 7:20 definitely doable)

BMW M3 Coupe - 7:27.xx ( Incredible machine, extremely well balanced)

08' Viper SRT-10 ACR - 6:58.xx ( Best car for 100k and under IMO / ZR1 is crap by comparison, Awesome at the RING)

Lexus LFA - 7:18.xx ( Great engine note, fun and rewarding to drive once you figure it out)

Mazda Furai- 6:30.xx ( almost physics defying chassis performance, very smooth and quick)

Zonda R - 6:18.xx ( stupid fast car, under 6:00 very doable )

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo - 6:50.xx ( engine sounds mean, great fun to drive and very fast)

Raybrig NSX 06' - 6:48.xx (Awesome car, wicked handling)

managed to get a 7.55 with the 2011 sti, stock, racing tires. pretty amazing I got the exact same time as the record for this car.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEXADeLH_H4

i was racing online... if it wasnt cause of the other guys in it, i coulda done a 7.45-7.50 i think...

Yeah but too bad the car that ran that 7:55 wasn't a STOCK 11' WRX STI.

Not even the engine and turbo were the same. I believe that car was pushing something like 450bhp not 305 like a STOCK 11' STI.

I don't remember every modification on it but I do know it was FAR from a stock 2011 WRX STI. The EVO X is quicker and it runs 8:15- 8:20 tops so mo way in hell a STOCK 11' STI is running 7:55.

Do a search on yahoo or goggle or whatever and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's all a big lie to get people to buy a 2011 WRX STI.

In reality the 2011 WRX STI is behind the EVO somewhere around 8:25- 8:35.

Stock, Sport Soft Tires, No aids except abs=1. Finally I broke the 7 min barrier with a stock road car!!

You can break 7:00 even easier with a stock100k Viper SRT-10 ACR which is just 1/10 the price of the Enzo.

I haven't run so much on just the Nordschleife, as I much prefer the VLN/24-Hour version. I'm sure I'll do some more serious runs on the regular track sooner or later, since apparently that's what everyone else measures by.

I'm sure it's slow as hell, but I'm still fairly happy with a 9:53.777 in a stock '10 Camaro SS on the full course. The best I managed on the Nordschleife alone was 8:08.07, but that was surely not a perfect lap and I had put Comfort Softs on the car just to see what it would do with street tires on a dry track. I'll probably be trying that again, hardly driven the car with CS's and I was really just trying to get a lap.

The 9:53.777 has at least 5 seconds in it for me to find. It took a while to break 10:00 and I'm just as certain I can break 9:50, since I gained over 5 seconds on my ghost after a couple of moron moments. Damn the second half of that lap was fun.

Oil is the only thing changed from stock (except the CS's in the 8:08 run), OEM Sports Hard tires, no assists, real grip loss, heavy damage. Offline. Changed the brake bias if that matters.

I'll beat these times sooner or later, and eventually will run other cars, too.

Fanboy?? WTF are you talking about???

I stated that the EVO X is quicker than the 2011 WRX STi and that the STi doesn't run 7:55 stock which is correct.

Try giving the crack pipe a rest and come again, thanks.

6:50.029 in a Ford Lightning Pickup. :D

All mods including racing soft tires, stock exhaust. All aids off except for ABS at 1. Can get video for proof if needed.

Fastest pickup at the 'Ring so far in GT5?

Racing buddy of mine and I picked up a Lightening.
I spent a great deal of time tuning last night, never was totally satisfied, but decided to run a couple of hot laps before shuting the game down.
7.01.2xx with hitting the inside of the wall heading onto the finish straight, and messing up some corner exits... and turns out I had the gearing all wrong for that long straight... none of which "killed" my lap.
I doubt I've got 11 seconds in me (even with the truck sorted), but my buddy typically runs 10-15 seconds faster than I.... he may have something for you...
:).
I'll be setting the truck up a little better (if possible) this evening, and, then I'll turn it over to him... get some feedback and make some more adjustments...
I'll let you know where we get.

EDIT
Just realized this is kinda like "my friend can beat up your friend"
HA!

Had nothing for you.
6.58.xx
Simply could not get a handle on the truck. After several not-very-fun laps we were happy to move on to something more enjoyable.
I'd love to get your tune...

Few pics from my list:

Red Bull X2010, 3:42.126
Suzuki Escudo dirt trial car, 5:44.725
Nissan R390 road car, 6:07.589
Castrol Toms supra, 6:16.924
Audi RS6 avant, 6:35.352

These are all done on Racing soft tires and all tuning parts.

These are however with sports soft tires:

Suzuki GSX-R concept, 6:57.259
Lotus Evora, 7:01.984
Tesla roadster, 7:50.194
Volvo 240 GLT estate, 8:09.595
Volkswagen Sambabus, 8:20.028

7:04:xx F-150 SVT Lightning. Sports Softs and definately not "Stock", somewhere around 660hp. I am sure I can get into the 6s on this setup and a lil quicker with max HP.

I know, but see, you use racing tires on road cars, while I'm using sport soft tires. I have broke the 7 min barrier with many other cars after I posted this lap, and most important, with sport soft tires, not with Racing Tires, as many people use for road cars :

6:43.643 McLaren F1 '94
6:44.686 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '09
6:56.428 Ferrari Enzo '02
6:56.762 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce '09
6:59.072 Ferrari 458 Italia '09
6:59.670 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR '08
6:59.786 Ford GT '06

Anyway, here's 2 new lap times done today.

05:27.961 Nissan R92CP Race Car '92
05:52.674 BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97

Both are stock, engine & chassis overhaul, racing soft tires and max downforce. No aides except ABS = 1, grip set to real.

EDIT : Just improved my lap time with the R92CP.

Thats very good. My 787B did 5:35 I think. You should do it in the F1 2007 car. I've hit 4:54 with aids. Somebody I was racing online did 4:57 online with no driving aids and of course with the online lag (less grip.) Incredible. Beat me by 9 seconds a lap.

I ran a 6.45 in the zonda r after I watched the top gear where they tested it and talked about how it ran a 6.48....wanted to see if i could get there....granted I had it modded a little more.... :)

its scarey fast, I cant even imagine doing it in real life....

05:23.311 Toyota Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89
05:24.832 Mercedes Benz Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car '89

05:28.950 Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03
05:30.195 Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) '99
05:31.170 Peugeot 905 Race Car '92
05:38.064 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP - Team Peugeot Total '10

They are all stock with oil change, the used cars are with engine and chassis overhaul, all times done without assists except abs=1, racing soft tires, grip set to real.

The Minolta is the fastest, I can feel it immediatly when driving it, it has something that the other cars doesn't have, and isn't neither the most difficult to drive. I also love the Sauber, crazy acceleration, but has less grip than the Minolta. The Peugeot 908 is so stable, the easiest to drive, also the slowest (but I expected it, because it has the lowest HP amount). I was surprised by the Bentley, is easy to drive and crazy fast.
At first glance I expected the R92CP to be the fastest with its 1000 HP, but you know, power is not everything, and this is the demonstration.

(I posted this also in "Your favourite LeMans car" Thread, because it's related to both thread)
